As much as we all would like a new signing I think it's best to wait until the summer as there will me more players available. Hello Eds, enjoy the many fantasy posts and your witty responses, however could you maybe explain why, since we have had over 3 or 4 months since the close of the last transfer window, in which to look at and identify potential targets for January, we always seem to leave any signings until the last minute. If we have identified a player, do the powers that be at Liverpool truly believe that we will get a January bargain by constantly playing the waiting game.
If we have chosen a target and we know that target will wear the shirt with pride, pay the bloody money and sign him. If said target, a player that KK knows will improve the first team, is bought early in January, we could have used the player in the last 5 or so games. Please can you try to enlighten me with your interpretation of this backward way of using the January window. I think our team is good enough.if we played most of our matches the way we played the other night with so much determination there is no reason why we cannot beat most teams in the league.I do agree we need a bit more depth but it just annoys me a bit when i see us beating big teams and then drawing at home to a lower league team i think what kenny said about his players in public was the correct thing to do.they earn far to much these days and have no respect for the club.no player should be at any club just for the sake of money.they should want to be proud of that club and always want to try there hardest.players like cavani who are valued at 40 and 50 mill by there clubs and agents i blame the likes of real madrid and man city etc.teams that will pay any price for glory but its been proved that it doesnt always work-Kaka and Torres are good examples.we dont need any more overvalued players we need to be wise and realistic and the way football transfers are going its the likes of city,chelsea,madrid that are hiking every player valuation up.its spoiling the game

Hi Ed's, Just wondering if you actually think Carroll was part of the sabermetrics statistical approach for purchasing players, or just a quick fix for torres leaving.. my reasoning for this is, I've seen him take way too many horrible touches to even be considered as a 10 million player. Eds do you agree with me that there aren't many good players available in January and if you want them you pay over the odds? I don't think we should sign players for the sake of it I would be more than happy to wait until summer. I think our squad is the best it's been in a while in terms of potential, quality and depth. I would also give Joe Cole a chance to prove himself when he returns from loan. I think he would do a great job on the right at the minute. I don't know the reason we loaned him out to be fair but theres obviously a reason. What's you view on this? {Ed016's Note - I think he will stay in france or a move to London will suit him. This is for Ed 16, your doubt of Texeira joining (David) is that based on a hunch or actual inside info? I know info getting out of Anfield these days is pretty minimal but u gotta admit its all a bit history repeating itself a la Suarez last year.
