Hi. Heard in the week that juve may be preparing a bid for Luis. Anyone heard the same?.

Believable10 Unbelievable76

I hear that every week. Aswell as he's not for sale from Liverpool. We'll see how the saga goes. I think he'll stay.

Davey Sulls

Agree0 Disagree0

Offering £40 million for Luis

Next offer is another £60m for Suarez.

Agree0 Disagree0

Luis is staying at Chelsea.
Fernandez will keep wearing his mask as zorro in terms of being embarrassed about scoring goals for £200k at a time. Lampard will sign for another season at £250k per game and goal. Mourinhou will return.
Terry is planning to move back into the goal keeping option.

Once he has a new cap he will be able to stop having so much sex with teammates in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope not heard anything. I think its just you dreaming again.
anyway Juve are off to buy Higuian from Real and Jovetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez staying at Liverpool

With the constant Eriksen links Arda Turan hasn't been mentioned much? Does he look likely for a Premiership move? If so is there any interest anymore in him or is the fee too high

Believable10 Unbelievable36

''TTSF''

This is almost a carbon copy of a common question which seems to pop up every other day or thereabouts, i've just typed Arda Turan into the search function and found what one of the Ed's mentioned from 3 days ago, so i'd press you to work out what the acronym means at the top of my comment and follow it through until you find what was mentioned.

I think Germany looks most likely at the moment for Arda, either Schalke or Bayern I believe, but who knows until the transfer market reopens?

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds have already stated a number of times he is likely to move it will be 20 € is he worth that kind of money and what's his best position?
Daniellambretta {Ed052's Note - he would be worth that money although he does pick up, like DS, a few injuries. Left wing or left CAM}

Agree0 Disagree0

No need to cry lads, don't have the search function on my phone unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Alex 4 mate I'm with you on this one, TTSF is a ball ache arrogant response

How likely is it to sign Callum Mchmanaham and Scott Sinclair?

Believable21 Unbelievable56

Why would anyone want McManaman and Sinclair. Were supposed to be looking forward. Man City made the mistake of signing Sinclair. Not going to lie. He was stupid enough to go and he's just messed up he's career. There both good players but not for Liverpool. If Liverpool did sign them it would stop the progress of likes of Raheem Sterling, Suso etc. So I would hope we don't sign either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't rate Sinclair, no end product, as for McManaman, match of the day fever, he's a mid table player at best

Agree0 Disagree0

McManaman yes. Sinclair no but we are favourites sadly

Agree0 Disagree0

Callum Mchmanaham is flavor of the month. I really don't think he would improve LFC enough to be worth it.
I'd be happy with Sinclair if Downing got sold to accommodate him. It's definitely an upgrade in personal. Sell for 8/10M bring in Sinclair for 4/5M. On half the wages, 3/4 years younger, few quid more in the kitty. Makes sense to me anyway. If he was brought in as a squad player alongside Downing, I'd be very underwhelmed.

Eds, with Real Madrid actively pushing to sign Gareth Bale & certain to have a new manager, do you see Liverpool going for Ozil, Di Maria or other fringe players if they become surplus?

Wezard of Aus {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable10 Unbelievable70

Yeah because those 2 world class players are going to not want champions league football!

GET REAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozil, Di Maria fringe? No wonder people call our fans deluded.

Ed's, Have we made a bid or even an enquiry about Illori of sporting lisbon? Decent 20 yr old CB + he is born in England.4 mil should be fair deal if he joinsus. {Ed002's Note - I understand there is interest but any suggestion of a bid is wide of the mark.}

eds is there any recent news about the movement of the quartet Wellington Nem, Adryan, Ademilson and Jetro Willems? {Ed002's Note - Not involving Liverpool at all.}

Has Wellington Nem still got him £17. 5 minimum fee release clause to foreign clubs?

afternoon eds, fellow reds, any chance of Fernando Amorebieta, I believe he's available on a bosman this summer. {Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely.}

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Pretty sure he has signed for Fulham.

The agent of Saint-Etienne's Kurt Zouma has dropped the heaviest hint yet suggesting the highly rated defender could be on the move to Liverpool this summer.

A good prospect, already broken in to Etiennes first team.

According to IBTimes Kurt Zouma the gifted 18yr defender of St. Etienne is interested in a move to LFC. His manager has said as much.

Believable44 Unbelievable11

Hopefully. He will be an amazing talent

De Vrij has added a year to his terms taking him to 2015, while Clasie is now tied down until 2016.

Morning Ed's,
Balague saying Barcelona selling Villa for 12e and Spurs Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in signing him! Personally I don't think 12e at 30 years of age is a clever buy : (
Any truth in this? no doubt he'd score goals but 12e with potentially no sell on value is a mistake unless i'm missing some intricate part of any deal struck? maybe based on appearances/trophies etc?
Cheers,
Prendergel {Ed002's Note - Spurs are pressing for Villa.}

Believable8 Unbelievable28

Villa is finished, his injuries got too him not the same player anylonger. he 32 we be stupid to be interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing they have done it ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you are correct in stating his age and the fee. The only thing I can add is that Villas game has never been about speed really but at 31 and injuries creeping in there are far better options out there for that money

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh I don't always think it should be about sell on fees and recoupment of money paid out, it should be about what that player can bring to your club in the time you have him. If he adds goals and that brings success, then that's worth the fee.

My worry with someone like Villa is that at the age, would he be able to cut it in the prem? Take Morientes, Shevchenko as a couple of examples, class players, but looked like fish out of water and never recaptured their full performace from previous respective leagues.

That said, Villa is a great player and we could only benefit from having him, but hasn't he had injury niggles in recent seasons? i'd certainly love to see him in our red shirt, but as addition to compliment the likes of Suarez (hopefully not as a replacement) and Sturridge and certainly not at their expense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Robin van Persie is 30 in two months

Agree0 Disagree0

How old is Gerrard?

LeTrench

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa still top quality

Agree0 Disagree0

None of you are a good businessman.

Are Liverpool a team here to buy and sell players? are we a market?

We need to win the league. Other team have invested 100* to win the league. You buy donkey, you buy the ref whatever just buy the object who can make you win the league. Villa is a player who can have a lethal strike unlike our existing players whose conversion rate is very poor.

He is injury prone is another issue but please don't talk about resell value. Once we are on top we will attract better players and at good rate.

I think we need a striker whose conversion rate is good. We need to kill a match even if we have only 1 or 3 striking opportunities. Too many draws.

@ Arv

There are several points that you have failed to pick up on. Liverpool don't have an endless pot for transfers like others, so as a result need to invest in younger players who have a sell on value.

David Villa, whilst a proven goalscorer, does not represent good value for the limited funds that we have. Injuries would prohibit appearances but the high wages would still have to be paid.

Allied to that, Villa has never shown any desire to play outside Spain before. so would his commitment now be absolute or would he only be here for the cash?

Finally, look at the conversion rates of Sturridge and Suarez this season and then please reconsider the comment that you made about our current players.

I think it might be obvious Arv that JWH will not be putting you in charge of recruiting anytime soon mate.

Hi Ed002, The ongoing saga that is Tom Ince seems to have been offered a contract extension. Do you think that's the sign for LFC to lay off now or do you still think that something may happen this summer?

BaldyRed {Ed002's Note - I think he still might be considered by Liverpool.}

Believable9 Unbelievable20

Not good enough woundnt get in the team
We need much better than this to challenge
For champions league place

Agree0 Disagree0

Contract extension is more than likey so the club can demand a higher transfer fee
