Hey eds, just wondering, if ngog is sold, do you think Morgan will be used as 3rd choice striker? Also, with PCY going to lille, who would we be targeting if ngog leaves, any ideas eds? Thanks in advance
YoungRed {Ed002's Note - Kuyt will be available as a striker as well. It is not known who else interests the club right now.}

The situation with Rodallega at Wigan is being monitored and so is Odemwingie's contract negotiations at West Brom. Park Chu-Young was offered to Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle and all three declined so he has now given up his hope of playing in the EPL for the foreseeable future.

Why talk BS liverpool havn't declined newcastle were offered PCY and declined and obemwingie has already signed a new contract just pointing out the FACTS to you

wildRED {Ed002's Note - An issue has come to light over Park Chu Young which makes a loan of the player a far more viable option than a sale at this point in time.}

Hi eds sorry if you thought that post was to you i was replying to the poster above...but thanks for the reply anyway and this site is the buisness love it keep up the excellent work
wildRED

If any player was to be promoted to 3rd choice striker it would be N'Goo, given his seniority both in age and stature? Morgan is still very, very young, he would not last 5 minutes in the league simply because his physical development has not finished.

Eds could sum up the gary cahill situation please, lokking at other posts u suddenly seem really positive, and betting has been suspended everywhere

thanks
DAVIS93 {Ed002's Note - I have explained everything I know. There have been discussions over Cahill with Bolton. We will see what happens. I know nothing of the betting situation.}

Genuine interest in Shawcross as well

Been reading bensmiths comments on twitter re Cahill not coming to us.

Gary Cahill will be signing. I have spoken with the father of a senior first team player who states that the deal was virtually done. I was told this on Saturday but was advised it was all down to how much value Ngog held within the deal. Would be great to have the deal done before we go to the Emirates on Saturday...not necessarily to have him play but as a bit of a psychological ploy against Wenger and his boys who appear to be in the kind of turmoil we were in this time last year.

Ben Smith is a journalist at the end of the day he just tweets what he thinks just to get publicity/people listening to him. LFC like to keep their cards close to their chest so until something is announced maybe tomorrow don't expect a thing. Myself I think Cahill would be a great signing, better than Dann in my eyes but who knows, only KK and the board

I don't think Arsenals problems are nearly as bad as ours were a year ago.
CR

18 Aug 2011 23:04:09
So with ben smith claiming that we're not after cahill, is he trustworthy? You eds have been right with every lfc transfer so far this summer Thanks {Ed002's Note - I have no idea. We know that Bolton are in discussions over Cahill.}

18 Aug 2011 22:59:29
Hi ED's just heard a rumour of someone who works at the kirby academy, that the striker liverpool want to replace ngog is wolves irish hitman kevin doyle, plus cahill is on the verge of signing If so then I would deffo be happy with KK signings Y..N..W..A. Nice 1 ED'S. DHH L20 kopite

18 Aug 2011 22:44:47
I was at a community awards dinner this evening and just got in. One of the people at are table is well connected at LFC and he also said Liverpool are not after Cahill

18 Aug 2011 22:29:05
Evening Ed002, just wondering if you can confirm Liverpool are interested in Benayoun as Macca suggested ?Also their is no serious interest in meriles(spelling) from Chelsea right? Thanks in advance Ed, you seem to have great inside knowledge particularly with Chelsea.

Conor {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest in Benayoun but Chelsea would be willing to let him move on. Again, I am not convinced by reported interest in Meireles.}

I would just like to wish El Zhar all the best at Levante just didnt have that little bit of class to come on at Liverpool, but he could hit a ball remember his goal in carling cup. He gave his all when he worn the shirt Good Luck Nabil.

This guy was usless so happy his gone

What are you on he did sweet f*** all for us good riddance and he done us for 1.5 million aswell
DCG

YNWA Nabil.. hes just young and a gr8 player wish u all the bestyyy

You are Nabil el Zhar and i claim my £5

Yeah he was as good as eric meijer, and did as much lol

I can't believe anyone could think ElZhar had any positive qualities.He was one of Benitez's batty blunders and how he was on a 5 figure a week contract is a mystery.I don't wish him ill but he was plainly useless.

He wore our red shirt and all you guys slagging him is not right

He is a 24-25 year old wonderkid haha....utter rubbish he was....never good enough for us and people wishing him good luck are bullheads.

Nice one lad, knew someone on here would appreciate me

All the best,
Nabil El Zhar

I was just wondering what the last head count of staff is at melwood, there seems to be so so many that all use this site - and its also interesting that DC involves cleaners through to car park attendents in his business dealings must be amazing to work in such a cooperative environment

DC does not speak to any of the staff at Melwood except for the dish washer.

I can confirm that the women who washes the kit at melwood lives next to my old mum. She has confirmed that Damien Commelli said 'good morning' to her the other day as did apparently King Kenny, from this i can deduce that we are pretty close to signing Messi

18 Aug 2011 22:24:07
El Zhar to leave Lfc - from LFCTV

How is it working to our advantage to unload this guy? Obviously getting him off the wage bill is beneficial but at a cost of £1.5m (according to some) to buy him out?
If the following assumptions are correct, it doesn't seem to make any sense.

1. He earns in the region of 1.5m a year
2. He was only contracted until 2012

If these are correct, well then it stands to reason that we could have just let his contract expire and still be no worse off, or loan him out/sell him while providing some form of subsidy to whoever takes him.

Am I getting the wrong end of the stick here or is this just another case of the club being wasteful with money yet again? {Ed002's Note - There will be no more insurance costs, there will be no bonuses to pay and the club will be able to quantify what costs they are going to incur.}

18 Aug 2011 22:20:38
scott dann not even in the birmingham squad. possibly some movement soon, although not featuring in the europa league could mean arsenal are sniffing round too

Arsenal all the way I think, why not play him if he was coming to us (he wouldn't be cup tied as were not in europe) and he could get his match fitness up

Ed maybe you can clarify this but my understanding of the European rules would mean that if Arsenal go through to the Champins League and Dann had played for Brum against Nacional he (Dann) would still have been eligible for Arsenal in CL. Think I remember the scenario right from when we bought Luis and the questions his purchase caused around this. I know slightly different but think I remember along the same lines?
thanks again eds
Scouserjohnny {Ed002's Note - You are thinking of something else, but each Club can name one player who has plyed previously in European competition under certain circumstances. It is not worth going in to detail now.}

18 Aug 2011 22:19:38
Hi eds class site. So with Cahill close to signing do you see this as our last signing or a replacement for Ngog? Or do you see a young Adam Morgan step up? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know - wait until he signs first.}

18 Aug 2011 22:18:56
ben smith from the times has just said wer not after cahill? what d f*** is goin on IS HE OR ISNT HE ed
fagan18

I say why don't we just wait an see instead of asking same questions over an over

Eds, I've just tried to get a price on Gary Cahill joining Liverpool but it seems impossible - markets are closed it seems....do you think this means something?

18 Aug 2011 22:12:23
ed will gary cahill sign tomorrow?? :)
thanks
great site btw {Ed002's Note - We don't know. What appears to have been confirmed is that discussions are in hand with Bolton over Cahill.}

Thanks for clearing it up, has the possible fee been realsed {Ed002's Note - No.}

Could other clubs e.g arsenal also discuss with boton of availability of cahill at same time or is he looking more destined for us know? {Ed002's Note - We don't know - we just know of discussions about Cahill.}

18 Aug 2011 22:06:40
LFC Transfer Speculations
alantkayll Alan Kayll
No deal for Cahill in place at LFC as of tonight. Non whatsoever.(from facebook)
JJ blackpool

If it comes from Alan Kayall, take it as gospel. He has some very good sources. {Ed002's Note - Which is in line with what we said.}

Ah, faceache, the football bible

18 Aug 2011 21:55:33
All betting is suspended on Cahill DUBRED

18 Aug 2011 21:40:20
ed no reds interest in a cheap defoe?or maybe marin? {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

18 Aug 2011 21:39:54
i really shouldnt say this but i wash dishes n d melwood kitchen and i heard strong rumours dat cahill will arrive very shortly

I cut the grass at melwood as i am ground staff and expect cahill and mata to sign before the deadline day.

I would believe that you work in the kitchen judging by your English - but I still don't beieve your story. He won't be arriving at Afield before (if at all) it's announced that Bolton have accepted an offer.
Fox

I paint the goal posts lol ur both full of it lol

The seats at the job centre are pretty comfy. You're SACKED :D

KJ

I clean up the BS at melwood looks like i'll be busy in the kitchen and grounds tomorrow lol

You two should do more work or you'll get the boot theres plenty of people out there that can wash dishes or cut grass so look busy mofo

I season the food at melwood as i am ground pepper.

I am the anfield stadium...i can confirm..100% true.

Am sure we can afford a dish washer at melwood

We can afford one, he is on minimum wage and he doesnt know anything, took four goes to pass his basic food hygeine.

Fox I can't believe your giving someone grief over their spelling when you can't even spell ANFIELD properly

You would think with all the money we have spent we could afford a dishwasher and have this gusy go back and teach english as the schools.

More deadwood we must move on before buying in players :) {Ed002's Note - I suspect the decision has now been made over a number of fringe players. El Zhar is all but gone, Degen is likely to be next. The Aquilani situation may start accelerating with interest from a fourth club. THings seem to be moving - as expected.}

"this gusy go back and teach english as the schools". I think you should go with him too mate or apply for his job in the kitchen.

How many people do melwood imploy
according to the amount of posts
a couple of hundred thousand at least

18 Aug 2011 21:19:10
Ed just been listening to Talksport and Kelly just said that it looks likely Cahill will be at Anfield imminently. Have I missed something?

Tried looking but can't find anything. {Ed002's Note - I suspect there will be some good news tomorrow.}

Ed002's that sounds very promising given it has come from yourself, what is your thinking behind this if you don't mind me asking?? really hoping we sign him

{Ed002's Note - It is the word on the street - apparently.}

Are we saying an announcement of a fee being agreed or Medical etc?

Thanks as always

Jamie {Ed002's Note - We don't know but I am beginning to hope it is Arsenal he will move to.}

Ed002 what's your take on the rumour? Do you reckon that they are true? Scouserseb {Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure efforts are being made to figure some thing out.}

Why do you want him to go to arsenal? {Ed002's Note - Because of the nuisance questions.}

So he's on the verge of joining arsenal? Or did I misunderstand you? Thanks {Ed002's Note - You misunderstood.}

Ed, Why are you hoping he moves to Arsenal?

Thanks
Jamie {Ed002's Note - Because of the dumb questions.}

It's actually Tim Cahill going to anfield tomorrow on a guided tour with his family to show them what a full trophy cabinet looks like......
Ultra Red

I posted a about 2 weeks ago regarding some info re left back and centre back. one of my staff's brother works in the press dept of lfc and he gives a few small bits. ed's can confirm that i stated i had been told left back and centre back would sign- scott dann was the name mentioned he has stated tonight that there should be some anouncement regarding fee for cb within next 24/48 hours but no name-sorry prefer dann as he is a red andin the mould of carra but wouldnt mind cahill

Oh sorry about that ed Just got excited:) thanks for the info though Scouserseb

So ed002 is saying cahill is signing for liverpool tomorrow...great news {Ed002's Note - Or something like that.}

Lol @BenSmith from the Times saying we have no interest in cahill and we aren't pursuing him.

And is N'gog of to Bolton??

Come on ed002 be professional You're here to respond to our stupid questions and surely ya can understand that we get a bit excited when it looks like we gonna sign a quality CB when its obvious we need 1 badly. What makes this site the best and the site we keep comin back to is the inside info you eds seem to have and the way you eds interact wit us. But hey overall you the man and definitely my favourite chelsea fan;)

Smarubbish {Ed002's Note - I do notice out quickly you all get to an orgasmic frenzy. I would not want to be near Bootle when anything important is announced.}

Edd002 are we going to find you hanging from the rafters tomorrow with all the same puerile people asking the same questions

"Smarubbish" here again ed. Pardon us for having some passion. Slag us all you like. You go back to your plastic flags.

Smash/it

Ed just been listening to Talksport and Kelly just said that it looks likely Cahill will be at Anfield imminently. Have I missed something?

Tried looking but can't find anything. {Ed002's Note - I suspect there will be some good news tomorrow.}

Where has this news come from about cahill? Is there any truth in the rumours that he is at anfield or even close to signing?

Ed is a bid likely tomorrow then? {Ed002's Note - I rather think we may be past that point already.}

Ed what kind of good news? Do you know something we dont?;) closing in on cahill? Scouserseb {Ed002's Note - I suspect there will be movement out confirmed tomorrow and perhaps a decision on where Cahill's future lies.}

Ed02 are you trying to hint that we may be closing in on cahill??

cheers
Daryll {Ed002's Note - It is looking more likely than Dann right now.}

Hi ed002 have we agreed a fee,whats the good news
manythanks lee {Ed002's Note - I don't know if there is anything agreed, but the feeling is that there will soon be news on Cahill.}

Hi Ed, just to confirm do you think that a deal has been made? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it it yet.}

Ed I like to confirm how many times were you asked on the same subject with just different questions ha ha

Corkpoolred

ps thanks for the info

And let's all ask the edd the same question so we don't forget he said there might be news tomorrow oh what's that your don't understand well there's a defender that might be sighning for Liverpool or might go to the gooners

Tomorrow never comes

18 Aug 2011 20:39:20
Hi Eds, just wondered if you could clear a few things up for me, what will happen to the likes of Amoo, Mendy and Darby, are they still considered good prospects or are they likely to be loaned out or sold off? I know Darby is out at Rochdale at the moment, but surely he can't be considered first team material, especially with Kelly and Flanno ahead of him, so will he be let go of next summer? Thanks, great site by the way, keep it up {Ed002's Note - I suspect Amoo wants out as it looks pretty clear there is no future. The others I know nothing of.}

Hasn't darby been loaned out already :)

Nabil El Zhar has joined Spanish side Levante. This not a rumor, it's confirmed; 100%

Jack D.

Benitez actually played that goon in some games

Their scouts must need guide dogs
redtilimdead

Good 30k a week for that

Yes true he has signed a 2 yrs contract with levante, good luck to him.

18 Aug 2011 19:49:52
Liverpool have terminated El Zhar's contract and he has now signed for levante.Any truth in this ed's?Would be great if it was true.
AL {Ed002's Note - Refer to earlier posts.}

Cheers ed 002, searched and sorted.
Keep up the trojan work.LOVE the site
AL

It's true, Levante has put it on their website.

Hopefully first of many Next up mr poulsen please {Ed002's Note - Next up will likely be Degen.}

What are the wages for El Zhar and Degen? thanks
Wheeler92 {Ed002's Note - About £30k and a little over £60k.}

18 Aug 2011 19:22:23
Just got some inside info: DC has'nt given up on Eden Hazard and a big money move may just happen on deadline day.

Marko

Inside info yes course u have get a life and stop watching the smurfs its turning yer brain to mush

Is this another mata,aguero rumour?

Oh yeah on deadline day Why are all these mega deals gonna be done on deadline day? If he's for sale and we could afford him why wouldn't we sign him right now?

Oh my God, we're signing Mata AND Aguero on deadline day? Can't wait

I agree this is nonsense but why is everyone so quick to disbelieve a big signing towards the end of the window?? nobody knows what will happen

Because seldom happen.usually bull

Carroll/Don't want to say his name in Jan, still don't believe it though

18 Aug 2011 19:13:27
Hi Ed, is there any truth in the article from L'equipe mentioning El-Zhar going to Levante? {Ed002's Note - Probably. I suspect that you will see a number of players moving between today and the end of the window as I am told Liverpool are pressing ahead with exit plans for several players. It has been suggested that El Zhar has been bought out of his contract by the club, making him a free agent and the club about £1.5M poorer. I understand that some sort of deal may have also been done with Degen, but I am not sure what.}

It's been confirmed by Levante on their site:

El Levante U.D. alcanza un principio de acuerdo con Nabil El Zhar por las dos praximas temporadas

Basically meaning that Levante have agreed a two season deal in principle with Nabil. From the rest of the article it looks like we paid off the remainder of his contract so that he was a free agent.

Alex

Any1 want to pay 1.5 mill to sit about and do f*** all, thought not

18 Aug 2011 19:02:47
warnock is wanting degan and poulson ed you heard any think on this . qpr have cash to spend and warnock thinks he can get these 2 on the cheap . lol he can have them for me . there could be a chance for young youth out on loan too {Ed002's Note - AP in Switzerland have confirmed interest in Degen but much will depend on what Liverpool do about letting him go, perhaps on a free to allow him to get a signing on fee. If not, wages may be an issue. I don't know of any interest in Poulsen from QPR.}

18 Aug 2011 18:16:28
Hi eds, do you think that any deal for Cahill is being held up cos we play bolton on the 27th , or would it just be a case of we can't play him in that fixture
Simon from beds {Ed002's Note - I doubt it is a consideration at all. Bolton may ask as a courtesy not to play him and I suspect Liverpool would agree. It won't be causing any hold up.}

If you are suggesting that Bolton can ask Liverpool to not play Cahill once he is a LFC player, this would go completely against PL rules. Only a loan player can be restricted. {Ed002's Note - Please read the post again, it is not a contractual restriction. What was said: "Bolton may ask as a courtesy ..."}

Im not trying to be pedantic, but they are actually not even allowed to ask. This does obviously go on, but the laws restrict any collaboration like that. I am an avid reader of this site and love your patience with some fantastical rumours. {Ed002's Note - I am well aware of the rules but I can give you a few examples where it has happened in the past - hence my careful wording.}

Ah ok. Fair enough. Thanks for your hard work. I hear a few rumours from time to time but had not posted until tonight. Will keep you posted. PS {Ed002's Note - Please do, and thanks.}

18 Aug 2011 18:03:27
Personally i dont think benayoun is any better than Joe Cole. So why do we want another expense on the wage bill

O yes he is fact, benny all the way for me walk on walk on

Benayoun is far better than cole
5 gold stars

Disagree. however dont want either.think we mayve had best outve benny

Yossi's better but needs 2 b 4 right price. He's not earth-shattering but better. Also Cole needs moved as he is on chelski type salary still

18 Aug 2011 18:02:28
ed whose intrested in aquaman now {Ed002's Note - Fiorentina still maintain their interest in taking the want away midfielder. Juventus are still deciding whether to make an offer that won't be rejected. AC Milan, who are reported to have dropped their interest, but certainly have not and are still interested. Finally, there is now interest from Palermo.}

But don't Milan want him for the princely fee of around 5 mill? He's worth much more than that, even if he's not worth the, nearly, 20 mill we spent on him. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool are after 10M euros - the best offer they have had is 7M euros but agreed a loan to buy deal at 10M euros with Fiorentina chipping in 1M euros toward his wages. The stumbling block was the drop in his wages when he joined permanently next year. I still expect it to be resolved any time now.}

This ridiculous saga is goin to the wire, but as long as it gets sorted in this window i will be happy. carnt be doin with this sh.t rollin over to next window, enough's enough.

18 Aug 2011 18:02:13
Italian radio are reporting a deal for Albert will be made over the weekend. Ed2 do you know which club. {Ed002's Note - Fiorentina, Palermo, Juventus or AC Milan are the likely candidates.}

18 Aug 2011 17:55:10
Ed any chance of us going in for honda if we sold aquilani and meireles? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it now.}

18 Aug 2011 17:54:56
Hey Ed's just another question i saw an rumour that an bid of 22 mil p has been rejected from us for higuain , have use heard of this and if so is there any truth in the bid because if its true than surely comolli would go back in with an improved bid ? thanks {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any bid for Higuain from Liverpool.}

Oh Higuain I thought we were still after Aguero come on pal start living in reality instead of your dream world

18 Aug 2011 17:01:01
hi eds who do you think would be a good back up striker cos my source syas that we haven't signed a back up striker cos we haven't sold ngog yet {Ed002's Note - For me it would have been Park Chu Young but the opportunity is slipping away as Lille are pressing for an answer. A loan may be a viable option as he deals with National Service issues as well.}

Who are your sources?

Everyone knows we have not signed a a backup striker or it would have been announced?

Any chanceve sturridge/miereles swop? {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

18 Aug 2011 17:07:02
deal done with bolton for cahill 14mil plus stearling on loan trust this source?
lfck

Sterling to young to go out on loan Get back onto your sauce I mean 'source' and tell him/her that info :P

Corkpoolred

Stirling is to young to go on loan

Sterling said on twitter the following 'Every 1 nothing has been said 2 me about a bolton deal i know as much as you but atm im 2 young 2 go anywhere im 16 youve gotta be 17'. Which means you makeing up s@#t. {Ed002's Note - The source is an article in The S*n. It is incorrect. Sadly my saying that has led to enormous amounts of abuse of me today by Liverpool supporting S*n readers.}

Apparantley sterling cant go on loan.

This is what he said on his twitter..

Every 1 nothing has been said 2 me about a bolton deal i know as much as you but atm im 2 young 2 go anywhere im 16 youve gotta be 17.

You don't trust this source enough to leave a Name?

Im sorry Ed. i think you must have written something incorrectly.. Liverpool supporting Spam readers?
If youve recieved abuse from them then i think it only fair the rest of us with brains should be allowed to abuse them back How thick are these ppl?
Justice for the 96 always
ItsNotRocketScience {Ed002's Note - There has been loads of it today - all saying their "source" says Sterling is going on loan. The source is The S*n.}

What source is that then

Might as well replace the * with the number key with which it resides upon. Probably a more accurate description, anyway.

It's shocking how many people cannot spell a lad's last name when it's all over the page they're typing on, too. Sterling, Sterling, STERLING.

And while I'm on the soapbox, Meireles, Aquilani, Carroll (two R's, two L's), Suarez (not Saurez), etc. Gah, I understand what you mean, and maybe I'm being nitpicky, but this is the club you support, and the players you support.

Can't wait to see the STIRLING banners on the Kop, obviously. :)

McSnugglesOG

Liverpool supporting S*n readers? Isn't that a misnmomer? {Ed002's Note - Seemingly not - but I guess many were just kids.}

I can see the thought process here....

"Not sure if it will be Stirling or Spearing to go out on loan. Sod it.... I'll just put STEARLING

Kk know's what he's doing with sterling and that's all that matters.

I read masses of sci-fi so I guess you mean our mad scientists at Melwood have blended Raheem Stirling with Jay Spearing and Bolton will be getting 2 players in 1

Ive been looking everyday at the sky transfer specials betting and we hav been favourite to sign cahill for a good week now until today wer the cahill special has gone... means he must be in the bag

I think your wrong Ed I read it on the BBC website I don't buy the s..n they probably did the same..

Ed we do not read that piece of rubbish paper, they cant even get things right sterling is to young to go out on loan

Fair enough LFC supporters hating the s*n because of what they said of the hillsborough disaster but how many LFC fans read the times, the daily mail, watch sky sports. They are all owned by Rupert Murdoch, when we were in the S*&t last year who did we blame the owners. I think it's a bit naive to abuse people that most of them can't even remember that fateful day just for buying a paper (even if it is a bag of s*%t) Blame that T**t Murdoch and boycott all his business But I doubt that is going to happen God I love a good rant {Ed001's Note - I boycott Murdoch's empire personally. I don't have Sky, I don't read any of his papers. It is easy done as they are full of lies and aimed at people with an IQ of double figures or less.}

At last Ed001 someone on my wavelength {Ed001's Note - I just don't know how anyone can justify putting any more money in Murdoch's pocket, not any more. It was bad enough that he owned the S*n, but now it can no longer even be claimed as a one off or a rogue editor, clearly it is a policy set down by the man himself that his publications lie and cheat and use nefarious methods to obtain information. There is no thought for who gets hurt, only for how much it will make them. Clearly you have completely different morals to me if you can justify buying a paper or paying for a channel that he owns.}

I personally agree with you I buy the star, have virgin TV (even though the sky sports money goes to the bigot anyway), I was just saying that most people don't know where their money is going. Ie having sky, people quoting journalists from the times. {Ed001's Note - I don't read a newspaper meself, I don't see the point, not when they so blatantly disregard the news bit from their name.}

You could read the Daily Sport, at least there's some footy reports and t**s on every page LOL {Ed001's Note - I see enough tits editing the sites.....}

18 Aug 2011 16:47:55
Hey Ed's just wanted to ask would use know if its true that comolli went to spain to look at some players and if so could it be possible for them looking at diego forlan and godin? {Ed009's Note - I can't seem to find out any reliable information regarding what he was actually doing over there. I would say it is doubtful it was for either of those players, especially Forlan.}

Maybe kaka ;)
king henry {Ed002's Note - Perhaps a new home for Pacheco.}

I wish it was kaka , maybe next season when we hopefully have champions league football under our belt :)

Pacheco said on his twitter account that his future will be decided in a couple of days. So Ed seems to have it spot on I would guess

Right, i live very near liverpools traning ground, and when my dad walks the dog past there everyday in order to try and catch a glimpse of any players etc, and today as he walked past a car pulled up to the training ground and none other than cahill was seen getting out and entering liverpools training facilities, make of it what you will, but i think they'll unveil his signing very soon.

Now I'm not saying that your lying but I am very surprised that the word Melwood was ommited from your post. P.S. The car would have been driven into Melwood before the player got out.

Ha Ha the famous "Make of it what you will,".

Stop making stuff up

As opposed to one of the previous posters, I am saying you are lying.
Fox

Why do people talk such sh**e ? Can't these stupid posts be stopped from going on the site ?

Why would the car pull up?

For the Gates of Melwood to open?

Was Cahill an unexpected Visitor?

Really when you're making up this litany of BS you really need to do better

Think about it logically what you say makes no sense

Why do ppl like u waste ur time writing when no one is evr going to believe a word u say?

Idiot.shut up, i guess this drivel will continue right up to deadline day

Drivel m8 the fact is kk wants shawcross a bid of 8 million has tonight been turned down. but lfc have been told to up there offer to 12 mill then talks can begin. the only stumbling block is the scum have first option on shawcross

If your dag has seen it then I'd believe you. Also, what dag ya have ?

I dont understand how we are dealing with Bolton over Gary Cahill. Why dont we give them Ngog on a permenant and Wilson on a season long loan? ( aswell as 10-12 million) Wilson gains prem experience and bolton get a CB to replace cahill?
Anyone agree? {Ed009's Note - Players are very rarely directly swapped with another club, because if one move breaks down due to wages and such like, they both do. More likely is that we receive the 4 million for N'Gog, then pay the full price for Cahill.}

Yeah hopefully we sell them ngog, then loan them wilson and then pay full price for cahill only trouble is arsenal want him and have money from fabregas deal and possibly nasri if he goes

Thanks for getting back to me on that Ed. 9. I just thought it would be a sensible idea.

18 Aug 2011 15:42:38
Eds, just seen the following "Bolton news reporting that David Ngog will be allowed to leave when Ryad Boudabouz completes a 6 million pound move to Anfield" (paraphrasing the news feed of another site, sorry, hope you don't think I'm cheating...) What do you make of the report?

TheKaiser {Ed002's Note - I have not seen the report so cannot comment, sorry.}

Who the hell is Boudabouz and why do you keep on passing these kinds of bull? Another midfielder? haha

Would love to see him here- looks like a quality player

He is described as an attacking midfielder though that's all I can say factually.How good he is I've no idea but he is only 21.However I honestly can't see why we'd need another midfield player.

Thekaiser - can you post a link to this report please? Would be interested to see where it comes from, and if there is any truth to it or to your post ;)

Anonymous slag at the top, it is for those reasons that I thought I'd bring the rumour to this site. Since this is the first actual rumour I've posted I don't understand the charge of how "I keep posting this bull." But nevermind, I must think we need another midfielder obviously...

TheKaiser

Or you people can learn to use google. I typed in "Bolton news ryad boudebouz" and there were three links to the story. So if the eds don't want to link to a competitor's newsfeed just post this.

TheKaiser

In my experience local news is far more reliable than national rags. I wouldn't be surprised if this has legs.

Boudebouz is not a 'midfielder' he is an attacker who can play on either flank. Exactly what Liverpool need positionally, whether he is good enough remains to be seen.

It does say that but, what you got to ask why has bolton got hold of our transfer list? be happy if it happened he's one hell of a player. CB and Striker next then i think we will have a good solid squad.

Surely an attacker who plays on either flank is no different from an attacking midfielder?

18 Aug 2011 15:31:55
i heard from a close friend and fellow liverpool supporter that kk and sc were at the man city game on monday. as we havent got them for a few weeks i cant imagine that they were checking out the competition. do u know anything about this eds. if so can you have a guess if they were scouting somebody. sorry if this has been posted recently havent been on for a while

cheers

peter {Ed002's Note - Nothing is known.}

End of last season kk said he enjoyed watching swansea play throughout the season... so he may have just been there to enjoy a good old game of footy or not :)

If he was there to spot players, he might as well have spotted two wingers for either club City and Swansea who played really well and we are both linked to them. The expensive and obvious choice was Adam Johnson and the other cheaper choice was Swansea's Nathan Dyer.
You take your pick on who he was watching but im defo sure, if he even was there, it was one or both of those 2....

If you're thinking about a bid for Johnson I'd forget it.He won't be leaving and we won't be buying.

Obviously looking at Aguero who is nailed on to join us in January. :-)

Hi Eds

I know one of you have very strong links in france, i forget which ed it is now, however i was wondering if anyone was looking at yaya sanogo from auxerre or vincent aboubakar from valenciennes, as the both of these look like, good, young strikers...

Cheers Eds

Ray {Ed002's Note - They are both youth players as far as I know and I am not even sure Sanoga has even appeared for Auxerre. I went to the game on Sunday and I am pretty sure he was not playing then.}

I dont think either have played so far this season, but aboubakar im sure has the number 9 shirt, and sanogo, broke his leg last year, both 18/19 - look strong powerful prospects, was just a thought..ps who was you supporting, marseille or auxerre? plenty of goals nonetheless..

Cheers

Ray

Just read on internet a report that we are monitoring Celtic starlet James Forrest (Also of interest to Tottenham). At 19 he would be a good buy for the future. KK seems to be putting some excellent youngsters together for the LFC future. Heard anything Eds?
vrcomp
Y.N.W.A. {Ed002's Note - I have not heard anything, sorry.}

Forrest is just 20 and described as a forward.He is quite small at five feet five and just over ten stone and whether Celtic would sell,we would buy,as well as if he's good enough to play in the EPL is anyone's guess.

James Forrest is a unbelievably good dribbler and looks to be a fantastic player in a couple of years. I can only wish KK signed him.
RHI

OMG I have played with James and watched him play.He is an incredible player.Celtic will not sell him.If Kenny manages to pull this off....Then we have just pull off the next Zidane

WTH or HTW Simon Kjaer has signed for Roma for just 10mil.....and what the hell are we doing.....

Sometimes this English fever is really getting on the nerves....

I hope we sign Dann or Cahill.....but I would still say Kjaer would have been much better option...

REDforever {Ed002's Note - Kjaer was always going to move to Italy unless a major German team moved for him. The situation with Roma was whether or not it would be a loan. I have spent the summer telling you this - regardless of the vegetables who have found it appropriate to write constant abuse toward me every time the subject came up. The player had no interest in a move to England and Liverpool had no interest in the player.}

Well said Ed. Some people are delusional. I can't believe we put a bid in for Messi just after his birth. KK/DC OUT ..... Bring back Woy

Let me tell you, we don't need Simon Kjær. As a Danish national I can assure you we are better off without him. As much as I rate him and his skills for the future, it has also been the concern of many football fans in Denmark for the last couple of years, that for some reason Agger and Kjær do not play very well together.
On paper it is a dream partnership. But for some reason it just doesn't work. I guess you can compare it a little bit with the problems England had a few years back when it was thought that Stevie and Lampard could play side by side for England. That too showed, that some players maybe just "neutralize" each others skills.
Hard for me to explain what I mean - hope you get my point ;-)

/DanishKopite

It's utterly incomprehensible to some fans why Liverpool aren't interested in every player available and why every player available isn't interested in coming to Liverpool. I don't envy the task, Ed02, of trying to explain this to people.

TheKaiser

There is Reason why wolfsburg got rid of him and they got relegated/ in a relegation battle but my german footy is lacklustre and I may have made that up lol

Ed 002 wins by a 1st round KO

ED002 I remeber you posting all the time that this guy (Kjaer) would not be coming to Liverpool?

I also remember seeing him play a few times and in truth he's not very good.

We are well clear of him

18 Aug 2011 14:23:40
Mata is due in London very very soon, I thought it would be this week but perhaps it will be the following. I think he could be about to sign for Chelsea which is a big shame I think.

Also, Danny Wilson is supposedly on his way to Blackburn in a loan move.

Adam

I am reliably informed no bid has been placed for Cahill,obviously a target and talks have been on going re:N'gog and Cahill may have been discussed among the two clubs but don't hold your breath expecting Cahill to be announced soon

Ed002. With Sturridge it seems to you who i have no reason to disbelive you when you say that he wont becoming here. What do you think Chelsea's plans are for him now with having 4 top forwards and another with the potential to be a world beater in Luakua? Do you Sturridge will be sold or stay put? Jonson6 {Ed002's Note - Chelsea have no intention of selling Sturridge and at least two of the forwards are expected to leave. If the kid asks for a transfer it will be granted.}

Also sturridge has said he would like to stay and fight for a place in the first team, his attitude is pretty good when it comes down to it, thats another reason he wont leave

18 Aug 2011 13:16:52
I think liverpool play a bit weating game. as arsenal want Dan or Chahil. so to avoid a Biding War wait to see whice one Arsenal go for then its going to be Crazy money offer. what do you think Ed? {Ed002's Note - I think Mertesacker is still an option for both sides. At present, perhaps Dann will lose out.}

I think we should go for Chris Samba instead.

Why would we wait to see which one the gooners go for? We are LFC, we play 2nd Fiddle to no one

Emos1892

Because Arsenal are mean Fiddlers?

Strong rumours coming from twitter (unreliable) that a fee has been agreed for Cahill. Not sure on it myself but just thought i would let you know.

There's a rumour on Twitter that I'm dating Beyonce I started it myself.That's how much you can rely on Twitter for footie rumours

18 Aug 2011 13:06:04
Caughtoffside suggesting that we may be able to do a deal with Chelsea that involves Meireles going their way with Sturridge coming the other way. Good business me thinks as i rate Sturridge as a good prospect..any chance ?

Handy Carroll {Ed002's Note - It seems most unlikely.}

You can't deny that it would suit both teams to the ground. {Ed002's Note - Why, Chelsea have no need or intention to sell Sturridge?}

Surely if that was ever gonna happen it was when Torres was sold and we had the option of £50mil or £40 mil + Sturridge. Seemed like a no brainer to me, but we obviously didn't want him. After his goal every other game with Bolton second half of the season, I reckon his price would be way more than £10mil now, and certainly more than the rumoured £12mil we'd take for Meireles.

Thoughts Eds? Was it right we turned down Sturridge?

JimK {Ed002's Note - I would guess with hindsight it was an error.}

I think Ed002 who is a Chelski fan is looking at this similar to the way some of the over Ed's look at LFC - slightly biased - she will never admit it but with Chelsea who knows everything is possible

YNWA jns {Ed002's Note - The bias being what?}

WE MISSED THE BOAT WITH STURRIDGE. WE COULD HAVE HAD HIM AS PART OF THE DEAL WHEN CHELSKI WERE DESPERATE TO SIGN TORRES AT ANY PRICE

18 Aug 2011 13:04:24
Fulham in talks with Twente over a possile move for Bryan Ruiz, Surely this guy is worth a bid and surely he would be willing to play for us over Fulham

SteLFC

Play is the optimum word mate. He would play second fiddle to AC so lots of 'bench warming' I suspect if he came to us.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Liverpool striker David Ngog is close to a £4m move to Bolton. The deal is not linked to the Reds' attempts to sign defender Gary Cahill from the Reebok.

From BBC

18 Aug 2011 12:03:53
Hi,

I have been told from some jurno mates that Cahill would welcome a move to liverpool as long as his in the starting lineup every week and can agree personal terms. He does not fancy London

Raj

Oh wow all he demands is big wages and a guaranteed 1st team place Sounds reasonable to me

18 Aug 2011 12:02:45
Hey Ed

See we are liked with Ryad Boudebouz, winger come striker when we sell N'Gog I think this will be a great addition to the team if this comes off. Can play on both wings but favors the right very skillful and tricky player just what we need I think. {Ed002's Note - But there is no link or interest in Boudebouz at this time.}

18 Aug 2011 11:26:31
ssn just saying in transfer talk chelsea may bid 13 mil for meireles,and bid from lfc for cahill and sterling on loan may be on also quoted similar in times and mail

Sterling cannot go on loan as he is too young more borrocks being put out {Ed002's Note - I expect it was meant to say Spearing.}

Sterling on loan this season would be too early Imo, still needs another year of development then maybe to be loaned out

Ska-oop

18 Aug 2011 11:13:49
Raheem sterling just tweeted saying that he does not know anything about a bilton loan move and says he is too young for a loan deal you have to be 17 and he is just 16

D690 {Ed002's Note - I suspect that it was meant to be Spearing and not Sterling.}

How do you mistake spelling sterling instead of spearing?? i think he was just full of sh*ep

No it was actually Raheem. So no it was actually correct. Some people on here are far too quick to judge {Ed002's Note - I think your source amy be incorrect I am afraid.}

It is sterling it says on bbc gossip {Ed002's Note - Gotta be true then. I think you will find it should say Spearing.}

I heard it on SSN and it did definately say raheem sterling, it said his full name, although I'm guessing the reporters have got it wrong since he can't go on loan until he is 17. {Ed002's Note - Exactly, this is an example of the original source making an error and everyone picking up on it.}

I can confirm that it was sterling. how can it be spearing when they signed reo-coker. it is sterling ed. you think you know everything. to negative for me. {Ed002's Note - Legally Sterling is not able to go on loan before he signs a pro contract at 17. I understand even he has said this. What you have done is read the article in The S*n. To much of a cretin for me.}

Ed002 you are proving yourselve to be a bit of a **** here. Do you follow Raheem on twitter? Obviously not. His account has been verified as him. He tweeted what the original poster stated. Raheem himself has said he cannot go on loan. What isn't there to get? {Ed002's Note - Your issue with me is what? I have done nothing but say it will not be Sterling and he is too young. Read what I have written more carefully or have someone explain it to you very slowly.}

18 Aug 2011 11:11:58
Ed, is it fair to say the potential deals for cahill and ngog arent linked? Player Exchanges seem very rare in todays market. Of course relations between the two clubs could improve with ngogs sale but i get the feeling the deals wil be seperate from one another. Also, how likely isit do you think we may move for moussa sissoko given raul and aqua look like they're on their way out?

Keep up the good work
Amz {Ed002's Note - The deal for Cahill/Ngog could be linked but could equally be kept separate so that if one falls through the other could still happen. Sissoko is a possibility and I have already explained Comolli's view on the player. It will mean moving soon due to interest from elsewhere.}

Have we intrest in Moussa Sissoko genuinly?. And Have we realy put this or some kind of bid in for Cahill? please answer Eds? {Ed002's Note - There seems no point in me repeating myself.}

What im asking is is there a real offer or are you responding to speculation?. {Ed002's Note - We know that there is interest in Cahill - you need to read the other posts. I have explained the position with Toulouse's Moussa Sissoko over and over again, but here goes. Sissoko is attracting interest from from Lyon, Roma, Genoa, Juventus, Liverpool and probably Napoli. Arsenal and Milan's early interest appears on the wane. Damien Comolli has already let Sissoko's agent know that Liverpool see his man as the ideal long-term replacement for Steven Gerrard. Right now Roma and Lyon appear to have the edge over Liverpool.}

Just wondering as in Cahill's contract there's a clause that means part of his transfer goes back to his old club. Surely a player exchange with Ngog with bypass that giving them more money and less to pay back? I am just assuming as I don't know much about all that legal stuff with contract {Ed002's Note - You assumption is incorrect. Any exchange of players are valued as part of the deal and it is that value which is used to determine third party payments.}

18 Aug 2011 10:57:22
Regarding Bolton playing hardball over Cahill and saying there's been no firm offers I believe them and think it's the other way round and clubs are playing hardball with Bolton. Knowing they have to sell in this window to get anywhere near what Cahill is worth There's quite a few clubs that would like Cahill but will not show their hand and all the time the clock is running down and the closer it gets to the deadline The more willing and desperate Bolton will be to do a deal.
Liverpool are setting up good relations with Bolton through the Ngog deal, so they will be in pole position when push comes to shove on Cahill. "Just like our relations with the Toon" ;)
Great site Eds by way bit Addictive though :)
kidmillions

Surely knowing that LFC & AFC need a CB couldn't BWFC hang onto Cahill until January and then sell to the highest bidder if they don't get what they want now.
KernowRed {Ed002's Note - It is not how the transfer system works. By then Arsenal will have bought Mertesacker and Liverpool Shawcross or Dann, leaving Chelsea to pick up Cahill on the cheap.}

Or free, cause he can talk to clubs in January about joining in the summer and sign a pre contract agreement then (I think).

Cuts both ways though - could still potentially get into a bidding war with the Apse, but I'm guessing it'll be Dann to them and hopefully Cahill for us.

JimK {Ed002's Note - Cahill could only sign a pre-contract agreement in January with a club playing overseas. If there is a push for Cahill, it will be these next few days.}

Good relations with Bolton will mean nothing the second we make a bid for Cahill.They'll try to squeeze every penny they can out of us.

18 Aug 2011 10:56:22
Everyone knows Bolton have no money, this means clubs wont bid for Cahill until the end of the window and Bolton will have to accept the highest bid. {Ed002's Note - That is not a good approach unless there is only one club interested. There are several who are or could be interested in Cahill. If Alex leaves Chelsea then a bid is not out of the question.}

18 Aug 2011 10:51:14
Ed- who do you think head winning the race for gary cahill liverpool or arsenal {Ed002's Note - Liverpool seem better placed right now.}

18 Aug 2011 10:48:12
The Ngog to Bolton for 4m deal isn't dead - there seems to be no rush from Liverpools end to push this through as they have several scenarios, 1 involving Ngog remaining as back up - Liverpool are also open to the idea of replacing Ngog with another young and unproven and not the experienced striker that had been rumoured about earlier in the window. The Ngog bid could become a reverse bid for Cahill that would involve Ngog (to the agreed value of 4m) going the other way - it is even suggested that the deals could be agreed seperately with Ngog going first and Cahill arriving nearer the end of the window if Bolton push for cash only. Liverpool have happily talked over the valuation for Ngog and are aware that Bolton have a set asking price for Cahill - if Liverpool or anyone else match it then the deal is on. Expect this to run to the end of the window and the two to agree a deal somewhere in the middle of each others expectations. Liverpool are happy to let this run but will address the issue if Arsenal's interest becomes anything more than it is at the moment.

So basically, we might buy Cahill- but we might not, we might sell Ngog- or we might not.
Gotcha.

Yep, the deal isn't as advanced as you would like to think it is. I'm trying to pour some cold water on the rumours that things are close - they aren't. Things happen fast in football but at the minute its early stages and there are several options all within this current proposed deal.

18 Aug 2011 10:38:08
Ed, watched Udinese V arsenal once again thought Isla was pretty useful I think we should keep him in mind for jan poss next season if in cl what do you think.
Regards
take care {Ed002's Note - There is no interest from Liverpool. If Johnson leaves then perhaps there could be interest - but I doubt it.}

18 Aug 2011 09:41:38
Eds Any chance LFC may go for valbuena of marsaile? {Ed002's Note - Valbuena is for sale and there is interest from several clubs, with Arsenal reportedly in the mix - but that is simply due to a much earlier enquiry via Jose Anigo that was pushed back at the time. There is speculation in France that Arsenal will make an approach as a replacement for Nasri and this has led to today's flurry of activity. There is no interest from Liverpool.}

18 Aug 2011 09:40:27
Maybe I have missed something here. Owen Coyle says no-one has made a bid for Cahill. This is because Bolton are playing hardball. Potentially the hardball approach could mean Cahill leaving for nothing next season which is bad business. Cahill is aware of our interest and Bolton's approach becomes a little cheesed off and is left with 1 year on his contract. He does not want to get injured in his final year to scupper any move so his heart is not truly in it.

Secondly they finally sell with a few days of transfer market left open not giving them time to get a replacement again not good business sense

Thirdly and I am dreaming here. We get Cahill for £10m and give them Ngog, Kyriagos, Poulson, El Zhar Ok bit extreme. {Ed002's Note - Bolton bought Cahill's replacement in January - David Wheater. Coyle is simply looking for the best deal he can get and there is nothing wrong in that.}

There is something wromg in that Bolton should just sell Cahill to Liverpool

The best deal he can get is not when he sees Cahill leave for Stones and Peanuts ala Free.

He surely knows that Arsenal are NO LONGER interested in Cahill and are looking at Per Merte and Dann, you ED's say that Arsenal are going to for one of Dann or Cahill, i know they are going to Dann and Dann only, they forgot about Cahill sometime back, its jus the press trying to bring their name in the mix with ours, otherwise, Cahill knows that its only us interested in him, he fancies the move and guess what??. He will sign between Wednesday and Friday next week and he will take up the no.6 jersey from Aurelio... {Ed002's Note - The Eds did not say anything of the sort.}

Nobody will touch ElZhar with a barge pole and Poulson is on the same level.Why would Bolton want them? The big Greek is at the end of his playing career so those three as bargaining chips are pretty poor.

El Zhar is off to spain isnt he

18 Aug 2011 09:25:47
ed- do you think we will sign cahill. i think he is an amzing cb and could get into the england team like downing when @ liverpool {Ed002's Note - I expect a CB to arrive and Cahill seems the most likely right now. Nut there are alternates.}

18 Aug 2011 09:16:21
Neil Warnocks interest in Joe Cole is back on,once the take-over at QPR is complete,maybe a loan or permanent move,Cole to link up with Scott Parker at Loftus Road.

He is great at a team like that. taarabt there aswell

I think it will be a loan deal,going 50-50 on his wages.

Get him gone on a free so he can get a big signing on fee for taking a massive paycut - no way the hoops can pay anything like 90k with less than 20,000 fans.

Hi Ed, i just seen on the BBC Rumours page that we have offered Ngog permanently and Sterling on loan as part of the deal for Cahill. I'm not saying i believe this rumour but do you think now would be the right time to send Sterling out on loan or do you think it would benifit him more staying with the reserves this season seeing they're in the NextGen Series?

Big Pappa Pump ST {Ed002's Note - A loan would do him much more good if he gets game time. My fear he is too young for it to happen meaningfully and I would keep in the reserves. Spearing seems more likely to me.}

The "source" for that story on the BBC site is "the Scum" though, so theres probably maybe 0.5% truth in it and a healthy proportion of BS

Sorry I didn't even realise that was the source of the rumour. I just have a quick glance through that in the morning just to get me out of doing a bit of work lol that's ok now that I know that you can just disregard the whole rumour.

Lahiru Ekanayake {Ed002's Note - I don't want to get sucked in to any financial issues but assume around 15M euros.}

If Liverpool want Sissoko, they will have to move quickly as Roma are one of the many clubs interested in him.

Hi Eds, there is talk in this mornings press about a 10mill plus Ngog with Raheem Sterling on loan to Bolton for a year to capture signing of Cahill - do you know of any truth is these rumours? Thanks {Ed009's Note - As far as I can tell Bolton are refusing to deal with anyone wanting to negotiate regarding Cahill right now. If we were to make a straight, large bid though, that could well be different.}

Great are they bidding just to give us money

18 Aug 2011 05:28:11
Cahill deal is close and the outside bet for the new forward is Nicolas Anelka as guaranteed more game time at the Reds and also really enjoyed his time when at the club.

He turned down thechance to return in January

How could we offer him more game time? Carroll and Suarez are gonna start most games either one or the other or together

Anelka was mooted in the deal for Torres but didnt he decline the offer?

The Anelka bit is total rubbish. It won't happen and we all know that.

BooDaBooze

If we'd have kept Anelka when we had him on loan and ditched the useless Heskey history might have been different but it's too late now

Hi ed first time writing
Which players are liverpool most likely to sign by the end of this transfer window? Thanks
Btw loving this site, great job {Ed009's Note - I can only foresee the signing of a centre back. I would have said that Dann and Cahill are the most likely in that position but Bolton are currently refusing to deal with any clubs over the latter. I imagine the situation will be resolved in time.}

Read today that if Dann plays in Birmingham Europea league game hen he would be ineligable to play for Arsenal in Europe. Not usre on this as couldn;t Torress move up from Liverpools Europa League to pay for Chelsea in Chsampions league last year, I suppose only if Arsenal fail to qualify for the knockout stages and drop into Europa will Dann not be eligible. Any clarifcation? {Ed002's Note - If Arsenal drop in to the Europa League and Birmingham are still in it, then he is ineligible.}

Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have been alterted to the latest situation at Wigan which sees their star striker, Hugo Rodallega continuing to refuse to sign a new contract to remain at the club. The Colombian international is in the final year of his current deal and reports suggest that he does not want to stay at Wigan as he seeks a move to a big club.

Rodallega was left on the bench in Wigan’s opening game of the season against Norwich, suggesting that Wigan could be freezing him out of the first team in a bid to get him to sign a new contract with them.

Liverpool are planning a £10m offer plus midfielder Christian Poulsen in return for Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross.???
from Cleansheets

They apparently wanted £14 million in cash to begin with for Shawcross. If we threaten to throw Poulsen in with the deal, they'll probably want £20 million in cash. Anyway, he's the last centre half I'd pick to sign if it was up to me. I don't rate that Mertesacker, but i'd still take him before Shawcross.

How can you push unbelievable, when its ritten on LFC homepage?? Are you not fans or what..

"How can you push unbelievable, when its ritten on LFC homepage? Are you not fans or what.."

Seriously do we have the stupidest fans in the world? You have clearly seen this bit of news in the Gossip section of the website, where it says that this isn't actual news just gossip from papers and that. You are a joke and an embarrassment. Sort it out you muppet

Hi eds we are in for sebastian coates and diago godin
deal is for 25/30 mill both young and very good,they have been turned on to us by suarez, and the powers that be want to keep him happy they are afraid if he has a great season he wiil be bombarded
with offers ,so this is the part of the cementing in.if this happens the C/B position will be covered for the next 5 years also no more signings that would be it.
so get out your mats light a candle and pray because
this would the true begining.THE LATIN connection
gracias y buenas noches.

As much as I'd love to see them in liverpool shirts, but defintely that is no't the reason they will sign, as KK is the example of a person who goes by the saying "no player is bigger than the club".
SudaneseReD

Is that 25/30 mil all up cos I'm Uruguayan Liverpool supprter n I'd love it but Coates isn't worth more than 10 at the most

This sounds like your own personal wish converted into a rumour, mate.

Cahill to sign on the last day of the transfer window, Bolton are going to get the maximum possible fee. Whether Ngog is involved in the transfer depends on if we can replace him on the same day.

"To sign on the last day of the transfer window" Why? If they're ready to sell why wait till then?

Post on normal rumours please , I didn't spend time writing this for it not to be discussed by the fans ect just telling u what my source has told me ... Kd is comtanplaiting wether to go in for put of favour Barcelona star macherano , it may be a shock return for macherano as the likes of fabregas joining he doesn't seem him getting much game time. The only position he may get is cover at centre back which he doesn't really to be playing at. He would maybe like a return to liverpool as when he one the champions league he dedicated to the Liverpool fans and said he still supported the club. The deal is reportedly around 12 million but kenny dalglish has to first get rid of one of two centre mids rual m. Or possibly aqualani. Rumours have it that Damien comolli is reportedly in Spain which could be an implication he is contacting Barcelona over a possible move. Also Liverpool are linked with one last attempt for both Gary Cahill and Ryan showcross with money plus player deals. If however they both get excepted kenny will have to pick one and one only with the wage budget reaching maximum the Fenway park group would like it to be.

Mascherano blasted Liverpool about the way he left the club. I highly doubt he would return

Dings

Hmm don't see the macherano deal happenin so yes you did waste your time but the Cahill and showcross is pretty sensible

Are you seeing planes? Is your name Tattoo? Because I swear to God, you're living on Fantasy Island

LFCmonkey

Can you repeat that please, what is kd comtanplaiting? does your mum know your still up?

Your source must be dreaming After what he has done last season (refusing to play to force a move to Barca; claimed homesickness) he's persona non grata SingRed

This has to be one of the greatest piles of horse manure that has been posted in a long time. Perhaps it has escaped your notice that Mascherano didn't leave the club on the best of terms, (do you remember him refusing to play against Man City?) The Champions League dedication was a superficial act to heal old wounds.

It may also have been past your bedtime but Mascherano was at centre half for Barcelona tonight and played well.

I don't think that he will be overly worried about his place especially when Fabregas (a different type of player) started on the bench. For these reasons I don't believe that L4 will be his next destination, mainly because his wife couldn't "settle" here first time around.

Looks like we'll be playing the trusty 1-8-1 formation if this is true, how many centre mids do we need :-)

Hmm, a guy who can barely spell or construct sentences has a contact who knows the personal thoughts of DC and KK (and is allowed to disclose them on a public rumours website). As the previous poster said, "horse Man Utd". Shouldn't be in Banter or Rumours. Maybe a new category called "Thick and Gullible"

Maybe you should spend a bit more time learning grammar rather than writing rubbish like you have

Not only would Masch not be welcomed back as other respondents have explained. I do not think he is the sort of player KK is looking for. I seem to remember seeing stats a couple of years ago that everywhere Masch has played the number of drawn matches goes up. He is a great breaker down of other teams moves but he lacks any real creative spark.

Maybe extra English next term.

His family hated it here, he won;t be coming back

Macca got anything interesting that you would like to share?

Why does everyone care what this Macca guy has to say?

He got one right once.

Once? Enrique, Dalgish coming back, Suarez, interest in Young, Friedel, Marveaux etc.. Macca is good to watch out for along with ED1 & 2.

Corkpoolred {Ed009's Note - cheers buddy... ;).}

Dont even get me started on the contradiction that is macca...he chats pure breeze. wat a woeful excuse for a man, he really is. And Ed002?? words couldnt express my pity for that fool *rolls eyes* and yes i will sign this post coz i am gangsta like that {Ed002's Note - It seems you forgot to sign your post. Eventually all of the vegetables like you will drift away to just anonymously abuse people at random across the internet.}

He's got all the transfers we've made this season right tbf. He maintained we were in for Enrique whilst most posters (not eds) were claiming different.

Evening eds, do you think there is a chance of a Rafa return, not specifically as a manager (not in the near future at least), as we've got KK, but in some kind of role in management/coaching? I remember him saying in an interview a few months ago that he would love a return to LFC.

Thanks eds, keep up the good work, the site is fantastic

maka

P.S. Are any of the eds in the fantasy football league? {Ed002's Note - I don't see Benitez making a return on the coaching staff. I don't know if the Eds have entered.}

Why on earth would we want someone as self-serving as Benitez back? In KK we have a man who places the club above all others, a man who would step down if he thought it would benefit LFC.

Benitez, on the other hand, ruined Liverpool, Inter Milan and arrived back on Merseyside, like an all-conquering hero, amid a contrived hail of cameras when he knew that Hodgson was struggling.

The guy had assembled a strong first XI, but rubbish squad and strangled the team with extremely negative tactics that the players hated. And yet some sections fete him as some sort of Messiah who will put all our ills right. Let's face it, Paco Ayesteran was the real tactical genius in the duo and would be a better addition to the staff.

Do you have any idea what you are saying?
Benitez ruined Liverpool? Are you sure?
Champions League Winner
2nd runner up in 08/09
With the amount of money he can spent from the 2 cowboy owners.
And the Youth System he built for us?
You gotta be kidding dude
I will certainly have him back when KK thinks it's time for him to leave

Benitez made his reputation by taking over Hector Cuper's Valencia side and claiming it as his own. What had he won prior to inheriting that side? NOTHING In fact he had been sacked twice before. He won La Liga when both Barcelona and Real Madrid were in transition.
He would have won the Premiership IF he had had the foresight to buy a decent backup striker to Torres. He didn't, and it cost the title. He repeated the trick the following season and it cost him his job. This was a deserved reaction considering the substandard dross that he brought to the club.
76 players (at a cost of £229m) and 90% of them were not good enough for our reserves. Degen? Voronin? El Zhar? Nunez? Kromkamp? Padelli? Dossena? Need I go on?
In fact KK is still trying to offload them and is not a stampede for their services. It was Benitez who sanctioned the wages that these extremely ordinary players are living off.
Moving on, Mourinho’s Inter won everything bar the boat race and Benitez inherited a highly successful side that played decent football. How did that work out for him? Has a team ever degenerated as quickly? Out before Christmas
Where is he now by the way? Sit down and stop looking through rose coloured glasses. It was easy to blame the cowboys for every single ill at Liver pool. While they were at the root of most problems, Benitez contributed his fair share as well and hid behind Waldorf and Statler. Time and again his political agenda held the club to ransom – BACK ME OR SACK ME
Would KK ever even consider doing this? Would Shankly or Paisley? My friend you have your own answer

Perhaps when you are looking through
