Info from Jason Steele is that his good friend Butland has his eye set on a move to LFC.
Personally think it's unrealistic without moving on a couple of players and maybe hampering development for some. Would also be a very costly transfer to conclude as can't see Stoke wanting to let go easily if at all.

One unlike Southampton who accept players ain't retiring there and they are a mid table, occasional success team. Simple. Pay a good price and they will sell no problem.

butland has come out recently and said of his aspirations to play for a big club. Which is us obviously, as there is no bigger club than us. Would love to see us sign him and Ben Gibson.

we need a goalkeeper and at least 2 centre backs. I fail to see why a goalkeeper moving from Stoke to Liverpool is unrealistic.

Or we could give Ward a try? Haha just kidding! Why would we give our own talented keeper a go when we can spunk an ungodly amount on a decent (though nowhere near world class) keeper in Butland. Sounds terrific.
