City, Utd, West Brom, spurs, Chelsea and Southampton all addded or adding centre halfs any which would have improved Liverpool and we're sat on our hands if VVD doesn't come off we are going to look silly.

Let's hope that won't be the case. I am sure the board is working for at least 2 more incomings.

Lets examine that statement. City are after signing Jonny Evans, a die hard Man United fan who is at best a journeyman footballer, he wouldn't want to play for us and we shouldn't be looking at him as a starting centre back. West Brom will be going for Kevin Wimmer, who didn't at all look a top class centre back last season. Spurs haven't signed anyone yet but are looking at Davison Sanchez who is very over rated. Chelsea signed Rudiger who I don't really rate personally as he is a bit Djimi Traore on the ball. Southampton are after that Dutch lad from Lazio, who isn't particularly good in the air or dominant and they have signed an unknown Polish lad. I would contend that none of those players would improve our starting 11.

{Ed001's Note - Evans, to be fair, was very good at United, he just suffered so many injuries they gave up on him. It is purely his fitness that is the issue with him.}

Lindelof wouldn't improve Tranmere mate! And who's this fella Spurs are signing? Hopefully this transfer window has shown we are done taking chances on average players and going hard after our first choice targets. Imagine if we'd turned our attention to Johnny Evans?! It would be carnage on this site!

we could always go for Jonny Evans then and beat Man City to the punch.

I actually think Evans is a decent defender.

Would signing Evans cause more carnage than signing no one.

Clee I honestly think he would!

OP, your post is illogical. Mr Dennis responded to it, remarkably.
