Wow I did not truly understand the damage that they all did to the club! Such an insightful article as always thank you!

You mention a few deals in place that went wrong, Am I right in saying the likes or Ramos, villa, Silva were all close to joining until “something” went wrong!

Knowing some of the players we missed out on generally upsets me. Particularly Dani Alves. I think he would have been amazing for us.

We had a chance at Dani Alves (who every man and his dog knew would be a beast) and we screwed up and signed Jermaine Pennant? Yeah, and we wonder why we haven't won the PL in 30 years?

I think that the fact they didn’t sign Alves and bought 2 players instead, and followed that with “in hindsight. ” which is exactly what they said when they decided against buying quality over quantity a few years earlier just shows a real lack of learning lessons.

Thanks Ed yes, perhaps the site would go into meltdown if you created a team of what we could of been with a decent owner/ CEO/ DOF.

as the misses watches celebs go dating, i have had the mis-fortune of seeing bits of it. J Pennant is on it and comes across as a real bell end!
