Hello Ed002, are you aware of any LFC interest in Jaime Baez? A quick research the player tells me he has never represented Uruguay at any levels nationally and will no doubt be difficult to obtain a work permit.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Jaime Baez has an offer on the table from Ajax and he is a player that Livepool first showed an interest in during 2012 - when there were several South American youngsters being tracked by the club. A work permit would be an issue.}

"Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik is attracting Premier League interest.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal all watched Milik when he was at Gornik Zabrze, keen to find the next Robert Lewandowski.

The 20-year-old is on loan from Bayer Leverkusen but is outstripping the statistics of Luis Suarez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the same age at Ajax.

The Poland striker has scored 17 goals in 16 games compared with eight over 16 games for Suarez at the age of 20 and six for Ibrahimovic at the same stage. His assists are also up with seven next to six for Suarez after 16 games and two for Ibrahimovic. He averages a goal every 41 minutes."

Any hint of interest? Never heard of the lad myself, but anyone at Ajax getting compared to Suarez and Ibrahimovic must be doing something right.

Ajax will be buying Arkadiusz Milik next summer. There was previous interest from Celtic, Norwich, Hannover, Borussia Dortmund, VVV Venlo, Everton, Juventus and Udinese. However, Bayer Leverkusen took the player even though Inter and Torino made a late bid to buy 50% of the player's rights each. For now, Real Sociedad and Augsburg have made it known that if Ajax do not buy the player, then they would be interested.}

I can't imagine any player being liked to both Suarez and Ibrahimovic - they are so different as players.

Agree0 Disagree2

From the article he is not being likened to them as a player, but his stats are being compared to theirs. Regardless of the different styles, you cannot argue that both Suarez and Ibrahimovic score a helluva lot of goals, and this kid seems to have better scoring stats than either of them at the same age.

That's all the article seems to be saying.

He is a very good player indeed. I have been watching him for a long time as he is my country man. Certainly more prolific then Lewandowski. He scores a lot for our national team, too and l am dreaming of him playing for Liverpool.
Since Poland reverted to playing two up front with Lewandowski and Milik we started to win matches and even beat Germany 2-0. He is fast, skilful, scores all types of goals and he is only 20 for havens sake!
