Ed i know that tevez is homesick and wants to go bk home, but do you fink there is a slight chance of him cumin to us? ? {ed's note - not really, class player but I can't see him joining us unless someone can explain to him just how sick it would make Gary Neville......}

I would welcome Jurgen Norbert Klopp as new manager.

Forget Villa Boas, this young guy has everything. A class coach, tactically astute and mad as a bottle of crisps. Would be a great manager of LFC

Hi ed, you seem to be in d know bout liverpool, so a question to urself, the fans and the new owners, when are the new owmers going to make a decision on the managment future before the damage is to big 4 us to return to a top 4 side, if they make a decision now i think we could possibly finsh top4 or at worst the europa, if they wait we could seriously be a mid table team wit mid table players joining us therfore taking us years to get back to top 4 side we need to act now, and i now its easier said than done but they must hav something in the works bout managment? any answers plse thanx man {ed's note - the intention was to wait for the summer, but a run of poor results will change that I have no doubt.}

Tevez hands in tranfer request
'Sheik Monsour has to decide on Tevez or Mancini'
Ed,
do you think that the way Brian Kidd was praising mancini after mancity game was to affect monsours decision? if you know what i mean.
because he was praising mancini an awful lot, which is very strange.
tevez is ament to be good friends with monsour though.

harry5:) {ed's note - isn't Tevez homesick?}

My mate seems convinced that lfc are going to sign landon donavan on loan in january with a view to a perminent move in summer if he does well. he reckons its all about shirt sales and raising lfc's profile back home. what do you think ed is he talking rubbish or is he actually more intelligent than i've always thought? {ed's note - he is more likely to go nowhere as he wants a break with there being no international tournament to need to keep his fitness up for.}

Although who would you pick to be caretaker manager? {ed's note - Roy Evans, then at least we could enjoy great football and no one would expect miracles like they would of Kenny Dalglish.}

Roy Evans is a great shout ed! Why has noone thought of this?! When you ring up in This is Anfield, tell Henry this! Your right that no one would expect a miracle, would be the perfect signing! Not like Shearer to Newcastle lol.

A question I would liked posed to NESV (John Henry, etc) is:

Commentators consistently speak about an area on the pitch between defenders and forwards that is, "almost impossible to pick up." Will NESV attempt to crack this Da Vinci Code of a problem? It would give Liverpool an advantage that no amount of cash from a billionaire could ever provide. Also, Commentators and pundits would STOP STATING THE BLOODY OBVIOUS leading to a win-win situation for both the club and the whole of football.

There is a chance Falcao will sign for us, it will not be in Jan any way. Summer looks more likely. But it is not an open and shut case. He is not the 1st choice, and will only sign if others targets are off limits. Elmander is being seriously looked at and is a viable option at the end of the season. Other strikers being looked at are Llorente, who has been priced out of the market, will not sign in Jan. Toivenin also has been scouted extensively, although not in the past while, maybe its too throw other teams of the scent, because we where very strongly interested, which attracted attention from Real and AC. It is quite possible that no strikers will be signed in Jan, although Cassano has been talked about. The board are quite worried bout him, but NESV have history of turning wayward players into successes.

A Centre Half will however be signed in Jan. Daniel Agger is leaving, Wolfsburg the most likely destination. As i said before the medical and fitness staff are worried over Carraghers ability to return from such a long lay-off. Mexes is being looked at as the quick fix. There is high hopes for Daniel Ayala so it is likely that he will used more next season when he returns from loan.

On the Mid Field front Eriksen is a very strong possibility, as i have said before (was also the 1st to announce this, but any way.) Rakitic is being scouted, possibility of getting him on a free, but Tottenham sniffing around too. Honda is looking likely at this stage, and may well be the only other signing we make in Jan along with Mexes. kk

Ed

A question I would liked posed to NESV (John Henry, etc) is -

Being an American based company, it would be obvious to assume that the Red Sox would be considered the companies prime or number one asset [American's love their Mom's (yes American spelling), Apple pies and Baseball), what as a company, will NESV do to allay Liverpool fans that their club won't simply play second "fiddle or string" to the Red Sox, especially given the fact that the Baseball season starts "before" the Football season?

On the back of their highly publicised - US $142 Million signing of Carl Crawford, can he honestly say with hand on heart that they will show the same, or even more - commitment, desire, and financial investment to Liverpool F.C that they obviously do to the Boston Red Sox?

As Devil's advocate, I would also pose the question, (with no "I'd like both" response, and again with hand on heart), which would he prefer to see - Liverpool winning the Premiership or Boston Red Sox winning the World Series?

11 Dec 2010 16:56:47
Ed,
Do you know why Liverpool are scountin gmost of the Porto games this season?
Is it because we are looking at possible transfer targets, such as Falcao or Hulk?
Or is it more likely that we are interested in the manager, Boas?
Does Boas speak English do we know? {ed's note - I don't know for sure, it is all conjecture so it could very well be Boas, who speaks excellent English apparently.}

11 Dec 2010 16:00:43
Some of the questions that people want Ed to ask John W.Henry are just silly.

It's not right to ask him about changing the management and spending big on players. Even if someone does, you will simply get the same answer that we got when Henry took over. He's not going to sit in a studio and say that we're going to spend £150m on players, and that the manager will be sacked soon. And there are other questions that just simply won't be asked and if asked will make our fans look so immature.

The furthest I would go in regards to questions about transfers is for Mr.Henry to clarify the transfer policy. Because I think many fans are still confused, and have misinterpreted (sp) what he said about signing younger players etc.

Another question - surely now with the World cups being hosted in Russia and Qatar - we should try to extend teh LFC brand in these markets. Are we seeking to sign any talent from these regions? Now or the near future? ?

()()

11 Dec 2010 15:47:53
Here is what I would ask:

You talk about signing young hungry talented players, you talk about competing with the giants of world football. Just taking a look at our recent history we have always lacked 4 match winners in the world class category. If you compare us to Madrid Barca Milan, Munich's of this world we cannot continue to rely on Torres and Gerrard as our two main offensive stars. Will this void be filled soon? WE HAVE A TEAM OF HARDWORKING TALENT but surely we need to sign players who win games. Stars of the future is one thing but if we don't add class to Torres and Gerrard - it is likey we will not reach CL and run the risk of these two failing to acheive their career ambitions thus risk losing them! Does this mean we will are willing to sacrifice the immediate future and wait 2 year before the new talent along with Suso Pacheco, Shelvey and Kelly come through?

Luke.

Hi ed questions for JWH:
Will there be a change in management before the 2011/ 12 season?
If so who are the likely candidates for the role?
Will you have a specific wage/ transfer limit?
Where do you see Liverpool.F.C in 5 years time?
Are you (NESV) here for a long time or is this just a quick fix?
Will you please break the bank to aquire the services of Hazard and Mata?
Finally, will you please not allow hodgson to buy C.Cole and SWP?

Mario Goetze will emerge as a target in some tabloid tomorrow:

not saying we will sign him but asellale rumour:

a reason for this is that he is 18 and that NESV has said they want top young talent.
Another reason is because man city have been linked with him
He has an 8-million buy out clause
and he is a wide man

because of these reasons a tabloid will link him with us

Never seen him in the Russian league because it's never on British television. But watched him last season in the CL and seen him at the World Cup. His performances against Inter Milan last season were of particular note to me. I never thought Liverpool would move for him, but I'm pleased that we are supposedly interested.

He's the first supposed target of ours that has impressed and been noticed across the continent, unlike previous targets/ signings.

11 Dec 2010 10:55:51
- "Are we likely to be bringing in any new players in January." - Big names doubtful. The main mission this season is to stabilise the club and find a longterm manager who will develop the squad the way he wants, therefore it will be counter-productive and a waste of money to start that re-building until then.

- "After the previous owners, have you found it hard to be accepted by some Liverpool fans." After those clowns the Liverpool fans would have accepted virually anyone just to be shot of them.

- "Do you believe you can mirror the success that you have had at the Boston Red Sox." Why do you think they bought the club? They bought it to make money. Success makes more money and once they are on a sure-footing they will persue success with a clinical vengeance.

- "Where do you see Liverpool FC in 3 years." As a 'top-two' club with Man Utd contesting for every trophy every season.

- "Can I have a job please?" Currently there is a vacancy as translator for Sammy Lee & Roy Hodgson as they are proving unintelligable in front of the cameras and the owners cannot find anyone who can understand and translate total bo! ox fluently.

Questions I would like to be answered:

- Are we likely to be bringing in any new players in January.
- After the previous owners, have you found it hard to be accepted by some Liverpool fans.
- Do you believe you can mirror the success that you have had at the Boston Red Sox.
- Where do you see Liverpool FC in 3 years.
- Can I have a job please?

ha thanks.

Hi Ed, just some suggestions recognising that they will not reveal sensitive info about money available or potential buys :-

1. When will a decision on the stadium be made?
2. How will any stadium enhancements or the building of a new stadium be funded?
3. What are the generic plans to ensure that when Point 2 is progressed, this does not have a negative effect on the clubs ability to compete on the pitch?
4. What aspects of the squad do you believe need immediate attention?
5. There seem to be exciting talent emerging from the youth and reserves and press speculation is continuous in terms of building up their hype and applying pressure to the youngsters. How can LFC manage their expectations so that they do not get disenchanted at the club if first team opportunities do not come around as quickly as they might perhaps want and on the flip side, how can LFC ensure that they are given the opportunity at the highest possible level as quickly as possible so that they can prove themselves?

{ed's note - I am going to try, definitely, might be difficult to get through though. Actually while I am thinking anyone got an idea for some questions to ask?}

being owners of Boston red sox, there are 1 biggest wage payers in baseball, and pay the money to get there man that's best in business, are you bringing exact same ways to run Liverpool FC, ie bring in the best footballers that demand big wagers to bring them to club, i can't say this has came from, nesv's comments for sure as iv not heard them say it but has been quoted as saying that they were shocked at wage bill at anfield if they were shocked what is difference between Liverpool and red sox. you can't be seen to be paying good wagers in 1 sport, but complaining about wagers in another, would that not be favouritism to the sport closest to your hearts, IF THESE QUOTES ARE CORRECT THIS. {ed's note - the difference would be down to income, the Red Sox make enough money to sustain the wages they pay, we don't.}

Hi ed .
Based on what JWH and other Red Sox big wigs have always claimed. That the pay roll in the boston team has increased drastically after JWH took over.
I would say.
JWH will be doing the same here. He would go all out for the best of players who are going to become free agents in the summer by offering more salary to them and match their expectations and beat the other teams.
which is why he wouldn't spend much in january. Probably a striker and a centre half is what we ll get. And striker wouldn't be carlton cole. Am being assured of that.
In the summer he ll look to bring the likes of mexes, or taiwo and other good free agents. . May be even pienaar if its true that he want to play for us.
What say ed? And . Can you tell me any other good players whose contracts run out in may?

Breathtaking Phoenix
Red for life! {ed's note - there is a huge list of players on expiring contracts mate, I really couldn't even begin to go through it.}

Ed, some questions for John Henry

1) Why isn't Linda at every game.
2) What direction are you leaning regarding the stadium
3) Will you aggressively get a striking partner for Fernando?
3B) Why wouldn't it be Llorente
4) Would you be open to cashing in on Agger, Aqualani, Dirk and Maxi to be sure of funding the Honda, LLorente and Sanchez transfers
5) Will you force roy to play a combo of Aurelio and Mavinga at LB
6) Will you get a personal nutritionist for the boy Suso.
7) will you promise to tie Suso to a 7 year deal by end of summer 2011
8) How did you manage to pull a bird like Linda
9) What other revenue plans do you have for LFC
10) Will you deliver number 19 before Stevie and Carra retire.

{ed's note - I am going to try, definitely, might be difficult to get through though. Actually while I am thinking anyone got an idea for some questions to ask?}

I'd like to know if he's considering building a new groundshared stadium with Everton? Something like the Allianz Arena in Munich where each clubs identity can be stamped on it depending on who's playing in Stanley Park at the time.

(I'm not from the city so I have no idea how people in the city would react to this. But, as an outsider looking in, groundshare is the most realistical option as a new stadium is desperately needed and the club cannot and should not be driven into masses of debt again.) {ed's note - I would hate it myself. But most of all it wouldn't work for a number of reasons. Everton can't afford it for one. For two the gain in income would be less than building your own, the extra cost of making it changeable from blue to red added to the loss of income from naming rights etc. Plus you then have to split any income from non-football events too. The only reason it works for the Allianz Arena is because one team is basically little more than a tenant. I know people will say it works in Italy, but if it works so well why do both Inter and AC Milan spend so much time investigating the possibility of building their own stadium? Both sets of fans hate sharing one.}

Loving the website ed/ eds and really appreciate your honesty with the info you have.

As much as admire the eds input. .'Can't see it', 'Don't think we're interested' etc.

I'd like to know who you think we will sign in January ed? {ed's note - I really don't expect much to happen at all, I think NESV will wait for the summer when Comolli has had the chance to evaluate the set up fully. But I do expect a couple of ins, Honda does seem likely and Erikssen from Ajax, probably someone from a Spanish team as well, they are all on the verge of collapse.}

Cheers fella, f* k me it's been a hard start to the season and I know the beloved media insist that we need a major overhaul but with a couple of quality (first eleven) players in January, I really don't think we're far off. {ed's note - exactly, I only expect Honda plus someone from Spain for the first team and Erikssen for the future. I don't see the need for any more, it causes disruption and the team is just beginning to gel.}

My question would be:
- Where does John Henry see Liverpool in five years?

It's probably not as good a question a I think it is, but it's late.
