Ed can I ask the begovic situation, is he for staying at stoke this summer?

Believable7 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - he is settled there, mostly because of his other half not wanting to move. Stoke are looking to loan out Butland for another season instead. It would be interesting to see what would happen if they can't loan him out, as I can't see either being happy to sit on the bench.}

Fraser forster might be a good bet?
Quite like to see him tried for england instead of hart aswell

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed030's Note - Not for me, Decent shot stopper and that's all. }

And by either on the bench I presume u mean Butland because he's no chance of being ahead of Begovic in the near future

If LFC or any over PL team where to try and sign Firmino, which LFC committee want to, even though Rodgers prefers Lallana. Would there be an issue with work permit for Firmino?

Believable7 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Firmino agreed an extension recently but will very likely move in the summer with Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar, Zenit, Inter, Manchester United and Schalke interested - but Dortmund pushing for a deal. I am aware that Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool have also looked at Firmino but have not declared interest with his agent. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton. May well be first choice to replace Alexis Sanchez.

There would be no WP issue.}

Hi eds.
Rumours rumours all day every day about incoming players. Is there much going on with regards to players leaving? Which players are looking likely to be playing elsewhere come the start of next season? Also what is people fascination with money? Surely that's not an issue for the fans to worry about?!

Believable9 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - Sama has gone. Coates will certainly leave if a buyer can be found and Agger will probably leave. Cisskho has gone. Coady will leave. Moses has gone. There is interest in Suarez. Assaidi is up for sale. Borini wants to stay but I suspect the club will listen to offers.}

Thanks for the info ed. I get bored of reading the same rumours and questions about players day in day out. I don't know how you cope!

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - No problem - you can add Aspas to the list as well.}

Sorry ed. Just one question. You say if a buyer can be found agger will leave, how does that work? Are we actively looking to sell or does his agent approach clubs of interest?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It was about Coates but the principle is the same. Agents are informed and they speak with other clubs. If a club is interested they then liaise with Liverpool and the agent.}

I guess Reina and Suso to be sold also plus Alberto and Yesil on loan

Brad jones also

Good strong rumour that Ilori is returning to Liverpool for pre-season which is great news as this Lad is class and very fast class at that, will allow us to defend a higher back line when you have that kind of speed.

I dunno this rumour about a player, who's contractually obligated to work for Liverpool which includes pre-season games, seems a bit farfetched to me.

Hi eds and reds,

just a few players i'd like to ask about, first of all I've seen a few reports not twitter saying we are now watching daley blind for an alternative to Moreno, is there any truth to this?

another report again not twitter saying we are "ready to bid 27mil for Alexis Sanchez" again any truth?

and finally obviously lazy journos but thought I would ask Roberto firmino reports suggest that we have opened talks to sign him, any truth?

thanks again

{Ed002's Note - A year or two back Liverpool took a look at Daley Blind but did not follow up. There was interest from Hannover 96 in January and Hamburg both in January and again recently. Chelsea spoke with Ajax about the player as an option for their left back problem and his agent would like to talk to Manchester United - but they have not made any approach yet.

There has been some interest from Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on and would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. There have been discussions Juventus in respect of Sanchez and there is no secret that his agent has confirmed that they would be willing to meet the terms that the player desires. However, they are far from agreeing a figure with Barcelona for the sale - very far indeed. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on for a very significant fee or would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. Barcelona were looking to replace Fabregas with Vidal and were looking to that as an option whilst there is such a difference between what is being asked and what is being offered. However, with talks dragging on and Juventus wanting to keep Vidal their attention shifted from Vidal to Koke and then to Rakitic.

Firmino agreed an extension recently but will very likely move in the summer with Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar, Zenit, Inter, Manchester United and Schalke interested - but Dortmund pushing for a deal. I am aware that Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool have also looked at Firmino but have not declared interest with his agent. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton. May well be first choice to replace Alexis Sanchez.}

Bonus payments tied to Steven Caulker contract is delaying a deal to Liverpool but it should be completed in July. not really impressed with this would prefer Lovren but think barcalona is his destination

Unless the situation has changed overnight Liverpool were strongly contemplating another bid. Why the rush? We want Lovren but are happy to wait for the time being.
