I agree with both of the above and we still need a leader at CB.
I also hope Gomez can keep injury free as he will be a useful addition. One thing I noticed about Gomez yesterday, was that he didn't just head the ball into "no mans land" when the ball came to him in the air. When he had the time, he chested the ball down and picked a pass.

You can get World class CBs, but if you don't have good Def Mid protecting then, they will look ordinary. Having said that there is no excuse for us, being pathetic in defending set pieces.

The way we want to play with a high line cuts out the need for having someone sitting in front of 2 cen.

We shouldn't need an out and out defensive midfielder while playing the high line. We just need CM's who know how to read the play, fill gaps, cover positions and pick up runners.
Milner did a good job in that yesterday. I am not saying he's the answer but he showed up well yesterday. Just my opinion on what we need for our Managers style of play.

I like the look of Nzonzi. Premier league experience, won a couple of Europas with Sevilla and available at a reasonable price. He is also strong and tall which helps in set pieces.
