Great start to the season for Liverpool

Great start to the season, really dug in deep to get some good results. One thing is for sure, this season in particular, there really are no easy games. Banana skins if you'd like to call them are planted everywhere, especially in the likes of Southampton, West Brom, West Ham, Possibly Cardiff and many others which would have been classed as not even top 10 teams before the season kicked off, have invested well and already caused upsets.

That shows the strength in our league and how we have got to be absolutely immaculate if we are to mount any serious challenge on the top 4. So far, I think we have been and albeit currently we may not be playing as well as the back end of last year but we are getting the right results and still up there at the peak of the league. We can't be too harsh on ourselves, one guy from the Anfield Rap lambasted us saying we were poor and they were poorer on the weekend. I really don't believe that, I went and yes the second half we didn't come out and play the nice football but we did what we had to do. One thing is for sure, I think a lot of people are forgetting we have Coutinho and Johnson to come back into the team, which can I say will make all the difference to our style of play. We have got through so far without all our key players playing together and still got the right results, I cannot wait until these 2 come back into a formation I think, they will most certainly thrive from.

With Jordan Henderson, Steven Gerrard and Phillipe Coutinho in our midfield, I don't think you will find a more complete centre of the park. It may not strike you like the names of Chelsea or Man City but the unity is there and they all want to play for each other. Sometimes its about having the right players in you team, not the best and the mechanisms for a successful team is playing as a team, for your team mates, for your manager and for the fans which we certainly are doing. Manchester United are a great example of a football club who won titles with what i'd call a average at best squad with 2/3 top players. They won leagues, games in the last minute and made Old Trafford a fortress and it was all down to spirit and all the above I mentioned. Now that unity is starting to get re-built with a new manager with new ideas you can see the results aren't going the way they are used to!

Its this kind of heart that will drive us to glory, added to the quality which we already have. Let me put it like this, put our squad next to Manchester United's and you guys tell me which one is better?

I might be wrong, we might fail this year but I believe not, I believe in this team and this manager. We do our bit, we believe as well and in anything we can achieve all of our ambitions this year and going forward
