Well eds was just wondering what is happening with Courtois next season. I can't see Chelsea selling as you have pointed out regarding Barcelona's bid and can't see him replacing Cech as first choice nor can I see him sitting on the bench. So is he going on loan somewhere other then Madrid or to another team. Thanks for your reply and info.

Like romelu lukaku, courtios is a long term investment for the future, a cleaver transfer, similar to what we are trying to achieve with coutinho, sturridge etc.

Is there any interest in Omar Abdulrahman, looks really talented and would add depth to our attacking options. I'm aware of interest from city, but I don't know if Liverpool are in the equation? {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

Ed don't want to put you on the spot. But what goal keeper would be a realistic target for Liverpool if pepe goes which I hope he doesn't. i'd like Sunderlands keeper very good season he's had. MATTYLFC {Ed002's Note - Read the posts please Matty. You might find something you like.}

Yea found it ed02 so is he are 1st choice. I seen or read something he wants to move to a bigger club. And it would mean he can challenge the keeper chelsea have loaned to athletico for Belgium no1 spot. MATTYLFC {Ed002's Note - I can only say tehre has been interest.}

I keep seeing people ask about goal keepers and you Ed's stating that arsenal is looking for one. Isn't Sceszny (sorry for spelling) a decent goalie already? Or are they looking to sell him in order to get another one because if so why don't we inquire about him he's a solid keeper. Thanks.

Szczęsny has been awful this season

Theres a few players I would take from Arsenal but Sceszny isn't one of them terrible keeper accident waiting to happen best left alone

Mate their is a reason why arsenal are looking for keeper, Sceszny is young and have potential but was push to quickly in a position where you make a mistake and its a goal.

Ed2 mate do you think will bring keeper even if reina stays, let's be honest their will be very few teams who would want him {Ed002's Note - Liverpool looked for an additional (sort of third string) goalkeeper a year ago and it is possible they will do if Jones or Gulacsi were to leave. Right now interest is in a replacement for Reina.}

Ed you said you expect all kinds of transfer record to be broke in an early post, do you expect suarez to be one. Also which other big transfer do you think will happen? Any idea of any transfer that may break the transfer fee record? {Ed002's Note - Actually you need to go back and read again what I wrote. I expect total spending to be higher than ever before. I have explained that there is interest from several clubs in Suarez and his performances have been such where you can certainly expect offers to be made.}

Hi Eds,

Great job as always on this site. I appreciate it must be difficult this time of year with scouting ongoing and definitive targets very limited. Thus mainly speculation opposed to gossip most of us love hearing.

My question concerns are goalkeeping situation. I have gone back through a couple of days worth of posts so apologies if this has been previously exhausted in previous replies. But have we shown any interest in Begovic as well as Mignolet? I rate both keepers very highly and would be hopeful one could be landed given their impressive performances this season. With De Gea now performing I can only see Arsenal as the other Top PL club looking for a possible replacement goalkeeper to rival us.

Also, would you expect Martin Skrtel to remain at Anfield come August time. I know cery little of his recent absence from the first 11 and just wondered if its of the general opinion his Anfield days could be numbered.

LP87 {Ed002's Note - My understanding is that Liverpool considered Begovic and it was decided drop interest due to his price. There are plenty of clubs looking for a goalkeeper and several high profile moves will be made this summer. Right now Begovic looks a possibility for Manchester United and Valdes for Arsenal. I think Skrtel will leave this summer.}

Our objectives for the summer should be sorting the defense, two CB's IMO as carra is retiring and skrtl looks on his way out.
Reina is a confusion that needs ironed out. He says publicly we can't compete, has had poor performances early in the season, recently has become Outstanding' and says he is happy here? i'm scratching my head but if he goes so be it with a top class replacement and I am hoping NEUR. Bayern are looking at Valdes and NEUR is a young, monster outstanding keeper that will be nobodys no2' not to also mention the fans still show discontent towards him because of his shalke background. We will see
Lastly, I would like us to heavily involve suso in preseason and see if he can become the wonderful creative player he is, whether its next year or the. following he will be incredible'
Edd002, quick question mate, what's your info on NEUR, if he were to leave bayern, where do you think he would go?

A quick question.
If Reina does stay after the summer, do you think that we will still look for another back up as every time Brad 'Rubber Wrists' Jones has to deputise for him our defence look as though they have no confidence in him. He struggles to catch the ball, flaps at shots and crosses and his distribution is comical. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool are looking at goalkeepers who would be first choice, not a back-up.}

If Reina leaves then replace him with either Ter Stegan or Kevin Trapp and promote Danny Ward as No. 2 {Ed002's Note - Sadly it is not as simple as that.}

if your going to run a player down why don't you sign your name to the post. this lad has went through a lot in his life and imo does well when called upon ok maybe he is anumber 2 but to call him rubber hands you show no respect. the man who never made a mistake has not been made yet.

Finally let the GK search get to me, wondering if any of these players are likely to be in the market this summer-
Ruffier, Patricio, Guaita & Baumann

Yes they're names out of a hat so to speak but they all (to me) appear realistic targets in terms of cost, age etc.

ForzaRed {Ed002's Note - As you say, you have just thrown up four random names of players who Liverpool has shown no interest in. Of these only Ruffier seems to be attracting interest. Arsenal and Fiorentina have shown some interest and Sunderland had a representative watch him at Rennes on Fiday.}

I understand that a number of clubs including PSG are looking at somewhat of a clear out this summer, with impressive but not star players like Gamiero and Sakho potentially going. Is there any truth in this and if there is, are Liverpool interested in any of them? And would their wages be unrealistic for Liverpool, given that many of these players were around pre-oil money era. My picks would be Sakho and (if Reina leaves) their goalkeeper, especially if they take Valdes. Any information (even a 'dont be silly') would be appreciated

{Ed002's Note - As I have previously explained, I expect that this summer will see transfer records broken with record spending world wide. Clubs are already clear with many of their targets and agents and clubs are already planning as much as they can. Certainly I expect both Gameiro and Sakho to move on this summer.

There has been long term interest in Kevin Gameiro from Lille and Dortmund although Dortmund may have their attentions elsewhere now. Everton and Kuban Krasnodar have also shown interest in the player but Everton could only likely fund a loan. A move away from PSG in the summer seems very likely given that he wants out of the club and PSG do not see him as good enough for them and want him gone.

Arsenal and Lyon have sustained interest in Sakho and there is growing interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan, Manchester City and possible interest lingering interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. PSG are not keen on selling but I think there is a good chance of a summer move as we move toward some significant changes at a number of clubs.}

Isn't Sakho a left footed centre back? Maybe a good replacement for Agger but surely not Skrtel or Carragher.

Would players such as Goetze, Hummels, ter Stegen, Ronaldo, Falcao, Cavani, Hamsik etc all be part of this mass spending spree in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Some, yes.}

Dont believe the rubbish about not being able to play two left or two right footed CB's together - Ferdinand and Vidic are both right footed and (injuries aside) they did pretty well as a CB pairing

Hey eds, I read a few days ago that Daniel Carr would play for the U21's tonight, but I've just read that his trial ended on Friday? Can you confirm either of these and if his trial has ended, do you know how it went at all? Cheers {Ed002's Note - I can confirm his two day trial ended last week (Thursday I think). I don't know how it went.}

Supposedly starting for u21s in an hour {Ed002's Note - He played for his club on Saturday.}

Liverpool have just announced he is in the starting lineup.

To confirm, he does start for the u21's. Suso, Sterling & Shelvey also start.

He's playing upfront right now against west ham u21. watching it on lfc tv.

He looks a good player. Sterling just scored a cracker aswell.

2 day trial doesn't give you much time to prove yourself, especially for a young lad that might be nervous don't you think?
