According to today's Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Klopp is still very keen on Napoli's Piotr Zielinski, and an offer of £25M has already been made and Naby Keita is still a big interest, although Liverpool could be priced out, £50 mil or more as his club don't need to sell or need the money.

They can keep zielinski.

So, we're interested in signing Zielinski when we've already moved on and signed Wijnaldum instead last season? Sounds like a load of tosh to me mate.

In fairness lads zielinski had a very good season with Napoli.

Not completely out of question to target Zielinski. People may say Gini was the alternative we signed but we did not have European football last season. Lucas is going so a midfielder will probably arrive. Zielinski had a very good season at Napoli and Klopp obviously rates him highly so what's wrong with trying to sign him now?

Nabby keita or Nothing!

Done see why we'd need Zielinski when we have Gini, Llalana, Coutinho, Grujic able to play attacking midfield, and Can and Hendo can play further forward too if required.

Zielinski will be another wrong purchase. We need a CM and not an ACM! Naby Kieta, Savic or Kovacic please.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jun 2017 11:02:02
I think Zielinski would add diversity to our midfield, unless Couthinho drops deep, we do not have a midfield player that can take a ball, carry it, run at the defense, dribble past the first defender, then thread a pass while other defenders are scrambling to close down.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Grujic starts next season.
Hopefully he gets an injury free run of games.
He'll be like a new signing as will Danny Inges, but with Danny it'll probably be later in the season.

There was a lot of posts about Cann and his value to the team, I thought that towards the end of the season he was improving game by game. In my view he was an unsung man of the match in a lot of the games.

Hearing from a friend who's big pals with Kenny that Issa Diop from Toulouse is a big target for us at CB. He's played plenty of games for them and is still 20.

Really good player, hugely impressive this season. He's big and imposes himself and his turn of pace is very good.

It's buying a prospect rather than a finished article is my only concern. On the plus klopp does like a good project.

Asked about him a few months back eds said no interest.

Things may have changed Belfast.
We have been focussed on VVD, maybe we have decided to look at other options with the mess we made there.
A lot of pundits still expect our VVD move to go through though, hope we don't get Tadic though. Don't rate him, and fed up of buying from Southampton haha.

I hear you Andy on the Southampton thing!

Bertrand and VVD would still be great signings though.

Let's just buy the whole friggin' team and put everyone out of their misery. 200 Mill should do it.

When Forster plays at Anfield, there's a good chance of a clean sheet. Say, how are we doing for clean sheets?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - At the moment it is RBL who have been speaking to Toulouse about Diop. Chelsea previously had an interest but the player was concerned he would end up on the bench - and Chelsea saw him as an alternative to Anders Christiensen. Arsenal have him in mind as an alternate for Lejeurne.}

15 Jun 2017 01:51:22
I know it's only tongue-in-cheek rhetoric, but there would be no logic in buying their scout. It wouldn't work for us because Liverpool are looking for more ready-made players. The Saints' scout finds their players before they develop into what they are when Liverpool buy them. The Mane who came from Red Bull isn't quite the same player as the Mane who came from Saints, ditto VVD if it happens.

The asking price for LFC is generally 10-20% higher than the price for Southampton.

Liverpool have been in contact with Jonathan Tah representatives in the last 2 days.

Believable8 Unbelievable16

14 Jun 2017 13:28:42
Depends on the price. If its 20 million or so, then I'd take that deal over VVD anyday. Not sure Tah has the necessary experience to play regularly for a team looking to win the league though.

Stop wit your monkey sponge stuff or twitteratti. Passing it off as itk. Anyway . Tah is the German version of Micah Richards.

Don't we all meanly just pass on stuff rumoured by the media in here? I mean, who has any connections for any or insider stuff after all. I don't mind you passing it on BigD, since I don't go through twitter accounts myself.

How on earth is he passing it on as his own? All he did was state a rumour. It's useless trolls like writing negative crap like that who drove off Macca for a whole year. Chill out!

Don't get the fuss about Tah either, very average from I've seen.

A player who looked good in younger age groups due to his physique. Rudiger and Sule are the better German CBs.

That whole team was bad last year, Tah's form alone didn't take the team from champions league place to near relegation zone.

Ron, coaches tend to recruit from league's they know, Rafa went to Spain, Arsene keeps going to France, conte been trying to recruit players from Italy, makes a lot of sense Klopp would go back to Germany and try to cherry pick the talent there.

Hearing that Chelsea want 10m for solanke. Would that be the highest tribunal fee ever? 10m is still a decent fee

Cheers.

Believable22 Unbelievable12

14 Jun 2017 13:49:16
No chance. Chelsea should take the £3m on offer. If it goes to a tribunal there is more chance of that figure being reduced than increasing.

He is a 19 year old who has never played a Premier League game and has 7 senior goals, all of which came in a terrible Dutch league. Tribunals ensure a team gets fair settlement for the time invested in the development of the player. Chelsea are demanding that based on his potential. We paid less for Ings who had over 50 senior goals for Burnley and had just hit double figures in the Premier League.

They are living in a dreamland and should take the very significant £3m on offer.

Agree15 Disagree19

14 Jun 2017 14:25:45
Agreed that ings looked a bigger prospect and had a decent season before we signed him. But with inflation and all that, 10m isn't too bad. I heard (rumours) Chelsea wanted 10m as a max, so I gather we could get him for less than that. Can't see him going for the 3m we offered though. anything from 5-8m would be ideal.

14 Jun 2017 14:47:48
Eds, who decides the tribunal fee? Is it the fa?

Agree18 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - here you go: tribunal fees

That article should answer your questions.}

thankyou.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

15 Jun 2017 10:51:23
I reckon an offer halfway between the two should be ok. He's not seen much first team action unlike Ings and hasn't been called up to a senior England squad. Chelsea are just chancing their arm. Which is fair enough as any reasonable team would do the same.
