I disagree. Everton were the better team for most of that game and had they had a real striker, they would have scored 2/ 3 goals today b4 Utd woke up. Now, this shows how poor Utd was during the whole game overall. Ed25, I know it hurts right now BUT take heart as your boys were very good today.

That's a typical Jose performance. You don't win matches for being a better team. You win when you score more goals than opposition. Everton has no pace up front or at the back. Only god knows why lookman doesn't get a snif in. Mirallas should have started as well. And Siggurdson is not a wide player.
Jose Mourinho's team doesn't dominate possession. that's not his style and never ever had been.
UTD had complete control of the match and had Lukaku not missed an open goal it would have been over by 45ts. Over to you Ed025.

Harry, had Everton had a decent striker who could really feed off Roo's vision and guile, Utd would have been sunk today. They were lucky to get a point at Stoke as Stoke should have put 4 past that boring lot. Today, They were awful, one-paced and after Valencia's goal, NOBODY could really say where their goal would come from until Williams made his howler (the guy is worse than Klavan) . I felt sorry for Roo as the Utd defence crapped themselves every time he had the ball. Jones the best defender in England? Only a manc or a "football fan" would believe that nonsense. The guy is a joke and Bailly was no better even tho, I rate him. The only good player they have is Matic.
We will see if they win the PL or if Mou will start blaming me for all his issues cos there are issues in this team and NO, Klopp should NEVER bring that boring dross over to Anfield as we actually like scoring goals. We just have to be able to keep them out to the barest minimum.

I agree with bingo coz he talks sense and understands how damaging it is to constantly knock liverpool's defence and call for klopp's head. Do you want us to win the league? Or would you rather tie red and white tassels on the cup and hand it to utd. They are not the most complete side in the league. At the beginning I thought we would win it, honestly I did. I still think we have a chance. (I personally keep faith until it is mathematically impossibe) but I'm worried about the cbs, they look shakey and lacking confidence big time. At this stage you have to say city look good. This is really early doors though and those writing off liverpool would've written chelsea off last year.

I don't expect City to win the league. They have weaknesses. I think they'll struggle without lukaku max. And as has been said a few times on here. they ain't played anyone decent yet. Stoke shouldve done em and Everton, despite the scoreline, shouldve got something. I'm not that worried about the utd games. It's the city's the spurs and Chelsea that will be the big tests. Utd are a europa league team really, especially without the big lad rom.

I can't stand Mourhino but at the end of the day he gets results. He won the Europa League and the league cup and got United into the champions league in his first season.
I've sat watching Klopps Liverpool playing brilliant football at times but we've won nothing.
I was at the fa cup final in 2001 when we beat Arsenal 2-1. We were poor for lost of the game but ended up running out winners, I was absolutely buzzing leaving cardiff that night.
It's all about winning in my opinion .

When someone hoof the ball your center backs need to win it called the first ball and so what happens after that? The ball doesn't reach the sky. Does it? There comes the importance of positionally sound midfielder to win the second ball. Most of the times neither we win the first ball or the second ball.

That's the biggest difference of all between the 2 clubs, The 'spine' of any team starts between the sticks.
A keeper of De geas quality probably means you have 30 less goals to score each year.

They have had a great start, their new forward is scoring plenty already and their super expensive mf is coming good (still a massive rip off) But they haven't been tested against a decent team yet. Therefore to say they are going to win the league is more than premature. I think without lukaku they are going to struggle for goals and punning your hopes on one player is very dangerous.
But that really isn't the point of this thread. The point was about lfc fans swooning over utd and knocking lfc. I personally couldn't bring myself to say some of the stuff that's been said. For me it goes past thinking critically.

I think we're getting this all wrong regards Mourinho. how can people say that nay manager doesn't want to win 4-0? the point is that these managers set up their team to be difficult to beat but from that structure they have the firepower to also move forward and score goals. can't complain with their results so far. and actually if you are complaining it just sounds like sour grapes lol
