Hey eds heard from a few people who are reliable that Ings and Origi are probably going to leave the club on loan? any truth in this?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - Ings is very likely to have a loan to rebuild fitness, Origi is far too early to tell.}

19 Jun 2017 16:41:26
Both Should go out on Loan. That would leave us with Firmino, Sturridge and Solanke.

Cheers for the quick reply.

Ings makes sense to me - we already have 5 strikers with Solanke joining. Origi i think makes sense only if we bring in a top top striker who's expected to be first choice otherwise why?

It will be a kick in the teeth for origi to go on loan, if sturridge gets injured we will just have solanke on the bench.

If both Ings and Origi are going out on loan, then maybe a striker might just come in. Aubameyang maybe? One can dream though.

For me both Ings and Solanke need to be loaned otherwise they will hardly get any game time.

19 Jun 2017 19:12:13
Why would we loan Solanke out, he might as well have stayed at Chelsea for that?

Agree2 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note - Staying at Chelsea was not an option for Solanke.}

19 Jun 2017 19:17:49
@Jones

Why would Solanke leave Chelsea where he was set to go on loan to come here where he will then go on loan. Makes zero sense because it's not going to happen.

He will play u23s and be given a few chances in the first team, if he takes these opportunities he can stake a claim for the first team as well as in training.

We offered him this chance hence why he's joined .

Agree3 Disagree4

{Ed002's Note - Solanke was not "set to go on loan" at Chelsea. He was unable to stay at Chelsea and they let his contract run down.}

19 Jun 2017 19:24:18
Why was he unable to stay ed?

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - They let his contract run out.}

Ings should be sold. It is clear that he will never be a starter for LFC even prior to his injury. Just my opinion.

Solanke refused a new contract at Chelsea and let it run down!

Solanke won't get that many games as simple as that if we and he wants to develop properly and play a good level and amount of games he needs a loan.

Agree5 Disagree3

19 Jun 2017 20:43:24
Solanke can't play for our under 23's due to our transfer ban on signing academy players, is the right eds?

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed002's Note - Solanke is not an academy player.}

I feel for ings, never had a real chance to show what he's got. I'd like to see him getting match experience and if he has to go on loan to do yhat then good luck to him. Origi is too vital to the first team as things stand.

Can't see origi going anywhere. he got plenty of time on the field last year and did very well for a period. Klopp is an admirer and can imagine he would want origi to be around so he can coach and improve his game. Origi should be looking to push on this year he is still a young players and had bags full of talent.

Totally agree kopdog. Wouldn't it be great if he did really push on and score 20+ it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

{Ed025's Note - yes it is jonny, have you ever watched him?..bambi on ice comes to mind.. :)

Hopefully ings will get a shot to prove some fitness in pre season. I think he is perfect for our system. He's been injured for a long time but he seems like an honest lad from what I've heard about him and he could be very good. I'd like to see him stay and push studge for his place.

I'd let origi go on loan but only if he can get regular game time. For me he had a lot still to prove. He's a young lad with bags of potential and then seems to have a good run of games and then a bad run of games. maybe a season of regular games would give him a chance to prove he is good enough and build his confidence.

Eds surely we have signed 5 new players by now. Are you just not doing your jobs properly?

In all seriousness, is there any progress on outgoings? Surely need to balance the books with wages to bring in the quality we badly need to compete.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - nothing new today.}

19 Jun 2017 14:09:55
Sure feels like Snoogy Doogy days where everyone was hoping we signed at least Snoogy Doogy.

I know we have been linked with him in the past but are we still looking into Max Meyer from Schalke?

He is a quality Player with much potential and played for schalkes first team since he was 17 (around 4 years now) . Reports from Germany say that he could transfer this summer as he has one year left on his contract and he said "Im ready for the next step".

He looks like a good rotationplayer and as he has just one year left on his contract he won't be that expensive.

Btw first post here so please don't murder me. :D.

Spurs are looking at him mate!

Max Meyer would want some commitments on playing time that Liverpool are very unlikely to give, He is also a similar player to Coutinho.

Perhaps if Coutinho left we could give him the guarantees he needs. Otherwise it won't happen.

Schalke's sporting director Christian Heidel, stated that LFC will not be signing midfielder Max Meyer quite some time ago Crammie. Of course things change but this is unlikely as Schalke are looking to hold on to their young talents.

Seeing as my response has been down voted for some reason i'll just copy Ed002's last response on Meyer which could have been found by searching his name at the top.

{Ed002's Note - Max Meyer fits the bill of a young attacking midfield player which prompted previous bids from Chelsea (who would have sent him on loan for one season before integrating him in to the squad) and Fiorentina in 2014. Schalke 04 do not want to sell the player and made it clear to Spurs and Milan who were showing an interest this past summer that any move was unlikely - going as far as turning down an offer of €47M. The player has shared his desire to play in Spain with Real Madrid or Barcelona or to play in England. Other sides such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Arsenal watched him last season but had no real interest. If Liverpool were to lose Coutinho and/ or Firmino he could be a player they may look to but right now they haven't. Spurs remain very interested and he is refusing to extend his contract making a move possible this summer. }.
