I do feel milner seem to fit like glove for LWB role. Love those tireless up and downs he did on thur. Very impressive workrate both offensive and defensive.

Hoola i agree mate but this is a supporter site and for people on here to disagree with something that's very good for the club in so many ways it just baffles me, flanno deserved the contract he got as he come back from an bad injury, he's a scouser plus he wants to be a one club player which shows his loyalty, maybe these trolls want the big star names who will cost a bomb in transfer and wage fees, and will not fit into the team and as soon as another club comes in for them they will move, but hey wtf they are big name players, all in all i'm made up he got a contract and he is with us until the club does not want him because he gives his all and they don't call him the scouse Cafu for nothing, just wait till he plays a full season i wonder if these trolls will pop their heads up from the key board and hold their hand up and say they were wrong, i doubt it very much

Ed2 reading online that lfc had scouts at the leverkusen game, watching Jonathan Tah apparently. Anything too confirm this?

Believable0 Unbelievable20

{Ed002's Note - Maybe they have Brendan Rodgers doing the scouting? This sounds like a couple of years ago when he was with Hamburg. With so many centre backs at Liverpool (Lovren, Sakho, Skrtel, Ilori, Wisdom and Matip arriving in addition to any youngsters coming through) it strikes me as unlikely that Liverpool would look to Tah who has only been with Leverkusen this season. I can think of other players who might be of more interest in the BL team, Bellarabi perhaps?}

18 Mar 2016 10:43:07
LFC should send their scouts on a one-way trip to Timbuktu for all the dross they seem to recommend.

Hey ed, can you think of any other Leverkuzen players we might be interested in? I love them as a team, but I am not a huge fan of Bellarabi, think he is overrated.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note - Karim Bellarabi is by far the most likely. Julian Brandt another possibility, as is left-back Wendell.}

18 Mar 2016 13:08:37
Bellarabi sounds plausible ed2 your probably right there. I agree on too many cbs, but if we moved on toure, skrtel and perhaps lovren would we then move for a cb. Maybe Sule would be the better option.

Agree0 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note - Toure will be going certainly DR but that still leaves six. The club has far too many players right now and I am not aware of plans to look for any further centre backs. If others were to go Sule strikes me as a very good option but Klipperty keeps looking at Subotic.}

18 Mar 2016 17:19:27
He still looking at Subotic even now Matip is done mate?

Agree0 Disagree7

{Ed002's Note - I don't expect anything to happen until Liverpool move on numerous players.}

18 Mar 2016 21:23:56
I think Toure, Ilori, Wisdom, Caulker will all be gone in the summer, leaving LFC with Sakho, Lovren, Skrtel and the arriving Matip. Perhaps Lloyd Jones and Jordan Williams will be send out on loan again.

I see no need for any further addition in this area as we do have Joe Gomez, and even Lucas to cover for any eventualities.

Ed Any idea if skrtel to be moved on (i hope)
And ed regarding the youth defenders, i regularly follow the youth setup but i havnt really been impressed with any of the youth centerbacks. (i might be wrong) but who the managment think is good enough for the first team next season?

Many thnx.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of plans to move Skrtel on this summer. Klopp does not seem to be looking at grabbing any of the kiddies for the first team right now.}

19 Mar 2016 10:37:26
Maybe if Newcastle stay up Benetiz will come in for Skrtel Ed, heres hoping.

Surely the looking reflects ambition and reality. We may be awash with centre backs but we're not awash with top 4 EPL level CBs. We are where we are in the league because that is the level of players we have in much of the squad and CB is a prime example of that. The worry to me is if no one wants to buy who we need to sell and finding players who will add that extra 5-6 places in the league. The challenge could be do we stick with what we have, knowing that everyone fancies themselves against our defence or try to have a clear and take a chance on some new faces.
