Hello, Ed001/002, apologies first if already answered. But is there any chance that we could go for Eriksen or Lallana? I know you'll say, they both are out of our price range. But what if we tabled a player+cash deal? We could give them Coutinho. He goes missing in big games. Would happily swap him for either of them.
HAVE A NICE DAY!

Believable1 Unbelievable98

{Ed001's Note - no. Levy would never let us have them for a reasonable price.}

Eriksen goes missing as much! Watched city vs spurs at whl, eriksen pulled out of about 30 tackles/headers and was non existant! Lamela has done next to nothing too! Personally I like coutinho!

Agree4 Disagree1

Coutinho is not the finished product. He has the quality but not the consistency 'yet'. I do have faith in him as he has the vision and quality to be up there among the best. I don't think BR will sell him. at least I believe he will be around next season.

Agree3 Disagree0

Eds help me out on this 1, we were all over eriksen, done deal etc etc then it all dies down and spurs sign home for about a fiver?! Did we just decide he wasn't needed? Of all the missed transfers like willian, salah and kono he was the most realistic for me and represented value

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine D. I explained repeatedly about each of those at the time. People seem to be shouting "done deal" far too early.}

Coutinho does go missing doesn't he. I mean, he never scores winners in the biggest games of the season does he!

Anything new regarding Lallana? I know its been done to death but a few rumours knocking around so I thought I'd try my luck. Cheer Ed's

Believable5 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - nothing yet, though there are clubs trying to prize their manager away, so that could change things. I very much doubt it would be us in pole position though, his price might be a little out of our reach.}

Who else is interested?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd, I was also told there was French interest in him, but Ed002 might put me straight on that, as I haven't had a chance to ask her about that yet. Also, Pochettino's future is not certain yet, it is likely he would want to take the lad to any club he joins, should he move in the summer, as he rates Lallana extremely highly.}

Ed who doesn't? He is everything a team can hope for. Brilliant in attack, decent pace, stellar shot on him, tactically versatile, shows leadership qualities and helps the team out defensively.
Love this guy but I do understand that at this point even if we want to get him, we'll probably be priced out of a move for him.
Anyway thanks Ed for all the hardwork.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely he won't be sold for more than £30m which, with UCL money *touchwood* shouldn't be impossible for us? To be honest he's only been on big clubs' radars for what a year and a half and he's mid 20s so not that young.
If he were to be sold this summer I would be hugely disappointed if we weren't to get him as we should be able to offer the same as anyone else interested- in fact we might be the only Champions' League team of those you mentioned there ed1) and he would seemingly fit very well into the team and 'Liverpool family'

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Southampton don't want to sell him but are under pressure from Spurs, who are also keeping an eye on Pochettino. I am also aware of interest from Manchester United - I am not so sure of interest from Arsenal. Chelsea has had the player watched on a couple of occasions and I suspect Liverpool has also had the player watched. The French interest is in Pochettino rather than Lallana.}

Hi, question for ed001, do you see Muller moving this summer?
Great site,
Cheers

Believable6 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - probably not, doesn't seem likely right now.}

Hi, question for ed001, do you see Muller moving this summer?
Great site,
Cheers

Believable4 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - He is not around and he would only say that a move for Muller this summer is unlikely.}

Danny Ings from Burnley is supposed to be on Liverpool's radar, have you heard anything ed? and is he good enough for Liverpool?

Believable2 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Danny Ings is subject to sustained interest from Stoke City and Southampton have had a scout watch him recently. I don't know of any Liverpool interest in the player.}

Hi Ed's, what's going to happen with Ter Stegen and Halilovic, are they still Barca bound?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Both deals are expected still to go through.}

Even do barca is unable to complete any transfers the comming 2 windows?

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Of course. Again, this is something for the Barcelona or European page - it is nothing to do with Liverpool.}

Eds who's interested in Reus?

Believable2 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal showed an interest in Marco Reus before his return to Dortmund last year. Recent tentative approaches made by Chelsea and Manchester City have resulted in a "not for sale" response regardless of their being a release clause in his contract. Manchester City are likely to push again as Dortmund are still looking to Dzeko as a possible replacement for Lewandowski and will look to ease a deal through by offering favourable terms on the transfer or a contribution to his salary. Interest from Manchester United is speculative as is interest from Spain.}

'Pool interested in Carvalho eds or is he still likely to go to United?

Believable6 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - As you know, Manchester United cannot force Sporting to sell the player for his €45M release clause but Sporting have insisted that is the minimum price he would be sold for so there seems little room for negotiation. There is interest in him from a number of clubs still and there have been recent approaches by Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid. Sporting would ideally like to keep him a year or two more. The asking price will likely beyond what Arsenal would want to pay and I suspect Manchester United would also baulk at that price unless they see an impending bid from Manchester City. Atletico and Inter would look for a different solution financially. Jorge Mendes was in Manchester in late January to talk to the club about him and was in the UK last week talking to another club about two players. Whether or not he met with Manchester United or not I don't know. At best I would think they have told him that they would like to take the player and would like to sit down with Sporting and him to see if a deal can be done - but they know the price. At this time it is conjecture and I would very much doubt anything is signed - but suspect the club has agreed to pay the full amount in order to fend off a bid from Manchester City. He is very much beyond Liverpool's means.}

Was he talking to Chelsea about Falcao and Costa?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He was.}

Mornin Eds,

Is interest in Stambouli or Winston Reid real?

Thanks

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Stambouli is a player that Lyon have shown interest in and Arsenal has watched. Winston Reid is a player that West Ham has said they wish to have sign a new contract. I don't know of interest from Liverpool.}

Hey ed001/Ed02. I'm not for one moment suggesting that he would come to us or that we would be interested in him but what do you expect will happen with mandzukic in the summer with Bayern getting lewandowski? Are there any clubs in the prem looking at him with any serious intent?

Cheers guys,

Believable0 Unbelievable8

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any Prem interest in him myself, his wage demands would rule out any but the top few and he is not really at the level he will appeal to those. Bayern only play him because they are in a similar position to Chelsea, in that they lack any real top class striker option. At least until the summer. It is expected he will stay where he is as back up.}

He's a very decent striker ed, I don't think we would like playing as back up bench player and wouldn't be surprised if chelsea were to bid for him

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - decent, yes, but decent is not top class. Chelsea will buy a top class striker.}

Thanks Ed you're a star mate

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - awww thanks mate am blushing now!}

Maybe chelsea need a decent striker that works rather than world class that doesnt. I just think he would suit there style.

Anyways too much talk of chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea will likely be losing four strikers this summer and that will be the focus of the summer spending - with a left back.}

14 Apr 2014 14:08:25
Maybe you are true, but there are a lot of rumours telling that there are many top clubs interested in him, and also very strong statement from Bayern that they will not let him leave since they regard him as very important player. It is little strange to tell that Bayern plays him only cause there is no top class strikers available since he scored more than 20 last year and to this date I think 17 goals, and Bayen won BL, CL and Cup last year, and this year BL, and play CL semi finals. All this without top striker seems little hard .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - His representatives have spoken to a couple of English sides but there is no firm interest.}

If were in the market for a CB as some suggest do you know if we've looked at Toby alderweild**? Not getting much time at Athletico and I've heard he's looking to move on. Decent player
