Sigurdsson is proving to be a real quality player at Swansea and, I believe, he is there on loan. Any chance of us having a cheeky bid for him? Cheers eds. {Ed002's Note - I don't really know what you mean by "cheeky bid" but I have no knowledge of interest from Liverpool but if he keeps up his current form he will likely attract attention.}

I really didn't mean anything by "cheeky bid"...it's just an expression! I suppose what I was getting at was do you think he'd be of interest to Liverpool after proving to be such a good acquisition for Swansea? {Ed002's Note - As I said, if he keeps up his current form he will likely attract attention. However, there is no way to know if LIverpool will look in his direction.}

Spurs close in on Hazard we want Sigurdsson. Hmm wonder why are 7th.

I think Sigurdsson is only on loan to Swansea from Hoffenheim until the end of the season.

What's wrong with being linked with this guy and not Hazard? Since when has signing "names" been an instant guarantee of success? Was Thierry Henry a name when Arsenal brought him to England? How about Cantona? Sami Hyypia?

Meanwhile players like Shevchenko, Torres and Veron were huge names when they were signed and flopped massively.

Hazard could be crap in the Premiership and it's a huge amount of money to spend for such a risk. (especially for somebody who would see any club as a stepping stone to Barca or Real)

There is nothing wrong with that. But with our recent record it doesn't exactly make good reading does it? Oh and Henry was regarded as one of Eurpoe's top talents when he signed for Juventus, but it didn't work out. We need some more established names and stop relying on possible future talents which is why we are 7th.

Eds,
Do you think we have considered Aleksandrs Cekulajevs? 46 goals in 46 games, worth a shot! {Ed002's Note - No he has been playing in the equivalent of the Conference and has recently moved to Valletta.}

Obviously moved for champions league football or was his other team in it

He will be under more pressure here. he will not have the time to pick his spot. he will not be able to beat men like he can there

Rennes have said M'vila can go in the summer. Do you think lfc could go for him eds? {Ed002's Note - I don't know that Liverpool are looking for a defensive midfield player so probably not.}

17 Mar 2012 16:09:44
Hey eds where do you think yann mvila will end up in the summer ? {Ed002's Note - Inter Milan, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus have all shown a determined interest in M'Vila and perhaps PSG will become interested as well.}

Ed if kenny was to leave, who do you think could be possible options to replace him? I know deschamps has been mentioned but his marseille side are only 8th in ligue 1. I would love jochim low or klopp {Ed002's Note - It is very early to say if he will leave and who would replace him. Jorge Jesus is looking to move at some point although his success this year makes it less likely it will be this summer.}

Why is everyone against kenny and saying he wont be manager, i think we have improved a lot and don't wan't anyone else as boss

Hearing the name of 'Jesus' i already can see Mancs gonna make a banner of "Even Jesus cant save the Scousers" , LOLZ

on a Serious note , Long Live The King .. considering the team is in transition phase & 7 new players in team needs a lot of Adjustment .. still we have won a trophy & in QF of another . Sacking him now wld be insensible

The problem is the owners never wanted Kenny in the first place. They wanted a younger manager. He was appointed because of the pressure from fans and they wanted to give the fans what they want. The players bar bellamy suarez and enrique that he has bought were awful signings though.

I would get rid of the players rather than the manager. Kenny knows his stuff and it's the players that haven't delivered this season. Carroll, Henderson and Downing were all bought for a lot of money and they have been poor in most of their games in a red shirt.

If you were to replace those 3 players with better players then goals would be flying in! At the moment we are creating lots of chances but not sticking it in the net. Look at how few goals we have scored, it's appalling!

Gaz1975

Downing, Carrol, Adam & Henderson were stand out players for their respective clubs before moves to LFC so im with Gaz1975 in that the players should shoulder majority of blame for our EPL position. Our defence has been more than adequate, imo, to sustain a top 4 position. Our lack of finishing and cutting edge across the midfield/forwards have heaped pressure on when we should be killing games off. Kenny to stay.

Not saying Kenny should go but disagree re putting all the blame on those players. It was Kenny who brought them in and the lack of goals is down to lack of confidence and poor tactics earlier in the season when our build up was slow and obvious. Even Suarez has not been finding the net very often this season.

Here's a really revolutionary suggestion.
Why don't we actually invest in the team for once? Why don't we actually sign players who deserve the wages of Champions Lge players?

Oops I forgot, too many of you have been brainwashed into thinking NESV have invested in the playing staff!

Brainwashed? That has to be the most deluded post I've ever seen on this website,and there have been a lot.

35M Carroll
23M Suarez
20M Downing
15-20M Henderson....

Add Adam,Enrique,Bellamy, Coates.

Are you mental?

And to those saying it is Hendo,Carroll,And Downings fault. You do realise it was Kenny who bought these players?

Who paid embarrassing amounts for these players?

He should be sacked alone for the amount of money he's wasted.

After over 100M spent we are in the exact same position as the last few years.

Needing serious investment in the first team.

N'Gog Offers more than Carroll
Aquilani offers more than Hendo
Meireles offers more than Adam
Jovanovic offers the same as downing... Run twenty yards up the wing,scared of taking on a full back so turn back into midfield and lay it off to the CM.

We are exactly where we have been for the last 2 years. With the money that was spent its simply not acceptable.
{Ed001's Note - at least you finished off by showing how little knowledge of the game you actually have and so made sure we can dismiss this as the ramblings of a deluded mind. Ngog offers nothing, he was dross and was paid more than Carroll too. Aquilani couldn't even cope with training, let alone playing football. At least Adam doesn't dive out of the way of every challenge, at least he makes an attempt to work for the team. The final one is just so laughable that you just prove yourself to not have any idea of footie whatsoever.}

Ed, have u heard of any interest from us in Nick Powell of Crewe. Seems to be a fantastic talent. Hope, we can bring him to the club. Thanks alot for ur time. :) {Ed001's Note - yes, and his team mates Max Clayton and Ben Garrett we have been tracking for a few years now.}

Please can you add this ed check my location whatever, but I am good friends with Alex his brother and I speak to Nick quite often when he comes down to watch his brother play, there is interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Ipswich and a few other Championship teams but he said he definitely would like to join Liverpool if they offered for him {Ed002's Note - The poster is indeed in the right area.}

He isn't even that good. I've seen twice this season when they played the vale and he didn't stand out. He seemed too weak for league 2 nevermind the prem. {Ed001's Note - he is only a kid! He has the potential to be good enough.}

Well for ur critics, there have been games where he was the real star. He is best among Crewe players and only 17. Has got ability to become very good if not great in the future. YNWA

Hello eds, just a few things I've been told by various sources.

Kelly to be taking Johnsons place - Johnson potentially off to Arsenal if they make CL (unsure on this one) for around 8m.

Eden Hazard will simply be sold to the highest bidder - he is likely to agree terms with most of the clubs that can afford his signature although its fairly evident he wants a move to UTD however city may be in the running.

Kuyt will move on if we get a decent enough bid, Stephen Darby will not be part of the first team and if anything will go out on loan. Spearing will feature more prominently and potentially Jack Robinson too. Wilson the young CB is likely to move on.

Not that I'm convinced by much, if any of this, it would be a shame if Wilson was moved on, he looks a very good prospect!

Darby is out of contract.

Stephen Derby is on loan at Rochdale.
A Rochdale-fan I know well says he is playing well at that level but is nowhere near Premiership standard.
I agree, he's been on our books long enough now to have broken through if he were good enough.
ANFIELDPETE

Glenjo
It gets worse. We sell to the Arse. The Arse sell to Man City...
Welcome to 5 times European Cup winners new place in the food chain... ie just off the bottom.

Maybe Glenn Johnson moving on is down to him being a Londoner? I thought he was going to Spurs personally, but it's still another London club he is linked to.

Sometimes players move on due to other reasons than money and performances on the pitch. Maybe he wants to go back to London?

Either way, Martin Kelly is a great player and will be in the team for a long time.

Unfortunately not. His last club was Portsmouth. Its been widely circulated by NESV that they want to cut wages wherever possible, eg Carroll for Nando, Adam for Aqua and Mereiles( or what he was promised anyway). Glenjo ( and prob Luis) are the next in this horrible brand of "corporate bloodletting".

This is AFTER they admitted onfield success is directly related to wages. Basically theyre saying "cut the costs, lets keeping upping the sales ie PROFIT"

How can you use quotation marks from something that has not come from an accurate source you! stop poisoning this site you joke of an L.F.C. fan!

Come back after a stern hard lesson in the ethics and rich culture of this club and then...

Well I'm not a football genius but I do know arsenal wouldnt wanna buy johnson when they have Sagna in that position and was last seasons best rb so be realistic when u drop rumours... No 1 top club in league needs a rb except for man united but they got plenty of crap ones in store and we wouldn't sell 2 them !

Hope johnson moves abroad rather than to a pl team

Hi Eds

I know he moved to Madrid this summer, but do we (or anyone else for that matter) have any interest in Nuri Sahin? He's only made a couple of appearances this season (how much of that is due to injury i dont know). Would love to see him at Liverpool. {Ed001's Note - there have been clubs sniffing around but no decision has been made on his future. I believe it has been Italian clubs showing the main interest.}

Yesss.....I really think we should go for him!

GuvTOB {Ed001's Note - hard to say if Madrid will let him go, they don't even know who will be managing them next season yet! Once that issue is sorted, then the man in charge will suit down with the ones who decide the transfers and we can begin to find out who is for sale.}

Kinda hoping for another Madrid clearout missed the last one with Robben, Sneijder and V.D.V leaving. I can't remember his name but didn't their director say he was staying?

hello ed/eds whats the chances of Mvilla heading to anfield? top top player

thanks
YNWA {Ed001's Note - I doubt we will move for him.}

17 Mar 2012 12:22:35
eds any latest news on hazard? whats the latest of him coming to anfield and where would his likely destination be
many thanks

Yolo Fam {Ed001's Note - I have not heard anything new regarding him, just rehashes of previous stories.}

17 Mar 2012 12:09:51
hey ed, what's the news on Marco Bueno?? Hes 18 in april, do u think thats when he will join?

Red moose {Ed001's Note - yes.}

What do u make of bueno ed? U think he cud be a superstar in the making? N is he the same bueno who is scoring for fun in the mexican league?
Indian Buzzer {Ed001's Note - not seen him play.}

24 Feb 2012 14:43:40
Nacho came with Bueno on trial in August. They scored NINE goals between them in two matches. Nacho signed straight away but has apparently been injured. Bueno should be joining the club in April after his 18th birthday.

are we looking at signing Yann M'Vila by any chance

Eds do you think we will {Ed001's Note - no, I think we have other priorities.}

17 Mar 2012 11:46:27
ed do you think damien comollis job could be under threat at the end of the season {Ed001's Note - no.}

How come Ed? Is he so influential with the board that he can be absolved of any blame for the crazy transfer fees paid for largely disappointing signings? If KD's job is under threat (as many seem to think it is), then why not Commolli? It's a sad state of affairs for all of the blame to be laid on Kenny alone.

Jimbo77 {Ed001's Note - because he does not make the final decision.}

Yes, but if I'm bidding for something on EBay and the price goes too high, I pull out so I don't waste money. He doesn't seem to know when to stop. But, as you say, if Kenny is told 'this will take a huge chunk' out of any so-called budget, then Kenny must take the largest proportion of the blame. All I am saying is that Commolli is not blameless. You are probably right about him staying though - but I'm far from convinced by his negotiating skills.

Truth be told - I'm still very much in the camp of optimism and wouldn't change any management personnel this summer. I firmly believe all managers should be given at least two full seasons.

Both of them should take a long hard look at their transfer strategy though - it almost makes me weep to think about the kind of quality we could have bought for that money.

Jimbo77 {Ed001's Note - we didn't have a choice when we bought Carroll, other than to not buy anyone. Imagine how the fans would have reacted if that had happened.}

Hi, just read through these rumours!!
Well, not sure where all this money is coming from, £40,50,60 million?
To be blunt it aint gonna happen, sorry, I would love to say that KK and DC had been out in Barcelona to tie up £150 million deal for Messi, but like these rumours i'd be in dreamland and wasting time.
Anyway, facts from a reliable media source, no specific targets are in place, yet, KK knows who he wants, owners, KK and DC are meeting at the end of April to discuss transfer ins & outs for the summer, by then we will all have a clearer picture of the chances of champions league next season, and so budget will increase.
Main departure will be Glen J, with Kelly looking like a £10 million plus player RB is solved. Jay will cement his place and be regular for next season, Charlie Adam may well be off loaded. KK knows his youth/reserves are now coming of age, this time next year the likes of Sterling, Morgan, Silva, Coady and Amoo will be regular squad players alongside, Kelly, Robinson, Darby and Shelvey. These players are 'quality'. No wonder the media are speculating that Sterling will go to Spurs, not happening 100% unless in straight swap with Bale, Defoe and Van der Vaart!
Finally remember the name Nick Powell, the Crewe youngster will be an LFC player next season.
Till next time.....

Mate I'm afraid you're mad if u genuinely think Amoo and Darby will make it.

Kieran

And what is the name of this so called reliable media source id love to know?

Jay will cement his place and become a regualr? dont get me wrong. great player great attitude and has picked up his game tremendously. he is just not a lucas. will make a great back up

If I reveal media source, I won't get anymore goss.
As for 'mad' I note you only claim Amoo and Darby won't make it, so therefore Sterling, Morgan, Coady will!! Coady will, like stevie, save the club £50 million.
As for regular re: Jay. Granted when fit Lucas will be in front of the wee lad. But by regular I mean in the match day 18. Who is a regular now? Pepe, Back 4, Stevie and Luis!

Which position nick powell plays?

Think everyone else has said what I think Amoo? Darby? personally I like Coady but he is no Steven Gerrard and I doubt he will make the grade. Morgan is still young and has suffered a mini crisis of confidence-I can't see him coming through yet. We all know Silva, Sterling & Ngoo have the quality so no bolt out of the blue there either.

do you think Brek Shea will make a move to the premier league this summer? Also why do people think that Kuyt and Johnson will leave? Both are fantastic players; Kuyt scores important goals and Johnson is solid and fast RB.
Eds do you think they will leave and if so who will replace them? {Ed016's Note - Kuyt will move on in the summer. Johnson will want champions league football. Luuk De Jong should replace Kuyt and Kelly will just replace Johnson}

I do doubt Johnson will leave, who could he leave to?

And Kuyt will leave.

But can flanagan replace kelly?

Kaizer

Kelly is better than Johnson already and has a fantastic future ahead of him.
Kuyt is a top guy and you cannot question his commitment, however I am getting increasingly frustrated with his lack of anything apart from effort.
Luuk de jonk is a good player and a perfect replacement.
Flana is going to be another player for the future too and will be enough to cover Kelly without spending.
When Lucas returns too we will already have a group of players for next season who know each other and build the main squad. With de Jong and a couple of extras it should be good!

hey eds any hope in alonso coming back to anfield i used the search function but couldn't find your opinion ? {Ed001's Note - no mate, he is the lynchpin of Madrid's team.}

Alonso is likely to return one day but not until he is starting to wind down.
Also, a lot of people want Rafa back next season - so Alonso would keep as far away as possible!
