I posted yesterday that a friend told me Benteke was at finch farm. Turns out he was on the wind up trying to upset some blues. I only believed him as we live right by there. Judging by the disagrees you lot aren't as gullible as I am.

He's only 19 so he is probably not what you thought he was going to be.

Confirmed signing after successful week trial for the U23 team, not first teamer yet and not expected to be this season. It's a left back, just not ready this season.

Watched him play for 60 minutes in the flesh for the U21's against MK Dons. He is very fast and utilised his speed to make a handful of recovery tackles. He also has a nice touch and is neat in possession. His positioning was very weak though and he over ran the ball on a few occasions. Looks a fairly decent, attacking young left back. Whilst I doubt he will get much if any first team action, with our complete lack of depth there, who knows.

Would love him to be a dark horse and end up a first team regular a la Bellerin. Would certainly cure our left back headache.
