Ed01 just out of curiosity what would you think of matip moving to a dm, by that a mean with him good on the ball the passing side shouldn't be a problem and he wouldn't be last line of defence, or do you think he would be out he dept?
{Ed001's Note - he is far too sluggish working back to play in an area of the pitch that requires much more running than the centre of defence. Not a good idea for me. He would be overrun there.}

Also not aware enough to play Dm for me knuckles. You never see matip looking around him off the ball.

Yeah a hear you ed01 mate, do u have a prefered option on who you think we should be looking at for dm?

Lots of people seem to think that if a CB is good on the ball but not great defensively they should move I to midfield.
At DM you need to be good on the ball and great defensively and generally work a lot harder.
It's the reason that John Stones isn't a DM or Phil Jones. They aren't DMs they are just poor defenders.

Dawn curiosity on think mate two diffrent options fella. Not sure about stones but didn't man u try jones in that position mate?

There is nothing wrong with the lad as a player, he is a good defender, just loses his head every so often and goes into rash challenges. Worst thing is, from his point of view, is that he always ends up picking up an injury doing so.}

Superred i didn't know matip used to play there pal, but that alone probably answers my question he mustn't of done well in that position.
