Lets get away from the negative transfer talk for a moment.
Here is something I would LOVE to happen this season.
Coutinho is probably staying now unless Barcelona actually come back with an acceptable bid which doesn't seem likely but who knows with how quick things change in football.

So then;
1) I hope we stay in the Champions League long enough to be drawn against Barcelona (or even in group stages but will be better in knockout stages)

2) I hope we leave Coutinho out of the starting 11 andhave him as a 90th minute time waste sub.

I hope we beat them and show him and them who’s boss.
If we are winning and bring Coutinho on in the 90th minute, it will add insult to injury for them xD

Or alternatively;
They do sign Coutinho.

And we beat them anyway whoever Couts replacement shall be does an Evra-Suarez and celebrates in front of Couts xD.

{Ed002's Note - One of the fundamental flaws of many Liverpool fans is being consumed with spite and hatred. The supporters had a great reputation in the past but that has been flushed down the toilet by the the modern day vein-popping, eye-bulging, tattooed, knuckle-dragging, bonehead fans whose ugly slobbering faces are pressed against the windows of the opposition coaches spewing their bile. A great pity really.}

Poor coutinho shouldn't of signed that big juicy contract should he ed. Poor poor guy. Suffering st the hands of Liverpool.

Your ours. Rather have him the reserves for the remainder of his deal than play for Barcelona and yes I am that bitter haha.

This is all football supporters in general.

It's not at all unique to Liverpool fans.

That was a bit of banter but as usually your replies are always top Ed2 love it 😂 such a great description too haha
I have a couple of half finished tattoos (a pokemon sleeve and chest piece) but besides that I am none of the above 😜
I never hold a grudge either I tend to just laugh and make a joke out of everything, heck when Suarez went about his move, I started watching Barcelona for a bit to see how well he did and i’ll probably do the same with Couts if he goes.
As disrespectful as some players can be towards the club if they put in a hard graft over the years for us I will still support them 😄.

{Ed002's Note - Good for you Phil - players soon become aware if the fans stop giving them support.}

20 Aug 2017 18:19:48
Wow Ed02 I thought I was reading a description of myself then 😂

On another note. what is this 7pm deadline about tonight from Barcelona on Couts and are you aware if this is indeed true?

Cheers

Jon.

{Ed002's Note - To be honest I really don't know and I would not worry about it too much. As I said, I would not be surprised by another offer coming in.}

20 Aug 2017 18:21:04
Ed002, while we're on that topic, I'd like to.

{Ed002's Note - Sure.}

Looks like my previous reply went incomplete. What I was saying Ed was, what is your opinion of media's involvement in this? I feel that and social media has turned the game more plastic.

I'm not taking away anything from your comments or not running away from what you have mentioned. I agree to that, to a large extent as well.

{Ed002's Note - Absolutely, social media has changed the paradigm of the typical sports media immeasurably. News is now instant, misleading, correct, etc.. People take to Twitter and believe everything they read whiclst fat kids from Bolton are more than happy to put more swill in the trough for them. In terms of the general media (newspapers) then they will pull thoughts of blogs and social media and then develop them to the point that they become plausible. Some clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool come to mind) have their sweetened tame media that they share a little bit more than usual with. But out there remains quite a lot of more astute journalists who will speak with clubs they have a relationship with, peak to agents who don't look to exploit the media and often speak with players at training grounds. Clubs will welcome journalists they have a good reputation with and who they know will not be looking to twist anything. There are also a large number of intermediaries who fall in to a gray area where they are truly looking to exploit players one way or another for their own gain. You can look up things like the al Bangura tale which is all tied in to a guy who has published a book on the exploitation of youngster in football. There has been quite a big deal going on in Belgium about it for a couple or three of years. Investigations are on-going in Spain which has the Cotonou Agreement where African and Caribbean players are not counted against non-EU quotas so t Others here is a periodic influx of Africans, often young and from poor families. I suspect a bigger deal than is necessary will be made of the whole matter. So these agents will use the media, social media and any contacts they can to gain leverage and exploit in all sorts of ways. The easiest is the social media stream which feeds the gullible.}

come on ed02 😂 We're not that bad!
Nothing like the racist rent boys of your beloved chelski.

{Ed002's Note - Really? beloved? You are a prime example of bonehead rubbish - you want to make it about Chelsea?}

20 Aug 2017 19:25:53
As usual ed2 another very informative detailed reply about the media. Always appreciate posts like that. Since finding this site several years ago I learnt to ignore the media and wait for you guys or Macca to confirm something. Saves being disappointed by something that the media has completely made up due to there being nothing else to write about the club.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Phil.}

20 Aug 2017 19:44:45
I agree with EVERYTHING Ed002 has to say throughout this thread. Good solid to the point stuff. Keep it up.

20 Aug 2017 20:04:59
Thanks for the reply Ed.

Social media has gone toxic with constant abuses, whinings, journalists have become lazy with senseless and repeated questions, pundits are discussing utter crap about the gameplay and formations. Papers recycling same rubbish. The few knowledgeable lot have either got their tongues cut out or have gone back into their shells.

Apart from the 90 minutes, everything else is just trash. Embarrassingly, I've got to hold my hand up and admit to have contributed to it as well.

20 Aug 2017 20:17:01
Read the newspapers you're misinformed don't read the newspapers you're uninformed.

You won't here a truer saying than that.

20 Aug 2017 23:03:31
Chrisp, i’d rather be uninformed than misinformed.

Example, i’d rather not know if a woman I liked, likes me back. Instead of being told she actually loves me but then finding out it is far from the truth😉.

{Ed002's Note - She doesn'tlike the hair on the soles of your feet.}
