Just watching Dortmund and gotze subotic and hummels are serious but they seem to be heading to bayern Chelsea and inter. So what about kagawa looks has vision and flair I think would be a great addition. Chances eds? Lemons {Ed002's Note - Chances are slim for any transfers in January. As far as I can tell the spending is done, but perhaps if someone else were to leave. I also very much doubt Kagawa will be moving to Liverpool in January.}

Hey ed r u implying there wil be no signings in january if no one leaves? I was hoping for a rw like adam johnson or even hazard. Our squad is still not complete. N i wud sign another cm coz adam is not good enough. very sloppy n slow.
Indian Buzzer {Ed002's Note - I don't think there are any planned major signings for January - and certainly not the likes of Eden Hazard. I would expect that if someone leaves that money may be made available for a replacement, and if a clear weakness is identified or serious injury sustained then perhaps something could be done. Otherwise, perhaps some of the talented youngsters could step up. You will also note that this position is supported by Comolli.}

Dortmund have got a sh*t load of young talent as well as a quality manager, and i believe im right in saying the club has done a good job of tying most of them to long term contracts. the noteable exception being Sahin who already left for madrid.

Hi Edds! If Carrol doesn't start living up to his potiential who do you think liverpool will sign and do you think we would get much money by selling Carrol on?
Also Xabi Alonso has stated in the pasted he would like to return on day, anyone know when his contract runs out at Real? becuase i doubt we will pay money for him now he's in 30s, him coming on a free is the most realistic option for his return

Thanks Harry {Ed002's Note - I suspect CArroll will not be going anywhere for a while.}

I dont understand why people are jumping on his back so quickly? I wasnt that happy when we spent the money on him, but I think he has done ok. Once he gets a goal there will be no stopping him. Lets just concentrate on giving him the support that the rest of the team get!

Emos1892

If fans like Harry had there way no one would get a chance or would be able to make any mistakes. Carroll has done nothing wrong and people are just following others and just slagging him off.
And please stop all this Alonso and Torres rubbish.
EST.1892

We're jumping on his back because we cant see him giving his all for the club...
Us liverpool fans enjoy watching players like spearing, gerrard, kuyt etc.. becuase they work hard... Carrol isn't working hard enough for my liking

Give him and Hendo a break its like fookin Lucas all over again! Give em a chance at least they been together for a month of games-

Im sure if Carroll is not working has hard has as required then Dalglish and the rest of coaching staff would be having a word.
EST.1892

As much as we all love our captain, and he is Mr. Liverpool behind Carra imo, he doesn't work as hard as he used to. It might be age, but he's done a lot more standing around than he used to. (Going off of last season and the one before versus a few years ago).

That said, love every single one of our players and they always have my support.

McSnuggles

I hate fans like this. There is no genuine reason to slag Carroll off. He came with an injury and took a while to shake it off, but he's worked hard and i'm sure he'll come good. He just needs to get to full match fitness and he'll be flying. I've seen this lad at Newcastle and he gives his all every game and i was glad we signed him. Dont expect him to be all over the pitch like Suarez, he's not that type of player, but do expect him to be banging the goals in very soon, because he will. SUPPORT THE LADS, not snipe at them!

Marshy

For all those whinging about Carrolls lack of effort, EA player stat Index shows that Carroll racks up 108m per minute of each match. Suarez racks up 109.6m. Hardly a world of difference. Get off his back! Supporting the club also means supporting our players. Hazza

Agree more patience with carrol.however,any resale value has to be considered,if performances dont pick up considerably,by january window

Consider a resale in Jan? He's 22 and 1 year half of which he's been unfit is hardly a fair go. You must be pretty silly to think kk will get rid of him in Jan. The guy will be a monster for us. Keep him, get behind him.

Ild disagree ed.carrol woeful.could go in jan i reskon.unless vast! improvement {Ed002's Note - So where will he be going and who will be replacing him.}

I think our staff will do everything they can to get Carroll up to speed by end of season.
If that doesn't work, he will be sold.
I understand Mr. Henry made his money as a commodity trader? Well the first rule of trading is to cut your losses, if a trade doesn't work out.

Just remember. He still isn't 100% fit, he's still learning to adjust his game style to match Liverpool's 'pass & move' philosophy, he is under enormous psycological pressure because of the price tag and finally Ian Rush was absolutely woeful when he first arrived and he was under no pressure at all.

Hendo gets an unfair rap although i have to say i don't think he is suited to the right midfield position.

Carroll looks lethargic, lazy, makes the most obvious runs and contributes next to nothing for the team. On top of that he looks like he couldn't care less - as paying fans we have the right to air our criticisms, especially when something as fundamental as passion and work ethic are so clearly lacking.

The blinkers on on for anybody who thinks Carroll has done ok - he should be given time and he will be, but the lad needs to buck his ideas up - at the moment he has simply not been good enough.

Liverpool will look to add Marko Marin in January for £20mil. He rejected us early on in this summer window, because he wanted to see the club's ambition first.

Reasons for his purchase:
1) Genuine Flair + creativity (LFC feel Suarez will tire towards the end of the season)

2) No bad injury record..always playing 35+ games/season

3) Surprisingly good crossing statistics and along with good passing vision

4) Versatility

5) With Meireles gone, Henderson will play a more central role than was initially intended so he will give us further options out wide.

AZ

Marin is the new Aguero in the rumours world now is he? We had a passing interest in him 2-3 years ago. Several other clubs have also had passing interest in him. This emanates from a groundless story in the Independent.

He had a good assist ratio last year

It wasn't just 2-3 years ago. we went in for him this summer. He rejected us to stay with Bremen as he wasnt convinced about our Champions League credentialss. If we are thereabouts at Christmas, he would be a good, realistic signing {Ed002's Note - I really would not hold your breath about Marko Marin moving to Liverpool mid-season.}

I would love it if marko marin signed cos he will be great but he is left sided

AZ=Damian Comoli?..hi there....

Lad is excellent! totally agree

He's right footed

AZ

"It wasn't just 2-3 years ago. we went in for him this summer. " That was a story carried by the Independent. It was actually his agent trying to drum interest up. There is no currentfirm interest in Marin from Liverpool. As an earlier poster has stated, there was passing interest a couple of years ago.

Can anyone spread some truth in the Torres back to Liverpool rumour?
I wouldn't say no! this is football and to win you need the best and lets face it if we could get him back for half the price he left us for then he would be a better partner for suarez than Carrol
Also Carrol could learn alot from the two of them

Eds do you agree?

Harry {Ed002's Note - It is not going to happen.If he leaves Chelsea I very much doubt that he will return to Liverpool.}

He'd be worth a punt on a 'free' as cover. Other than that - he made his own bed, let him lie in it and fester.

I'd take him for 15m and a considerable pay cut

Would be interesting, but unlikely after the way he left, let him fester i'd say

Once a blue always a blue. Let him rotttttttttttt the rat. Jumped ship far to early and must be wondering why now

He'll go back to Spain. Possibly to the very wealthy Malaga, espcially if they qualify for the Champions League next year.

The guy gave his best when with us, seems to have lost his way. I for one would not welcome him back after the comments he made about LFC. And IF the comments he has made about his team mates at Chelsea are true, would see him as a trouble maker that would just unbalance the team. Let him go abroad and ply his trade. I think the EPL will be well shot of him.
vrcomp

Torres should sack his advisors. They were the ones who turned his head. I think he was faily happy at Liverpool until summer 2009.

Gillette and Hicks pissed off everyone selling all our best players to pay for their bank loan etc. This all snowballed to even Benitez who performed a miracle tactically beating every top team in Europe, came 2nd in PL and win the Champions League, leaving as well.

Torres left Liverpool after Gillette and Hicks broke promise after promise to him, where Chelsea offered him a way out so he could get back into the Spanish National Team.

I am a huge Torres Fan and know if he came back to Anfield he would be playing in a far better team than he left, curing the bug inside us all, of him playing alongside Suarez.
At the end of the day Torres actions got us 50m which paid for Suarez and Carroll, where if he came back he will get more joy playing with Suarez than anyone at CFC.

It can happen but only if we get him on a cheap transfer back from Chelsea, and as Torres owes us big time, his wages are based around when he actually plays, with a personal upside of achievement bonus.

Just a question, how does everyone think the dressing room would react? And also we are starting to play with some width now.Would that suit his game? Not sure i would want him back! Even though at one point he was the best foward in the world.....It wont happen anyway...But still would make a good debate.

Carra said on LFC.TV Torres transfer to Chelsea was in Liverpool top 5 transfer (the other 4 coming her) along with Aggers elbow don think there's much love form him in dressing room

It just goes to show the grass isn't always greener!

I don't want him back wearing the red shirt. He moved on when the times were tough and now he isn't fitting in at Chelsea as some of their players don't like him. A typical foreign mercenary if ever there was one.

Wont happen, more chance of owen back.
no thanks anyway. chelsea bigger club he said in so many words. true fans wont even consider it.judas.

Torres heart is definitely with the Liverpool people and would have stayed if Gillette and Hicks didn't string him along. He was playing amazing in a red shirt and also for Spain with the winning goal to land the Euro 2008 trophy, so can you imagine how he felt when our best players are being sold around him, forcing him to play harder than before, resulting in unnecessary injuries and losing his place in the Spanish first team.
Through sadness of not doing the thing he craves most to score goals for club and country, is the only reason he has gone to another club.
I do believe Torres knows now the huge difference between the genuine warmth of the football purity of LFC and the complete mercenary mentality of where he is now, and would happily come back.
Chelsea's knee-jerk quick fix operation will oust Torres, where pairing him up with Suarez is his only ticket to get back in the National Team, and because of that i for one would welcome him back in a red shirt.
Even now i am sick to see him not in a red shirt, with double pain of the potential of what could have been had he been playing alongside Suarez.
If he becomes available in January, then lets just welcome him back, because at the end of the day we got 50m for his silly mistake, so it all works out great overall for our club.
Torres & Suarez can be a lethal pairing in the way LFC play.

Poss ian rush,and bellamy came back

Hi Ed...First Fantastic work...I saw the match with stoke...felt really disspointed...KK was arguing for the penalty..but suerly we should have scored with out even the penalty..
henderson was a crap..missed a sitter..did not provided much..and could saw suarez being frustuated....Ed what you think..did we did a mistake in selling Meireles and Aqua?? I mean..if u need players u should pay them..you cant complain if they demand...there is no point in reminding people Club is bigger than everyone...yes i admit..if suarez demands a wage rize next season...what will KK do..sell him???
i mean..meireles would have been awesome with suarez....we really missed him...

Ed..whats your realistic targets for Jan..we need a winger and Midfileder for sure..
also are we trying to protect ourself in defending Carrol for his form...if so..we dont have any right to criticize torres..

Need your honest opinion..ed {Ed002's Note - It is too early to know what will be required in January and to know what if any money will be available.}

Let him preech lol

Henderson did OK.

Started watching the match 7 mins in so didn't see the line up, it took a good half an hour to workout Henderson was playing

Henderson is young give him time he will shine

did u forget how good he was against bolton

interbational brake may have lessened hi s form abit and adam was also not good against stoke 2 many miss pass but i know adam can be the xabi link

Didn't Suarez also miss a sitter? (Or 2....)

Tristan

Hendersons chance wasn't even the easiest chance to finish, there was no angle, the keeper hadn't gone down yet and he had two players closing him down. It was a great run in the first place to get the opportunity, a run which many players weve had in the past few years wouldn't have made, so give him a break he's done top quality since he came here.

Henderson doesn't hide unlike one or two others. Play him in his correct position, rather than any where else and we've got a fantastic player.

The referee didn't help much but we should be playing to our strengths and not relying on penalties to win games like other clubs do...

Chin up and let's hope the players learn from this.

I agree that the international break does not help this early into a season where we are changing the team and the system.

I also think that Shawcross, Upson, and the Stoke keeper were absolutely amazing. They protected the goal mouth like it held the holy grail. Class defending which even took Suarez off his game, and Suarez would even destroy both the Manc defenses any day of the week.

Dont be too tough on Hendo or Adam, they were easily in our top 3 vs Bolton

Red Rooboy

Adam was shockingly bad.

Adam played horribly bad. He missed 5 yard passes as well...

Everytime we sell good players like xabi and Mereiless we go down very quickly.

Hey ed do u expect carra to be atleast our 4th choice cb cum next season? or wil he retire? i personally think he shud retire.wilson shud be loaned out n be our 4th cb next season.
Indian Buzzer {Ed001's Note - I think he will move on a free next summer. He is not ready to retire, he loves playing too much, but he is not likely to be first choice next season.}

Ed, u think Carra will leave next summer? {Ed002's Note - That is what he said.}

Without doubt Carra will find himself down to 3rd or 4th choice CB, but what a player to have in that position. He could def do a job for us and I think his love for Liverpool would be greater than his love for playing for a lower team just so he can keep playing. IMO he will be at Liverpool for years , going from player to coaching role and then who can tell where that might lead.

EST.1892

Hans't Carragher often stated that he'd want to say he only played for Liverpool FC? I think he'd move into a coaching role with us rather than move.

I believe Carragher has always said that he enjoys playing football and that if he wasn't first choice here he would consider moving to get first team football - think I read that in his autobiography.

JRG

If carra wants first team football, then he shud leave for another club. i noe he is a legend but u cant be too sentimental. he is not gonna be a key member for the long haul
Indian Buzzer

I think you're wrong ed. Strange thing to say in my opinion.

He'll be around at liverpool for the rest of his carrier playing/coaching/management.

I personally think he'll be still involved on more games next season than people think. If he's not first choice he'll get the nod on the bench before any other defender due to him being able to play across the back four.

I also think he knows working under Kenny, he has a real chance of winning a league trophy. If that means being part of the squad for the next 2/3 years as back up then he'll do it. Whilst being drafted in to the coaching setup.

Shmickles

Didn't carra recently say that he could never see himself playing for another club? i believe i read that somewhere in the last couple of months.

Carra won't leave on a free he'll get a new contract and he's still a quality defender

Carra also started his career in CDM, that could also be a very good option.

Footy online has suggesting that Luis Suarez has dissolutioned with lack of Improvement in Liverpool under Kenny Dalglish and already looking for a move to Real Madrid with Mourinho is keen to Acquire the Service of Uruguay Front man. What a crap post. Worst i ever Read
Indian Red

Then if it's crap... don't circulate it for them.

HAAHAAHAHA funniest ive read for a week!!
ItsNotRocketScience

Rubbish!! The only disillusioned people are the ones who come out with this crap; one bad result does not end the season, suarez looking forward to a good future with LFC.

Suarez isn't like torres he does not jump ship, he didn't want to leave ajax but he was sold for financial reasons, torres wanted to win things he can't even win his starting place at chelski.

Look at this logically - if Suarez was intending to leave in the near future, why would he persuade Seb Coates to come to LFC ?.. Suarez is here for the long haul !!

Agreed. But I feel he may want an improved deal in the near future.

Dont take the bait........he`s not one of us

Footyonline. Three 14 year olds sat in their bedrooms making up stories..enough said.

I fully believe it. It seems EVERY player wants to play for Barca or Real Madrid. He didn't grow up in Liverpool, so I wouldn't doubt this at all.

The only person disillusioned in this is suarez

Crap!! manc?blue poster

If this is true, the Bernabeau will be airlifted to stanley park in exchange and renamed Anfield.

You must be dumb to even post this

Cant expect better from a fake........RED INDIAN

Why are you all so worried..? We'll just buy another two players to compensate with the fee..

ed! can u tell me if there is a chance of bringing torres back as many fans here are moaning around? do u think we will buy a creative mid on jan? i heard sumwhere that kk is a fan of wigan mccgarthy(spelling)! and do u think we will buy a rb n rw in jan? also oi think kyut will leave after his comment saying:"i m poor champion" think selling kyut for 11 m n getting mmm or jhonshon or honda is realastic option rather than navas or hazard although i would love tooo!! plz ed rpllyy!! n bring on toottt! we wiil show u the how a real red will tear u apart!!!!!!
ynwa............. great site keep it up ed!!!!!!! {Ed002's Note - I doubt that Torres. It is way too early to tell about January but it won't be Navas or Hazard and Liverpool decided not to move for Honda last winter.}

Torres will crawl back to Spain with tail between his legs. I can already see the interview on Spanish TV: " they weren't good enough for me in England so I decided to go back to Spain....".

Mccarthy maybe.can save striker cash till summer,with bellamy uptop with suarez.playmaker like marin,and r.winger like adam johnson more what lfc need-now!! ie.january

I would love to see Honda at Liverpool, could be the missing piece we are after....
