Could I ask you eds, what Liverpool player do you expect to leave during the january window?

Believable9 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - Possibly Lucas.}

11 Dec 2014 21:36:58
If Lucas is allowed to leave then BR needs to follow. Lucas is reliable and loves the club, which is more than you can say for most of the others.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Lucas has said he wants to move to Italy. It is hard to understand how naive a lot of the fans are.}

Eds do you see Borini moving on in January?

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Probably not, the kid wants his chance at Liverpool if he can get it.}

Have we looked at possible replacements for him?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Can.}

If borini doesn't leave then he should be sent to train with the youth team. If he can't get in this liverpool forward line, he never will.

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - So even the players who want the chance to do well at Liverpool are to be trashed by the so called supporters. It doesn't surprise me.}

I'd like to have a chance at LFC too but I'm not good enough either.

The lads had chances, he can't even make the bench with 1 fit striker (take the hint).

Hunt, Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez.

Dundee, Meijer, Vorinin, Borini.

Agree3 Disagree2

Sick to death of this Borini BS, the lad actually wants to play, BR is a person for excluding him from the recent squads.

Agree5 Disagree0

Sam5, you do realize that BR has his favorite players right? BR plays his favorites (the ones he trusts) week in week out, when it's plain to see that there are better options. Borini is not getting a chance because of that. He wants a chance, as do a lot of the players at the Club, they are not going to get them with BR at the helm.

Sam

Sorry mate, But borini not getting chances is down to the relationship with him and BR.
But this is not the first time we hear a manger falling out with a player.
Regarding Lucas exit, won't surprise me a bit as he was never in BR plans. That would defo see us conceding more goals than ever through middle, johnson and Enrique.
Happy times ahead.

Lucas is always a soft target for any potential rumours. He said he would fancy a move out for a lack of game time and that was before he was given week in week out first team position. He has played a major role in the team's mini revival in the last three/four matches and if he keeps playing on a regular basis I do not think he will be very keen to make a move in January. there is also no doubt that Lucas is amongst the few players who have developed a strong affinity with the club, city and fans. Thanks Ed002 for your opinion, and I choose to disagree with that.

Agree0 Disagree1

Lol. Why is BR playing him for atm? He's lost it.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to Lucas the only real reason he wants to move to Italy is because he's been Brendaned, the appalling treatment he has had is just bizarre, best defensive midfielder at the club and he's left in the stiffs kicking his heals while BR experiments with Gerrard (which anyone with half an ounce of football nous would realise was always doomed to failure) or plays his golden child Allen, neither of which have anywhere near the quality in that position than Lucas.

As for Borini, whereas I don't think he is anywhere near good enough as a regular first team player, as a squad player he is s good option and bearing in mind the lack of striking options, he has been criminally ignored.

If you had to ask me who should be going, it wouldn't be these two, however if the question was Brendan first then Allen, Johnson, Mignolet, Jones and Balotelli, then yes, I'd agree that and as much a legend that Gerrard is, he isn't the player he was, so maybe he should be allowed to leave on a free.

Hello Ed002, who else is interested in Neto?

{Ed002's Note - Fiorentina want a new deal.}

Thanks man.

Ok, so we are 2 weeks to Christmas! Hard to believe i know but i want you all to spare a thought for other people maybe outside your family circle this Christmas.

Over here in Northern Ireland a local radio station (Cool fm) run a mission Christmas every year. Last year they had requests for 5000 gifts for kids of all ages and sex that would have had nothing to open on Christmas Day. An awful thought for any kid i'm sure you agree. This year they have requests for close to 7000 gifts. It tells me how many families are struggling these days and need a little bit of human kindness.

On doing a bit of research i can tell you that loads of other local radio stations run similar projects all over the UK. The Salvation Army also run a Christmas appeal.

So when you venture out to the town for a bit of seasonal cheer maybe you can spare a thought for those not so fortunate as ourselves. Boots do great 3 for 2 offers for older kids, Smyths toys also! That extra £20/30 will make a huge difference to some youngster this year. Please if you can, do your bit.

Thanks for reading.

{Ed001's Note - I will put this on all 3 main pages so it can be seen, great idea mate.}

Who in gods name disagreed With this post ffs get a grip

Agree1 Disagree1

It's a great initiative and we have the same in Blackpool where the cash for kids charity runs mission christmas. We along with lots of local businesses act as drop of points for your extra gifts which are then delivered to main centres such as sainsburys in our area. All details on drop of points can be found on your local radio station.

All help is massively appreciated.

Cheers

I normally disagree with most things you say on here Rover but spot on with this one.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi it's Bauer media/cash4Kids in the UK. I spent some time with them last week sorting gifts to be sent to underprivileged children. Still time to donate
A premier league footballer turned up while we were there spending possibly 10 minutes doing f@@k all other than getting as much publicity as he could.

Hi Eds, i see some unreliable sources are reporting that Raheem Sterling has rejected a new contract offer of 70k per week. Have you any info on this? Thx.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - it is too early to say rejected mate, they are still in negotiations.}

If he's got any sense he'll scarper to Madrid or Barcelona. We are goosed now for at least another 2-3 seasons and to a young and very gifted player that is a long time.

Agree0 Disagree1

No he shouldn't move to marid or barca this early ! if he wants to develop his game he should remain at Liverpool . doesn't matter in what transition we are he can only get that recognition, care and game time being with liverpool . also if he moves for money that would be disaster for his career. I fear another rodwell, jeffren type situation !!

Agree1 Disagree0

If he has any sense there is no way he'll go to either of those two teams, as both have a wealth of players in his position who are as good or better

Agree2 Disagree0

2-3 seasons!? What a horribly negative outlook you have.

Agree0 Disagree1

I guess it somewhat proves your point Collins but who is Jeffren?

Agree0 Disagree0

RedKev - It isn't a horribly negative outlook, it's reality. FSG are not going to continue to pour money into transfers at the rate they have been - they aren't getting any return on their investment and FFP will limit it anyway. In addition Rodgers is now a dead man walking - his replacement will be brought in on the understanding that more cuts to the wage bill are needed, the squad needs reducing, older players need moving on and the transfer budget will be limited. Now put yourself in a young and gifted players shoes/ What would you do? There are only two choices - milk the club for everything you can (to make up for the lack of success) or move on.

Agree1 Disagree0

If he stays with us any longer hell have forgotten how to pass. Real good dribbler though I bet

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt anyone would agree, but I don't think he should be offered any more then that! He is a talented player but realistically has had 1 good season. He may turn out to be a great player but think he has 15 goals in all competition for us, 10 of which occurred last season and has 1 this season. If he wants to leave because he thinks he will develop better elsewhere be gutted but ok with that, if it is down to money then i'm happy for him to go if we get a good fee for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

I have to agree with Roland-inho. He's got potential, and had a great season last year. Sadly for him, he hasn't been able to replicate the same form as last season. Personally, I think he's being utilised wrong and is need of a good break. He's a great player I wouldn't want to lose though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if we get a good offer for him we should take it. He is overrated and this year his flaws show through badly. He can dribble, but he can't pass and can't shoot.
Thy kept saying on earlier that he is Liverpool's best player which is simply not true. Coutinho is probably our best player, or Sturridge. I would choose Lallana over Sterling any day of the week. I also think that Markovic (apart from being sent off) played awesome in the short time he was on against Basel, and if that is how he intends to continue then he is going to come good too.
Sell Sterling and get a top striker. We need that more.

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm sorry, but do you even watch liverpool play? sterling's loss of form this year is down to the fact that the tactics have changed and too much responsibility is placed upon him to produce something out of nothing, when he is supposed to be an integral PART of an offense and not carry an offense all by himself. and still every game he wins loads of set pieces that we waste, runs at defenders every chance he gets, is always looking to create, etcetera. he has shown us all that he is a player with tremendous heart as well as ability, on a better team he would be skinning defenses alive and they'd be running scared every time he got on the ball.
