Coutinhos a goner. What a blow it will be. We may get close to 100 million for him but we're not buying anyone close to world class to replace him . Now you'll have fans saying but we bought solanke and salah but he's been key to our attacking play.
There's noone even available regardless to replace coutinho. Teams win titles but the lad has been vital for us and was truly growing into a great great player. I guess his best years will be at Barca.
It's a great signing for Barcelona especially as a replacement for iniesta and an aging team that needed a young world class playmaker. It'll be a big blow for us. If you think differently you're in denial.

Saying people who don't agree with you are in denial isn't entirely true the only thing you seem even close to the mark with in your comment is the fact Coutinho will go. Close to 100 million? It will exceed 100 million by quote and amount of bet otherwise FSG would have simply said 'add ten million there fellas' when they received the previous bid. Watching salah is great he's full of energy, quick and has a lot of ability, which we missed while mane was out last season, nobody has put any pressure on solanke although I believe he could do a job. I think you need some citalopram.

You can't judge how we're going to perform before the season starts. The wildcard to what we truly can achieve next season is Daniel sturridge. Already he's had an injury. However if By some miracle we get 30 plus appearances out of him especially in the Premier league we will be there and there abouts even without coutinho.
If we forget about sturridge and focus on coutinho yes it will be a blow. Losing your best player and hoping to improve on last season? I'm not sure. Salahs a good player and addition. Solanke will be in and out.
Before the window opened I wanted a quality left back, centre back and midfielder. Robinson is a poor signing but I hope he works extremely hard, vastly improves and turns out a solid defender at the very least.
Keita and van dijk are up in the air.

The squad wasn't good enough to compete for silver wear last year, selling your best play maker isn't the way to go about changing that.

Yes if you don't think it will be a huge blow for us especially our champions league aspirations if you had any before hand. Fans playing it off need to come back into the light. Coutinho pulled us through some huge games because he's got that extra bit of quality that the rest of the squad don't have with the exceptions of a fit Daniel sturridge. It's called being world class.

Davey it is a valid point though. We won nothing and klopp got as much as he could with the squad. Fans forget we players poorly for the last few months of the season. Some called it tiredness. I called it a lack of depth in the squad. Regardless of coutinho for a moment. We still needed reinforcements. Salary could be an excellent addition. However we have yet to improve the back line. Van dijk would be a welcomed man as would keita.

Well I don't see any positives in the current situation?
Selling our best player for three magic beans to Barcelona is. not exactly the best way to go into the new season.
Fail to land our top two transfer targets because of incompetence.
Previous form shows that we are largely incapable of bringing in top players and when presented with a huge sum of money, we have wasted it.
Regardless of what the ITK's say, the chances of landing VVD and Keita are about zero, given that RBL don't need or want to sell and Southampton do not want to sell to us.
I have a bad feeling about this season.
