Just read that coutinho rejected the requests of the coaches to stay at home, so he could make the bench for the game on saturday, then to come off the bench and score. This is the exact attitude and type of player we need here at liverpool, hats off to him.

Couts has to stay, build our team around him, need another Mane .

11 Apr 2017 00:53:45
What would you do with another Mane if you've built your team around Coutinho?

Agree4 Disagree9

11 Apr 2017 02:02:09
Coutinho was always needee to stay. He didn't need to do anything like that to justify it.

Hes our boy. Show him the love and he will give you the heart.

build another mane and mane running around firmino!? and then someone can get their dream of firmino in central midfield realised.! :p.

probably the best £8.5m the club has ever spent.

Agree10 Disagree0

11 Apr 2017 06:07:23
Sure the best 8.5 we ever spent was on ings, that free transfer.

11 Apr 2017 08:25:26
support coutinho zimbo, as Mane has done.

Agree3 Disagree0

11 Apr 2017 15:26:17
Don't worry I'd happily take another Mane! Just not sure if we'll get someone of his level to join with no obvious starting spot. Think hopefully Coutinho, Firmino and Mane will be our starting lineup and wouldn't want to see that changed myself.

11 Apr 2017 15:41:46
kudos couts, however if and when he is not in form let's remember this instead of wanting him out.

The problem with football these days is that the Doctors think they pick the team. Hats off to Coutinho for his positive attitude and nonsense to all that red zone, orange zone, green zone crap.

Cheers ed002 just read an article and thought I'd ask the people in the know but one thing that boy can hit a ball when he hits it it stays hit.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - If he moves to England it would be Spurs. Roma and Milan are also interested but I suspect Monaco will strike a deal.}

11 Apr 2017 03:54:06
lets hope he bags a couple on Thursday.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Apr 2017 17:02:45
The lad can definitely shoot. But is he up to the mark defensively? Read a couple of scout reports that said he lacks ability in the final third and doesn't get most of his tackles right. Surely won't fit our system then. Even though its a moo point but still, thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Apr 2017 13:51:24
Paul Joyce has said he expects sessegnon to sign in the Summer once he turns 17. Would be a great signing, he has huge potential. Already starting for Fulham.

10 Apr 2017 13:57:00
We can't sign him, we are banned.

Agree6 Disagree11

10 Apr 2017 14:08:24
Yes we can, he's being classed as a first team player not an academy player so we can sign him.

Agree13 Disagree0

10 Apr 2017 14:18:49
My bad, you are correct. He can sign a professional contract if required.

Personally I would advocate staying very quite about signing youth players for a little bit to avoid yet further damage to our reputation.

10 Apr 2017 14:32:51
Do you know if this is legit eds?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the interest - try the Sharkopod.}

10 Apr 2017 15:52:15
If this is true it must mean another year of Milner at LB, surely he's a while away from being first 11 prem ready.

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Apr 2017 16:09:03
It really doesn't, any man with a football brain would realise Milner is way out of his depth and is only a short term solution. We've been linked with several more experienced full backs, wouldn't be surprised to see 2 left backs arrive.

Agree4 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - Sessegnon is ready for the Prem and first team football.}

10 Apr 2017 17:26:48
Ed001 - u reckon that if we sign him he would be good enough to start then? Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

cheers.

10 Apr 2017 20:24:16
Why are we buying kids? What happens to Juanma?

Agree2 Disagree4

10 Apr 2017 20:52:41
Ya let's buy experienced premier league proven players who are nothing but average because that has worked wonders. i. e Lovren Clyne Mignolet Milner. If you ever watched sessegnon you would instantly realise he is an exceptionally talented full back. We missed out Alli and look what has happened.

Agree9 Disagree2

10 Apr 2017 20:56:10
Juanma is injured even tho, the coaching staff think he's the real deal.

10 Apr 2017 23:13:40
Thought I would chip in here with my two cents worth. I have a season ticket at Fulham. I've been watching young Ryan very closely this season. While I do think he has immense talent and with the right drive could be very very good, I am not quite sure he is ready for first team Oren football. He is still young and makes a lot of mistakes. That being said he has quite the left foot, can play in defence or on the wing, and is actually quite handy at set pieces!

{Ed007's Note - How's Stefan Johansen doing if you don't mind me asking mate?}

10 Apr 2017 23:33:51
Red dawn, is that you Calvin?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Apr 2017 01:01:12
I'd be happy going into next season with Milner and Sessegnon as our LB options. likewise Clyne and TAA on the right but I'd be starting TAA.

In terms of priority one this summer it should be a top CB now - replacing Klavan and to compete with Lovren IMO.

Agree2 Disagree0

11 Apr 2017 09:25:56
If he's good enough he's old enough!

Agree6 Disagree0

11 Apr 2017 12:15:43
Ed007, I have mixed feelings about Stefan Johansen. He can be brilliant and times and pops up with the goals here and there but my word can he sometimes go missing! Case and point was a few weeks back against Blackburn. Playing at home, 2-1 up, we lose the ball in the final minute up the pitch and he just stops moving, not tracking back at all leading to blackburn to score a last minute equalizer. It looked like he gave up and couldn't care

He has good energy though and when he seems up for it him and T Cairney can cause the opposition a lot of problems

(Apologies for this being non LFC related ed007 asked for it! )

Red Sandman.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He was a great player for Celtic in his first 18 months - he won the PFA POTY after his first season - but his second full season was exactly as you've described which is a shame because as you say when he is in the mood he is a terror to opposition defences.
I was disappointed when we sold him as I'd have liked to see how he would have reacted to Rodgers high pressing style but the fans had been on his back and I can understand why he wanted away from Glasgow.
Cheers for the info mate.}

Haven't posted in a long time.

Was recently in the company of some friends at Real hierarchy and one mentioned (in passing) that James agent had been speaking about his clients preference for teams in the UK (Liverpool were mentioned as one) . Whether this was angling for better negotiating position or not is debatable.

I have not spoken to anyone who spoke directly with the player so I can't tell you his thoughts on the subject but thought I would share this info.

My Real Madrid supporting cow orker has sworn blind that Bale is going back to the Premier League this summer.

He says that United is the most likely destination but there is also interest from Chelsea and Liverpool.

I've told him that he needs a long lie down.

Back me up here Eds, there's no way Bale is going to end up at Liverpool, right?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - You can tell your cow orker that Bale will not be moving to Liverpool this summer.}

10 Apr 2017 10:42:06
Thank you Ed002. Quality player but just can't see why he would be attracted to Liverpool and how we could possibly afford him.

Have a great day.

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine if you're UK based at the mo.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - It is a pleasant day here thank you.}

10 Apr 2017 11:15:37
As usual so called liverpool fans say every player is too big for lfc jokers coutinho firming better than any one in thebpremier
If l
Koop wants a player we will get him
1st signing Theo alaves/ attleti.

Agree1 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - what has it got to do with being too big? There are a number of reasons why, nothing to do with size, except size of fee and salary.}

10 Apr 2017 11:49:29
What a strange reply.

I meant it in the way that he is a Cardiff born guy who spent the whole of his youth career on the South Coast and then settled in London, a major capital city. He then moved to Madrid, a major capital city, and lived in the sun being paid £350k a week to do so playing with some of the best players in the world getting to the latter stages of the Champions League every year.

Why on earth would he want to move to the North West of England to a team that has only challenged for their domestic title once in the last 15 years, unless it's going to be for a lot more money. which we can't afford. Only United could even get close to affording what he would want.

It's not about "so called Liverpool fans" saying a player is too big, it's about understanding that this isn't Football Manager where you can just sign whoever you want.
