Eds. just to clarify the Can situation. has he not signed for us because he is not happy with our or is he prefering Juve?
You said our valuation is differs from Juves. what price have we put in him?
Also if juve opt for there second choice and his move falls through. it will be awkward keeping a player who prefered a move elsewhere!

Craig, there's a thread on the rumours page in which Ed001 answers all of this. Basically, although Emre is happy here, he wants to play more regularly. At Juve he would be pretty much a first pick in midfield, whereas we have a wealth of options here, even more if Keita comes in, although unlikely. Emre wants the regular game time to give him maximum chance of forcing his way into the German team for the world cup next year.
Its entirely understandable from the player's point of view. You could argue he lacks fight if he's not prepared to fight for his place, but looking at last season, Hendo has always been preferred to him. Consider that Couts is likely to move back into midfield, Wiji and Lallana had very good seasons playing from midfield, Milner is available for midfield again given Robertson's arrival, and Grujic is on the fringes too, and I can understand Can's PoV. Of course, were Couts to leave and/ or Clyne (promoting Milner to first choice RB) things could be different. But, as Ed001 said, why wouldn't Can fancy a move to Juve to be first choice and win trophies? Can't fault a player for that.
