That defence needs someone in front, otherwise we will continue to fail.
Milner there all day for me to start an attack from the back.
Many will disagree, but he's the only one I would have faith with.
None of this cavaliar bombing forward shabite, just somenone with the experience, brains and discipline to cover for some of the poor excuses behind him.

Milner is now our saviour, i can't believe how bad the summer window actually was, i knew it wasn't the best but this proves how bad it actually was.

Milner was awful. You can have 6 kantes in front of that defence and we would still ship goals. They need to be replace in January end of. Migs klavan lovren.

Milner is not a cdm he just runs around too much, need some discipline and some steel.

Milner doesn't really show much positional discipline when played at center mid, so I strongly suspect that wouldn't work. I get we need to change things, but Milner at defensive midfield ain't the answer.

Milner isn’t a centre midfielder. You put him in against top class opposition and he gets shown up.

Many were singing Milner's praises vs Maribor and I just laughed. I knew he would be found out vs better teams and I was not shocked.
OP, so putting a DM in front of the defence will suddenly make Migs stop making the useless mistakes he makes and stop putting the fear of our Lord into his defenders, right? Did not think so.
