hi eds ,

i know we were linked with adama traore sorry about the spelling , i see he signed for aston villa for 7 mil , did we really want him or was it just paper talk , if we wanted him do you know why we never paid such a small transfer amount , as i can't understand why we pay so much for say lallana and let this kid through our fingers for a third of the price and i think if we sell on we would get more money for the younger barca lad , sometimes BR transfers baffle me

{Ed001's Note - we were interested but were not in anyway shape or form going to consider a move with a buyback clause nor a loan, which were the only two options Barca were interested in.}

How does this work then in the future then Ed? If he settles well and is successful on the pitch and another team comes in for him say for £15mil, do Barca have to match that fee then or the clauses then become invalid or can it be written into the original clause that the clause must transfer along with the player in the future. Maybe I'm talking through my drain pipe. Just curious.

{Ed002's Note - Typically it works on a fixed fee after two years and another fixed fee after three years. Barcelona has done that in the past with the likes of Romeu.}

If another team comes in with an offer though what happens? Is it something similar to what happened with Markovic via Benfica/Chelsea in a roundabout way?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing like the situation with Markovic.}

Hi eds , happy Friday and all that,
I dunno if this has been asked already, but isn't there any English clubs stupid enough to buy balloteli with cash to burn. ie West Ham or some1 like that? Just read about the huge bonus he gets that was in his contract if he stays more than a year

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - no interest in buying him right now.}

If this story is true it is quite amusing in a sick and twisted way. You take a gamble on a player, who you know is 50/50 if he would last a year and then say if you do last a year we will give you lots of money. Not if you are a first team regular or based on previous contribution, you will get a bonus. If true, pure genius.

Expect a last minute loan deal abroad with lfc paying the bulk of his wages.same scenario next summer when he's pissed another club off over the coming months
