I can't believe the amount of rubbish being posted on here! Kaka, Benzema, Sanchez, Hazard, Aguero etc. These are not realistic targets! The likes of Turan, Honda and Banega are realistic targets. . Also we don't need a left back with Johnson playing there! The King has worked wonders with him! He has made every player better, heck even rodriguez! Oh and right wing (not right mid, but right wing) should be Adam Johnson! This guy is quality! I think he is one of the top three left footed wingers in the world at the moment, along with Messi and Bale! On the left wing should be Turan, but I don't know about his pace though. . I don't think he is quick enough or strong enough for the prem but he can work on that.
Also, for the centre back problem, Agger and Wilson should be two of the three centre backs in the 5-3-2 formation.
And I can't believe the people who are saying Gerrard is past his best! Didn't you see him against Napoli and against United in the prem?! You guys are stupid to say that!

Ed what makes you think hazard or sanchez would not come to anfield? For the right price I think they would. {ed's note - they have their pick of Champions League clubs and neither support Liverpool. What makes you think they would come?}

ed-liverpool are a team on the up, players like these would be pretty much guarenteed first team football. soon we will be challenging titles again and ed, this is LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB. we are possibly the greatest side ever. greatest history, most sucessfull and as i said we are a team looking for youngsters on the up. thanks mate.

{Editor's Note: I have explained the clubs that are after them. Hazard has made his position clear. Liverpool will likely not waste effort over targets that will not be making the move to concentrate on those who will. This is the realistic situation.}

Ed whats the reasons mourinho won't come to liverpool? ?? ?? ?? ? {ed's note - I don't know mate, I can't say I bothered to find out as I would hate to see that kind of person in charge of the club. The football is dreadful to watch and consists of diving and play acting to victory. I hope he never disgraces the club with his tactics.}

Editors, what are the chances of Reina leaving in the summer, as he clearly seems to be unsettled and has made comments about his future in the wake of Torres leaving, I know he's got 5 years to run on his contract but with talk of a £20m buy out, what are the odds of him going to a Utd or Arsenal, as he has ruled out a return to Spain? Also would Shay Given be the obvious replacement? Cheers {ed's note - you can't put odds on it, the position we finish in will be a big factor in the decision.}

To many player link with liverpool young, elia, benzema, lavezzi, contrea, enrique, kjaer, hazard, turan, marveaux, honda and few young players. ED do u think we will get any cos everytime we link to a player. The next thing we know some other club get them first.

{Editor's Note: There are players that Liverpool are linked with who will not be moving to Anfield (Hazard and Sanchez for example). There are also players that will not move unless there is Champions League football, and there are those who may well move to Liverpool. So yes, there are chances.}

Spanish youngster bojan and karim benzema are on the radar for striker options in the summer hope this does not mean a departure for Pacheco. . . .

I would be happy to replace Pacheco with Bojan, it s a no brainer (Dani is a good player, but what has he shown playing for LFC that says he will be world beater?).
Obviously he is not deemed as ready to take on the prem which is a shame and a concern considering the amount of time he has spent at the clubs and games (run outs really) he has had. He's gonna leave next Jan or summer I reckon.

Hey ed, if rumours regarding Kjaer are true, why would Wolfsburg be willing to sell him after they only bought him last summer? It seems an odd thing to do. Also, are you aware of any other teams besides us who would be interested in him?

DownUnderRed. {ed's note - there is a lot of interest in him, but that doesn't necessarily translate to a bid. I don't know why Wolfsburg would be willing to sell him, they certainly don't need the money, but I haven't kept abreast of his situation to know if he is unhappy there or not.}

Just to muddy waters even further, Wolfsburg have been linked with a Summer bid for Skrtel.

Aleksandar Tonev a name that I keep hearing, attacking right midfielder, young and technically gifted I have heard.

What if any are your thoughts ed?? {ed's note - I don't know mate, have heard the name but nothing about him or regarding us watching him. But we have had CSKA Sofia watched in the past, I don't know if he was in the team though at the time.}

Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Argentine international forward has been earning rave reviews for his performances with Napoli in Serie 'A', and Kenny Dalglish is thought to be interested in bringing the player to Liverpool.
Lavezzi gave the Merseysiders a glimpse of his talents in a Europa League clash at Anfield earlier this season, shining in the first half before Steven Gerrard came off the bench to rescue Liverpool with a hat-trick.
A product of the Boca youth system, the player made his name in south America before signing at the Stadio San Paolo for 6 million back in 2007. Lavezzi had previously signed for Genoa, but did not make an appearance during his first spell in Italy.
Whilst not the most prolific if strikers, the player is renowned for his passing and technical ability, and could play as a second striker or playmaker behind two forwards.
Despite spending big in the position in January, it's thought that Dalglish is keen on strengthening his strikeforce further at Liverpool in the summer.

Not convinced that he's a player that we truly need (considering the position he plays), but he's certainly a talented player and we have been linked to him in the past - I'm sure Rafa was very keen a couple of seasons ago when Lavezzi was in dispute with Napoli, but H&G wouldn't stump up the cash.

Marveaux is a right sided defender that has many qualities that can be considered to be more usefull as a right sided winger.

{Editor's Note: Or more specifically he is a predominently left-footed player who can play anywhere across midfield. He is certainly not a "right sided defender".}

{Editor's Note: A pre-contract agreement was agreed subject to his injury clearing up and him being able to pass a medical in the summer.}

Ed as I don't see much French football is Marveaux any good? Our recent history of free signings Jovanovic, Cole and Voronin have been poor and I just hope were not signing a very average player

{Editor's Note: He will be a good addition to the squad.}
