Hi Eds

Could you possibly clarify if we have a serious interest in Menphis Depay? Rumours circulating recently have Liverpool as favourites then Utd have as good as signed him then Liverpool odds on again!! Has rogers made any moves for this lad and also is there any genuine interest in Rui Patricio and Carvalho??

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - PSV's Memphis Depay has attracted interest from a number of clubs with Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and Manchester United looking to see of a deal can be struck this past summer. Marseille signed Batshuayi and dropped their interest in Depay, and I suspect both Manchester City and Real Madrid have dropped their interest. Manchester United, Newcastle and Spurs are known to still keeping an eye on the player with Everton and Liverpool also both having had the player watched recently. Someone very knowledgable about football in the Netherlands has suggested that a move to Newcastle would suit him better than the likes of Real Madrid or the Manchester sides as he would need a couple of years to establish himself in the first team and sitting on the bench will not help him at all. He has also advised the player against a move to Spurs, and his views are well enough thought of to likely remove them from being an option for the player himself. No offers have been made to PSV at this time but it is know that a figure between €25M and €30M would be enough for them not to block a move. The expectation remains that a move to Manchester United is most likely.

I answered about Patricio earlier.

There is interest in Carvalho from a number of clubs still and there have been fairly recent approaches by Arsenal and Manchester United. Monaco and Atletico Madrid may also still be interested. Juventus and Chelsea passed on previous interest because of the cost. Sporting would ideally like to keep him a year or two more. Everyone knows the price and it is significant and there seems little room for negotiation. Liverpool looked at the player at the start of last year but I am not aware of any interest right now.}

Hi Eds

Reports about us getting Andrew Ayew. Is there any truth please? Also any update on Depay?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Are these reports on Twitter? Nothing has changed with either player.}

It's actually the player who has come out and said LFC is his childhood club and he wants to move to England and play for LFC. Maybe he will be looked at as an alternative to Milner?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is not how it works. He previously said Chelsea, Barcelona or Manchester United.}

Hi Eds,
Any update on the interest in Jaime Baez?
Thank you.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not right now.

Jaime Baez has an offer on the table from Ajax and he is a player that Livepool first showed an interest in during 2012 - when there were several South American youngsters being tracked by the club. A work permit would be an issue but interest may still be there from Liverpool. Valencia and Palermo have also shown some interest this season.}

Hi ed, I read an article on Andre Ayew claiming he is a Liverpool fan. Seeing as he's a free agent in the summer could you see us offering him a deal?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I think it very unlikely now.}

Hi Eds, Isn't it the case that QPR have a "sell-on fee" clause for Sterling of 20% plus additional add-on costs from other clauses that would be around £5m in addition to the sell-on percentage?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - The details are wrong but when Sterling moves QPR will receive a significant fee.}

When or if, he moves Ed.

{Ed002's Note - What does it say?}

Cheers as always Ed002. the figures seemed a little obscene to me as well but in these days of the interweb there's no telling what's true and not. except by putting the questions to you guys at this fab site. Thanks.
