Ed001 if your about mate just want to ask do you think JK is getting used to the league now i. e. his use of more cautious formations?

{Ed001's Note - yes, he is gradually adapting and realising you can't go hell for leather every week.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Spot on, Ed. He was alrwady learning to adapt in certain periods even last season espe. near the end where he switched the system to make us more impregnable BUT I think he still believed that his original ethos would work BUT alas, it has not and something had to change. It is impossible for us to continue just flooding the opposition with our players and leaving us thread bare at the back on the counter.

Klopp simply has made us more settled and solid defensively cos our CB's for example, are individually poor so you play a system that protects them and not leave them exposed, which is what he is doing. He has figured out that we can remain solid and still score goals. All we have to do is remain solid and let the front 4 do their thing cos they are that talented. Long may he continued.

Well if he's learning to adapt that show's he does know a thing or two about tactics.

And that there is no need for a dedicated DM ;-) unless you are Mourinho who seems to enyoy playing with eleven.

Barry, you don't get to have the reputation Klopp built and the success he's had in the past if you know nothing about tactics. In fact, it his astute tactics that has allowed him to thrive as he never had the type of money available to him in Germany to rival Bayern, like he does at LFC right now to get the players he wants. He may stubborn at times BUT which manager is not? Provided he is able to change his mind and tweak things, I'm okay with that as only imbeciles never change their minds.

I am glad that Klopp is slowly learning from his mistakes. Stubbornness can be any manager's biggest undoing in the premier league and KLopp has realised he cannot go gung ho every game without leaving our defenders exposed time and again. BUt the again, no matter which system KLopp plays, he needs to upgrade the CB position if we are to battle the likes of City and Chelsea.

Loris, beg your pardon. Yes Klopp doesn't have the $ to rival Bayern at Dortmund. But now he hasn't the $ to rival Citeh, ManU, Chelsea or even Arsenal. I am not sure if that is too far gap to bridge. Pochettino seem doing better .

pochettino is a great manager but let's not forget he has been there for 3 years and is the beneficiary of a progressive club with solid scouting and sustainable recruitment.

There is a pressure on his Job like every employee! He can’t pass another season without winning anything. Top 4 is a mandatory for him to continue in the job!

Changed your mind about klopp again buzzer. About 3 or 4 games ago you'd lost complete faith and were thinking you wrong to be excited about his appointment. I wonder if we hit another slump if you'll go back to calling for his head?

You're a joke mate.

87red, I got upset with Klopp because of his failure to change systems and formation according to the opposition. His shenanigans in the summer window ruined a possible title challenge this summer for not buying good defenders. But he has made attempts to adapt, and I am glad as it benefits LFC. I support the club and want it to do well so whether its Klopp or anyone else who takes LFC to the promised land, I don't care as long as the club wins.

Relaxia, Poch has been there longer than Klopp and tho he has made a lot of progress, he has won nothing since he got there. In fact, he has won nothing in his whole career till now BUT he still has time. We shall see. We will see if he has bridged that gap even tho I agree that he has the most balanced team in the PL, period.

Buzzer, 87red is right. You wanted Klopp gone 4 games ago and you were not the only one upset with results during that time. The rest of us just chose to be more measured and see the trees from the forest, choosing to stick with the team and manager cos we knew it would not last and Klopp is smart enough to adapt even tho he did not do it when we thought he should have.
