Here’s hoping Slot won’t end up being our Ten Hag.

Why would he? Because he's Dutch and bald? Grow up!

Ten Hag was more successful in the Dutch league and look how that’s working out. When did I reference his hair or lack there of, do yourself a favour and grow up!

With some of our (fans) preferred managers now ruled out of the running what are peoples opinions on de zerbi? I was not in favour when our options included alonso and even nagelsman but now he is starting to look like a better option than the proposed Slot. I know Slot is well regarded but is a huge gamble coming from a weak league and de zerbi is premier league established and doing well for Brighton considering he has had all his star players either injured or sold.

I'd have De Zerbi down as a far better option than most on here think. I agree Slot a huge gamble, but don't know much about him. good luck to him if he gets it though.

This is a comedy post surely.

De Zerbi is a straight no.

Just watched "PL Masterclass" with Ali and Claudio Tafarel speaking about all things GK.

I had to pinch myself when it dawned on me that I was watching two of the absolute best GK's I ever laid eyes on (saw Tafarel play for the first time in 1985 in the U20 WC) talk about the position and how Ali prepares and trains.

If you haven't given this a watch, you should cos I now realize that all the worldy saves Ali (and Kellerher) make are don't really happen on their own. They guy works his butt of in training along with Kellerher under Tafarell.

Cos according to AB1 The GOAT, "Your position is 50% of a save".

Boss!

Slot is Ed002 approved. Which means he’s highly rated and very well thought of.

Hi eds,

If Amorim does indeed join us, do you think he plays Szob and Harvey on the right in a 3-4-3?

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - I do expect Szoboszlai to play in one of those roles off the forward, and it would make sense for Harvey to do so as well.}

Who's your money on to be our next manager, Ed? Do you think the Amorim ship has sailed?

{Ed001's Note - I honestly have no idea. As it is not going to be Alonso, I have stayed away from looking at who it is. Difficult to get enthused about anyone, so I am just going to wait until someone is actually appointed and then do my research on them.}

I’d be tempted to try Harvey on RAM and Szob on LAM so they both cut inside on their favoured foot.

Great site, curious to know what managers play the same type of football, High press etc as Klopp.

Slot does. 4-2-3-1, fullbacks push up to help regain the ball high up the pitch.

Unpopular opinion but I think we need to sell Jota, in addition to Salah, at the beginning of next season.

He simply can not be trusted to stay fit and play for a long duration without injury. And, I am not talking a small niggle here or there. He always pick up an injury that keeps him out for a substantial amount of time, then, comes back, before being out again for a significant period of time due to a new or similar injury, rinse and repeat.

A great finisher, mind you, but enough is enough. No point having the talent at the club if you can not be consistently used. It has been this case ever since he joined Liverpool and has shown no signs of changing.

Nunez, Gakpo and Diaz, plus two additional signings and I think we will be fine. We need players with greater resiliency and availability.

I would have kept Salah too, but with a year left on his contract and having done very little recently to earn a new one at a similar or higher rate, I say we sell now and get a decent fee for him. I doubt we'll get £150 million, but I could see between £75 to £100 million.
