Hi eds pressed send before i finished typing before so i have re submitted it again.
I am really looking forward to the season starting next week. It is slightly dissapointing with not too many signings but maybe that will change before the end of the window ( although Salah is a brilliant signing) . Hope we are ok with injuries from now on bar the Lallana one we have a good squad and if everyone fit we only need a better cb than Lovren and we could have a brilliant season. I feel we will be really good in the chamlions league aswell judging by how well we have done the previous season against good oposition. Everybody chill out regarding signings it is not the end of the world if we do not sign anybody else. let's just support the club we love and see how things go. You never know some players may step up and surprise us this season. No matter what happens next season i will be fully behind the team and players we have available. YNWA.

no not really. not without signing some quality in depth.
our squad broke down last january because it couldn't handle the stresses of a solely domestic schedual one match per week and with meagre additions to it how will it sustain 2 games weekly.
where is the genuine quality in depth in order to rotate.

Why do people obsess over the net spend? Its improving the squad that matters, leave the money matters to the people that get paid to do so. WE have improved no doubt in preparation for the upcoming season but signing a top class CB has become a priority after witnessing Lovren's continuing brain farts.

I do agree, when you looked st our bench at times, it was no where near good enough and that was without any European football.
Ed001 is also correct, we had no leadership and if Jwndo gets injured again, not sure where it's going to come from.
We also have no leader at the back imo.

Tom1975, the net spend is a pathetically false narrative. We spent near 80m last season. That is not net spend. That is expenditure, pure and simple. The owners gave Klopp what he wanted and were ready to give him the sums needed for NK and/ or VVD but saying they were/ are tight-fisted is laughable and dishonest. Klopp decides who we spend money on, not FSG as the Ed's have said numerous times. I'm not an FSG apologist, BTW. Just stating facts.
As for last season, our team did not suffer from any stress, fatigue or nothing at all. Our boys were just devoid of ideas and self belief in those games and once we got into some sticky spots in games, our heads would drop and we would start making mistakes. I do agree that more leadership on the pitch is needed and this is where players like Matip andf Migs should take over as they are more experienced. Milner is not a leader hence, can not be trusted to bring any leadership.

it was like our team got a puncture midseason due to lack of genuine quality replacements on the bench
examine our bench for watford and see how many genuine first 11 standard players are on it. i ll say 1, emre can. that's it and its not good enough.
net spend is rather important when it could purchase the two world class players we arguably need to turn us into title contenders. world class footballers don't come for free.

What a happy bunch of people on here. No point in trying to be positive. Fsg out klopp out for tapping up. Coutinho to go on strike to get a move. Van dijk to chelsea. Ox to replace can who is going to juve. Hendo to be injured. Matip and lovren both to be injured. Moreno as our left back. We will be lucky to finish in the top half and will get knocked out vs hoffenheim. What is the point of us supporting them. May aswell give my season ticket away to somebody who can go the game and boo in my place.

Last years team improved towards the end of last season.
The youngsters are more experienced and of a high quality.
Add to this Robertson, a natural left back
Solanke
Sturridge
Salah.
More competition in goal.
We are way stronger.
