The Daily Fail are reporting the below:

Liverpool will not offer Fabio Aurelio a new deal when his current contract expires at the end of the season.
The Brazilian left-back, 32, has been tormented by fitness problems during his six years at Anfield and will return to South America to see out his career.

Aurelio's departure will enable England youth international Jack Robinson to become Jose Enrique's deputy.

The Wolfman

Wow they must be getting better! Thats even believable! I trust as usual the article contains no quotes what so ever?

PDUK

It's hardly a surprise is it? As much as I love the guy - he's probably our most technical left-footer - but he shouldn't have gotten that chance at re-signing.

TSP

Was Fabio staying ever a possibility? He's a classy player but he is always injured, there was never any way he was getting a new deal.

This is shocking stuff Wolman :)

Whats with the bitchy answers on here, it doesnt always need to be 100 percent accurate or needs to be a surprise, they guy is simply relaying something he had hears hence 'rumours' and if you lived in Liverpool you would have read it in the loc newspaper there is your source

Hope if he is avaliable we take a look at Eljero Elia in the summer,is it true Juventus were willing to let him go out on loan in january?

PM {Ed002's Note - Elia looked certain to move to Valencia a year ago with Liverpool and others considering the player too expensive. He decided to stay in Hamburg and then took the option of a move to Juventus over Newcastle - but it has not really worked out and Juve were indeed willing for him to make a move on loan with, I expect, an option to buy. Everton, Hertha Berlin and Newcastle had apparently shown interest and his representatives were looking to place him in a northern European side where he will get a regular start. I am sure he will be available in the summer.}

I never understand what the obsession is with this lad with some people. He's just an even sh1tter Ryan Babel.

Ed you mentioned Liverpool are interested in buying someone for the right hand side of the pitch do you know of any interest in Alan Dzagoev {Ed002's Note - The winter would have been the time to buy him. Arsenal certainly had an interest last year.}

Will he be available in the summer and do you think Liverpool would be interested. Hes a great player and could add a lot to the team {Ed002's Note - It is less likely he will be available in the summer than during the winter window - however there is a chance. Liverpool have not shown interest to date but that could change.}

Hi Eds

You say you think right winger is one of the priorities, which I definitely agree with, just wondering which right wingers weve recently been watching or are interested in (I tried the search function)

Thanks

Mac {Ed002's Note - The summer is a way off yet, you will need to wait a while before we hear more.}

Just wondering who we have watched/been watching

Mac

We've been watching Isla of udinese. Though he's out injured now, but he'll still be the most likely to arrive. Great little player, will give us width and options.

Hi eds! Could you possibly see us making a move for junior hoilett? Would be a good addition in my opinion.

Jman {Ed002's Note - It has to be a possibility, but I expect that Spurs, Newcastle, Stoke and possibly Aston Villa will continue their interest - plus a couple of clubs from Germany.}

15 Feb 2012 16:57:39
hey eds just wondering (not for liverpool, just in general) how long is left on tevez' contract?
Are they under pressure to sell before losing him on a free deal? {Ed002's Note - June 2014 and there is no pressure - they just want him gone. I would not be shocked if he were sold to Anzhi next week.}

15 Feb 2012 16:57:06
Hi eds,
Have you heard of a player called Ahmed Musa of CSKA Moscow. Hes a 19yr old nigerian winger with blistering pace and is apparantly tearing it up in russia. Could be just what we need.

WillLFC {Ed002's Note - I don't know where you get this rubbish from, but Musa has only arrived in Moscow a few weeks ago and it is the close season still in Russia - so he will not have had any chance to be "tearing it up" in Russia as he won't have played in any games. I can only assume you have found something in one of the children's fantasy manager games.}

Ok Ed, I'd only heard of his name from an article I read and was asking about him. I wasnt trying to wind you up or anything.
WillLFC {Ed002's Note - You need to change your reading matter then I guess Will.}

Tbf it was from so i was probably better off ignoring it.

Good lad

15 Feb 2012 16:56:46
are the hamisk rumours true and i just know suarez didnt hand in a transfer request {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any Hamsik rumours. Sorry.}

15 Feb 2012 16:42:25
do we have any interest in Lewis Holtby or Julian Draxler or Howedes {Ed002's Note - I doubt it.}

You wont get lewis holtby, he's a massive blue apparently!

15 Feb 2012 16:41:41
are we interested in any world class people but not like messi standard {Ed002's Note - "World class" is a subjective term and the summer is still a long way off. Much will depend on how the season finishes with regard to the Champions League etc., and much will depend on who is leaving.}

15 Feb 2012 16:22:34
who are we more interested in is it higain or benzema {Ed002's Note - I don't see current interest in either unless Suarez leaves. Real Madrid are looking to sell Higuain to fund a bid for Cavani, or possibly even Aguero. The price for him was very high. There was previous reported interest in Benzema but I don't see Real Madrid selling him anytime soon.}

15 Feb 2012 15:58:19
Couls we move for javi garcia and kagawa in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Mannchester United, Arsenal, AC Milan and Bayern Munich have certainly been looking at Javi Garcia but I suspect there may well be a serious push from Manchester City to bring in Garcia as a replacement fro Nigel De Jong. I don't see how Liverpool could fit him in the team, particularly with Lucas to return - nor see the owners agreeing to buy a player only recently embroiled in controversy. Liverpool have been one of the clubs, along with Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Although Kagawa has had a generally pretty poor season, he is now back in favour at Dortmund and looking to agree an extension to his contract. I think that he will probably stay on next season.}

15 Feb 2012 15:04:06
ed whats your opinion on the quotes from lavezzis agent saying he will be a liverpool player at the end of the season if napoli do not extend his contract and would this mean luis is leaving as their very similar players CHEERS !!

JF lfc {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Levezzi from several clubs including Manchester City, Juventus, Zenit and PSG. I think it would take a very high bid to get Napoli to consider selling the player and I think the player himself is happy where he is right now. If Suarez were to leave I imagine Liverpool could rekindle their interest - which goes back to the previous owners.}

This news come from said by an Argentine football Pundit not the agent of Lavezzi. the news writer already apologies for the news he wrote.

Regarding whether the story's are true or not, eden hazard to spurs, no one has denied the story esp hazard, now it seems eriksson would also jump at the chance, "as a spurs fan it would be my dream to play for them", a quote from 442?, last year munian touted himself to chelsea and spurs , it seems hes putting out feelers about spurs again in the spanish press, they have just landed the very talented brazilian under 20 captain, and are being linked again to another brazilian in damiao for the summer! The good news is that they may have given up on marin? They do have very good backing in levy @ 2.6 billion, one investor @ 400 million & one other @ 900 million, we on the other hand seem to be looking at second rate players, yes I get we would not be getting the cavani's, hazards & llorente of this world but we could aim a little higher than some on here do post?

Spurs dont have thta much backimng

They.actually have this and slightly more, its a very well run ship tbh, {Ed002's Note - The amount of personal money that shareholders in Spurs have is irrelevant to the money that is available for transfers.}

My club is bigger than yours. Nah nah na nah na. ffs.

They may be thinking that they are now in as good a position on the pitch as they have been in many, many years and instead of yo-yoing in and out of the champions league, they need to strike while they can attract these sorts of player in order to stay there. Makes perfect sense to me. I just hope we look to get some international talent.

Ash

I see the resident Spurs fan has returned after a long hiatus.

Eden Hazard, his club and all reputable sources close to them refuted the Spurs story quite clearly just 2 days ago. You appear to have completely made up the Eriksen quotes - and it is doubtful he would even be of interest to Spurs given Luka Modric plays for them. No such rumours of Muniain wanting to go to Spurs are surfacing inter Spanish press, no have they ever. Damiao could've moved to Spurs in January but didn't. And finally Levy's - or any other shareholder's - personal wealth has absolutely no impact of available transfer funds at Spurs. They are however well-backed, though, but they have spent a lot in the last few years and I doubt with FFP and said use of a major amount of money recently they would embark on a further summer spending spree, as suggested by Mr Spurs Fan.

Martin

Martin, your remark probably best suits you! Dim whited! Just on hazard both spurs and hazard neither admit nor deny the rumour, and ed your spot on regarding how much is spent, but time and time again you get idiots like martin who have no idea of other clubs backing, I remember chelsea and I think I'm right that they were owned by some person yet backed by the late mathew harding? Bts martin the eriksson quote is real unfortunately, the poster was talking about the rise of one club and the slight demise of lfc, it sounds like you have been watching football for all but 10 mins

Martin, you did read the posters opening lines regarding hazard didn't you?

Hazard and others may fancy Spurs until they find out how much they are getting paid. Some players at White Hart Lane will be looking for a raise in the summer or else testing the transfer waters. If Spurs lose Redknapp to England, all bets in North London are off & Levy's wallet may tighten with a big name manager becoming the priority.

Argentine agent Jose Alberti says Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi could already be a Liverpool player.

And he reveals Liverpool remain keen on the attacking midfielder.

"Two years ago," said Alberti, "I oversaw a meeting between the leaders of Liverpool and Napoli. We discussed a possible deal to bring Lavezzi to England.

"Nothing happened, but I know specifically that the English club still has great interest in the player, especially after the performance of this season.

"I am of the opinion that if they fail to increase the contract of El Pocho, after this season we could see him go."

Only 4 goals in 18 games this season!!!!

Never believe anything an agent of any player has to say. Only ever believe a club wants a player if the club actually says so, and in our case Liverpool will never make it publicly known who we are after. All agents and in most cases players too, are just trying get the best deal they can by playing all clubs against each other looking to make massive commsions by moving their own players on to the highest bidder.

Do you think there is any truth in this EDs and is there any interest? Thanks,

ManfieldRED {Ed002's Note - You have to keep in mind that Alberti is not his agent and the interest from Liverpool was back in the days of Benitez and the previous owners. There is interest in Levezzi from several clubs including Manchester City, Juventus, Zenit and PSG but I think it would take a very high bid to get Napoli to consider selling the player. Added to that, I understand that the player himself is happy where he is right now. Perhaps if Suarez were to leave Liverpool could look again at him.}

Napoli are obviously doing very well as is Lavezzi, with the financial position of the club being good as well, this agent is clearly just looking to force Napoli's hand into giving Levezzi a bigger and better contract. Simples as that :)

I believe the 'Luis Suarez has handed in a transfer request' story was started by a Twitter account name @SkyNewsFeed who also have the 'Bio' of 'Stories & Statistics not directly from the Sky News newsroom. *We Make Sh*t Up, To Fool You*'

The rumour isn't true.

Tevez back to Man City ed002.
Are they gonna get him fit and playing again, to ready shifting him away in Summer ?
Were the Italian clubs trying to shaft City money-wise, to take him on loan back in January there ?
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - There was no way Manchester City were ever going to accept a loan deal. Whether or not he plays again for Manchester City I don't know - but I would not be at all surprised to see him sold in the next two weeks to Anzhi. If not, he will be sold in the summer.}

15 Feb 2012 10:28:58
ED, IS IT TRUE THAT SUAREZ HAS HANDED IN A TRANSFER REQUEST
{Ed002's Note - I don't know.}

I find it very unlikely myself. There would be no point in handing in a transfer request now with the transfer window so far away he can't go anywhere.

col {Ed002's Note - There are plenty of places the window is still open - Russia, Norway, USA, Sweden, Japan etc..}

15 Feb 2012 10:08:21
eds has suarez handed in a transfer request if it says sky sources it could be anyone a paper a footbaal rumour website anyway {Ed002's Note - I don't know.}

It was a parody account eds. They should be very careful. UNTRUE.

Teejay {Ed002's Note - Well that is Twitter for you.}

15 Feb 2012 10:06:59
Hey ed, what are the chances of signing Adam Johnson, Stevan Jovetic or Lukas Podolski? Cheers ed. {Ed002's Note - If Manchester City replace Johnson there has to be a chance. Jovetic I would say no chance - Podolski is unlikely.}

15 Feb 2012 09:35:39
Hi Ed's, is it odds on then that Johnson will be going in the summer? If so for what reason?

Also with possibly Kuty,Maxi Aurelio, also likely who do you see from the reserves stepping up to take their places? OR will KK just buy in replacements?

Lee {Ed002's Note - I think it likely that Johnson will go. Isla is a good possibility to arrive as a replacement. I would expect a right sided forward and a striker to arrive.}

What would that mean for Martin Kelly ed? {Ed002's Note - I guess he will remain a vital member of the squad being able to play at both right back and centre back.}

A bit strange really as Johnson has proved he can fill in at left back as well. I would like to see us keep the defenders we have, "if it ain't broke ,don't fix it."
CR

Johnson's wages are ridicuclous!

Dirk Kuyt = Luuk De Jong
Daniel Pacheco
Maxi Rodriguez = Ibrahim Afalley
Joe Cole = Dusan Tadic
Alberto Aquilani
Glen Johnson = Mauricio Isla
Stephen Darby
Fabio Aurelio = (Jack Robinson)
Doni = (Peter Gulacsi)
Brad Jones

I don't see us spending huge amounts in the summer.

15 Feb 2012 06:42:23
yo eds...... u guys r doin a great job....... r we in for RVP?? and if not, y not??? and wat other prospects can we expect regardless of our seemingly diminishing hopes of reaching the champions league??? {Ed002's Note - I don't see any chance of Van Persie moving to Anfield. IT realy is too early to think about summer transfers.}

RVP, are you smoking something!? The only place he is going when he finally realises Arsenal are going nowhere is Spain (Madrid/Barca)

14 Feb 2012 23:06:08
Hi ed. Always hear we spent 100m then some one else will say that we got a lot of that back in sales and wages. So how much did they spend? Cheers    {Ed002's Note - I don't know the exact number but the total actually spent was the cost of transfers of all of the players, plus VAT, plus agent fees, plus VAT on the agent fees, plus the costs ofpaying off contracts and bonuses for a number of the players who left, plus ongoing wage contributions for the likes of Aquilani, Cole and Poulsen - that will give you the gross figure. You then deduct from that the fees obtained from selling players plus VAT and that should give you the net figure.}

Isn't VAT reclaimed every quarter? {Ed002's Note - Yes, but not all of the VAT is reclaimable. In the case of Agent fees, none is reclaimable.}

What a "fluppin" equation! My brain hurts.

14 Feb 2012 23:00:35
Hiya eds, I know the summer is a long way off, but I just wondered if anyone had any info on Andre Ayew? Could he be a realistic target for LFC? {Ed002's Note - If Ayew moves in the summer, which is possible, his preferred destination is Spain.}

14 Feb 2012 20:28:44
Hello Ed002,
don't know what will happen but I think both Suarez and Carroll should be given at least one more season. Liverpool need a striker, everyone knows that so probably people at the club too. I hope they'll get one in the summer and it will be a world class striker. Defence is great, mid can be great in a couple of weeks or months, even with these players. Remember there is Lucas, Gerrard, Adam, Henderson, Spearing, and a bunch of others. Maybe they just need some more time together. A 20+ goals a season at EPL player is what this club needs.

I am sure Carroll and Suarez will be at LFC next season but think Kuyt, maxi and Aurelio will go. Personally I would like to see the back of Downing as well but that won't happen
CR

Just a quick reply the midfielders you mentioned u have to remember they are all central midfielders (henderson can play on right i agree) but we do need wingers

15 Feb 2012 08:55:03
Hi Eds. Can you shed any light on the news going round that Luis Suarez has handed in a transfer request and that this has also been confirmed by the club. It seems possible but I just think that it would be something that was kept in house.

Thanks

Stewy {Ed001's Note - he's not and it hasn't.}

15 Feb 2012 08:35:40
Hi eds,

I was just wandering if any future sponsorship deals could be affected with the whole suarez matter, ie naming rights for a new stadium because i think thats the only way we could afford a new ground with a huge deal like arsenal got.

Thanks

red raj {Ed001's Note - yes it could be, which is why FSG are so concerned about it.}

15 Feb 2012 08:16:38
Ed do you know if Honda's deal to Lazio has gone through as yet?
I know if we were gonna go for him we would have by now, but just wondered if it had been finalised as yet.

Also what's this talk of Hazard being interested in moving to Tottenham? Shall I just take this as a bull story to churn out some sales?

Jonesred {Ed001's Note - Honda's move fell through. Hazard has talked up interest in numerous clubs now, he seems likely to just go where he gets offered the most money.}
