Lots of posts about Pep and winning CL. So to lighten the mood (if we are both lucky enough to get there) would you rather take your chances versus City in the semis over two legs plus another team in the final or in the final with a '50/ 50' chance of winning the cup in a one off game?

2 legs as we get to play at Anfield.
I could see a one off game being tight and going to pens, which recently (v city) hasn’t been kind to us!

Ed / posters please correct me if I’m wrong. Liverpool under Klopp haven’t beaten a Man City under Pep in a one off final / trophy game and City haven’t beaten us in a 2 leg game. So for me it would be the final. Might as well win it and put the ghost to rest at the same time.

Good question! I would agree with Reyrey. A game at Anfield could be the difference.

As the question is asked final all day. If it's guaranteed to the final or guaranteed semi final its final all day for me.

As to whether we have a better chance in a once off game or two legged game v city specifically. I would still take a one off game in neutral venue. I would back us to beat any team in a one off game and in a neutral ground our support would still be much louder without doubt.

Two legged tie all day long. Koop has become very very cautious against the so called bigger teams and that is what he would do against City if it is just the final. If there was a game at Anfield, he would be more attack minded.

JK23, we haven't beaten Pep and City in a one off final cos we have NEVER played them in a one-off final under Pep. We have beaten sorry not beaten, smashed City to bits under Pep in a two legged tie.
