Since FSG took over, they have been saying that they can compete with other clubs for the best players. And Klopp has said that 'big numbers' don't put Liverpool off. But, actions speak louder than words. We ARE NOT able to compete.
Speaking of competitiveness in the market, I can never see Mourinho or Guardiola managing LFC because they like to buy top players, which requires a lot of money.

Have to reply to this.
How can we not compete? Have we not bid 60 plus million for Keita? It's not the money it's the fact rbl aren't wanting to sell. Just paid over 30 million for Salah, WAS trying for a 60 plus million defender, again not money buy stupidity.
You really should check your facts before posting dribble about not competing financially. Not many teams spent more over the years since fsg than us.

If we went about business in the right way we would have had 2 of our top targets already in Sessegnon and VVD. so i dnt think your right about that at all. especially hearing the numbers being thrown around that we were or are willing to pay for VVD and Keita.

Nothing wrong with the owners and the money they invest. 30 odd mil on salah, 10 on Robertson. And didn't we have 50 odd turned down for Keita? Such a pointless post.

Lifelongred, beat me to it.

Maybe we're spending the Coutinho money?

You never know kids.

The sessagnon problem is historical. It has nothing to do with Klopp.

Since 1992 LFC has been the 4th highest spender in the EPL, with only three 2nd places to show for it. So, regardless of owners, the club is definitely up there in spending. Since FSG bought the club, we are the 5th highest spenders in the EPL, so once again still up there in spending. How can you possibly blame the owners, when it's everything else, aside from spending, that is not being gotten right? How can you make huge profits on sales such as Suarez, Torres and Sterling and then not be able to re-invest to improve? It's not the owners who pick the players to be bought as replacements, is it? It's the people who make the other decisions that have let the team and the fans down. So, give the owners a break.

You can admire ManC for their spending power all you want (they are tops of the list since 1992), but i'd rather look at Spurs and what they have done in the last 5 years. A total net spend of only a couple of million, a young progressive manager and an equally young, performing team that is always a threat in the top four. That's an example of how to get it right.

Spurs blew the bale money.

And what has spurs won?

Think as owner roman abramovic is best example to follow.

bought Chelsea who were average, spent lots of his money to bring success, then he cashed on Chelsea's success where he could attract massive sponsors etc

After few seasons turned them into business model where they can be self sufficient, and mind you they're 1 of the most successful club in England this decade.

read some where this season they've received over 100M from selling their academy players.

{Ed002's Note - They weren't that average when he purchased them - they had just beaten LFC to the Champions League.}

Come on ED2 average was a compliment.

How many league titles or CL trophies had Chelsea won before Roman arrived? 😂😂.

{Ed002's Note - I think everyone accepts Liverpool have won a lot of trophies, but it was a while back.}
