Liverpool are set to cash in on Raheem Sterling (due to failed contract negotations) in January with Arsenal upping their original £8mil offer to £11mil plus Walcott. Liverpool have already got Sterlings replacement lined up with former player Tom Ince for just under £6mil from Blackpool. Positive Talks between Ian Ayre and Karl Oyston have already taken place. Brendan Rogers has been to 3 Blackpool matches personally to watch him. This is all solid information from a well respected source.

Brian Fantana

Hhaha!!!
stop chatting crap
huddz red
p.s sterling will sign, i believe the eds.

So they're giving us 11M plus Walcott for Sterling? That would be hilarious.

Kids should be banned from this website, but then again ive read worse from some so called grown men...
why do transfer windows make people act like Clowns... crikey!

YNWA
R2TB

Ur name sums it up really, fake journalist for fake journalism.

Sterling will sign a new contract

Surely if he doesn't sign then he will go wherever he wants for free? Is this not the case?

Wonder how much theyd give us for downing or hendo.... 10 mill and cardzola haha

I know your source too Mr. Johnny Walker -keeping drinking

What kind of a name is Brian Fantana anyway?

The Walcott deal would do me, but never the Ince deal rumour , we could buy another striker with the money. Nearly19

Complete rubbish. Plus replacement Ince, please. People we got rid of him for a reason.

FowlerGod.

I would definitly take 11 mil and walcott.

Brian Fantana is a character from Anchorman

Let the kid sterling go. Reason:
1 - clearly needs to improve his attitude, proof back chatting BR in training
2 - he's 17 and we are having issues sorting out his very first professional contract
3 - if he wants more than what LFC are willing to pay let him go

Put yourself in his situation. Your 17 yrs old just broken into the 1st team at LFC, surely you'd be chomping at the bit to sign, even if it was on the current £3k per week he earns now. I think this boy is going to be trouble no matter how good he is!

This kid is an accident waiting to happen. Swap for Walcott any day of the week.

02 Dec 2012 18:27:50
Raheem Sterling's advisors holding us to ransom is another example of player power. This kid has been welcomed with open arms by the Liverpool faithful and for him or his advisors to now treat the club with such contempt is beginning to put me off the lad. Let him leave just like the others and it won't be to long before he realises he has made a massive career mistake. When players sign for us they are treated like family not a commodity. Ignore the Mancs, they aren't,t showing interest they are just trying to make us panic. If he doesn't,t want to be here get shut for decent money and bring in players who do want to be here

People lay off the kid, he is only 17 and getting told by his (bad news) advisors, he will sign in my oppinion! Raheem if ya reading, keep being ya self kid

Just reminding people he;s been at the academy for years,ditched friends for a career at liverpool. we all say players need to earn their wage on the pitch,but we forget the sacrifice some youngsters make,most o his friends live in Lodon i believe. Couldn't say i wouldnt make some demands having ditched my mates at 13 to make a career. when cole gets loaed out extra cash for sterlong {Ed002's Note - No, Sterling was purchased from QPR.}

Sacrifices - what planet are you on. You make it sound like he's going off down the mine. Get a grip.

Just to share some light on this hes 18 on saturday he cant sign a contact intill then so shh intill that point

Hi, Eds!
Pastore? are we interested in him? Can we afford him?
and also how much money do you think Liverpool will have for transfers in January {Ed001's Note - I take it you mean the PSG Javier Pastore? If so, do you really think a club with the money to compete with Man City are going to sell one of their best players at a price we can afford?}

Perfectly said by Ed001. I dont think it can be explained any better.

BADGER

This just goes to show that there are stupid questions.

02 Dec 2012 11:38:53
Ed 01,I think Javier Pastore is not one of their best players presently .That is d main reason they want to sell him.He did not live up to the hype.Even Ancelloti criticized him publicly.Having said this,I do not think he will rediscover his form in the premier league which is apparently tougher than ligue 1 or seria A
Galaxy {Ed001's Note - he criticised him to get him to pick up his form, not to get rid of him.}

Would your source be the mirror by any chance

Hi eds, BR has said he wants to do early business in the press today. Do u think the deals are done Already or we will mess about like every window. I really hope we learn feom precious mistakes. I think it will be Sturridge as he can't get a game at Chelsea plus one other. Personally I hope for Bony as a realistic option and less likely is Walcott if we can negotiate now or for a summer deal. Let's not forget Borini is back in Jan and BR will play him. keep the faith {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware nothing is done yet, though the club always tries to get deals done as early as possible, it is not always possible though.}

I hope it's not Sturridge! Think Walcott is nailed on! and would really welcome him moving to us! I hav'nt seen much of Wilfred Bony so can't comment on him! But been told he's in the mold of Drogba so he must be good! But i think Walcott is going to sign in January!

Lets hope for Walcott, I'm with u on Sturridge but he has shown glimpses of class for england and chelski so he could prove all of us wrong! Michu right now has to be the player we need. Get that 10 mill ready for a summer bid

I agree on Sturridge, just not good enough. Same goes for Bent. As for "Barndoor" Borini,we are likely to score more goals with him out injured. Walcott would be great.

Borini is the classic false No. 9. He is not the one that puts the ball in the net but his movement allows others to do so.

Eds fellow reds , can big Andy play against us next week or is there a clause in the loan {Ed001's Note - players on loan are not allowed to play against their parent club's in the Prem.}

And the fact hes injured for 8 week would make a mute point anyway

Hes out for 6 to 8 weeks with a knee injury anyway

He's injured anyway, out until late January.

He wont be able to play anyhow unless he gets his doddery knee fixed. I believe he's out for 6 weeks?!

5uarezTimes

Look like big Andy is out for 8 weeks with knee injury so NO!.

He is injured anyway

He is out for two months with a injury anyway.

Aussiepom

Out for 8 weeks, did his knee mid-week.

And he's out for 6-8 weeks with a knee injury. Feel sorry for the big lad - hasn't had much luck recently has he?

Biscanifyoucan

Anyway, he's injured, so it's irrelevant. Shame, big Sam may now have to play someone who will score against us.

Cheers guys ,just keep Nolan quite then

Does anyone know if he's fit for the game ?

Carroll is out for 6-8 weeks so no sale in jan

I have a feeling selling Carroll is going to be more difficult than moving on Joe Cole.

He's out injured for at least 6 weeks anyway so he wont be playing even if he could

Carol is out injured until January anyway.

And he's injured anyway if you were paying attention yesterday...

Oh no, so Carroll will not be playing in Christmas season?

Jokes aside. I really hope Brendan recalls him back.

Do you agree with any of these Edd?

January Ins -

Sturridge (Loan with view to buy)
Bent (Loan with view to buy)
Gradel (£5m)

Summer Ins -

Cavani (£30m after his agent said he will speak to us and arsenal first)
Sturridge ( Buy clause will be taken up)
Butland ( £8m as reina will be sold to arsenal)

Walcott will sign a contract with arsenal. What do you think about the Sterling contract situation Edd? and any other transfer news?

{Ed002's Note - It is not possible to loan two more players and the enquiry made of Sturridge was with respect to buying him. Cavani's won't be joining Liverpool or Arsenal. Perhaps you should give the search engine a go with each of these names.}

01 Dec 2012 18:06:59
Hey eds, what do you make of the Max Gradel link, is there any real interest? I personally liked him at Leeds not seen him play since he left for France.
Thanks
Hutch {Ed002's Note - Shakhtar Donetsk have approached St Etienne regarding the availability of Max Gradel - I don't know of any confirmed interest from elsewhere.}

01 Dec 2012 17:14:28
Have Liverpool looked at Di Santo?

Do you like him as a player?

Better Ed002?

Thatracoonstolemybacon {Ed002's Note - No doubt many folks would see him as another "Chelsea reject" but Rodgers spent a year working with him. Much was expected of him but he has struggled to score up to now. I don't know of any interest from Liverpool but if he plans on letting his contract run down it means he can talk to foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract in January.}

I hardly think he will shift suarez.

Struggles to shine in a relegation-battling team. If we get him then we are going downhill.

Hi Eds, Do you know of any interest in players from Brazil at this moment in time ?
- Rookie {Ed002's Note - There was lots of effort made in scouting a fair number players from South America, particularly Brazil, in the early summer but I am not aware of any interest in any players from Brazil right now.}

01 Dec 2012 13:44:22
Ed02,please what is your opinion about Reina?Will or shoud he be sold?and when? thanks a lot(How I wish u were a liverpool fan....Ed02)
Galaxy {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any intention to sell Reina in January but I suspect the summer may be a time when he will look to see what options he has available. If there are any decent options I think he and Sparky could move then.}

Sorry, who's Sparky?

Sparky?? Who's that

Sparky????? {Ed002's Note -

Hello Eds,
firstly this has nothing to do with this post.
Would you say as of now Theo walcott, Tom Ince and Daniel Sturridge are our top jan targets ? {Ed002's Note - "Top" is a strange term to use. Interest has certainly been shown in Sturridge and Ince, and if Walcott becomes available there is a chance Liverpool may be interested. These have all been dealt with at length.}

Who the hell is sparky? {Ed002's Note - I thought you kids were hip to WonderDogSparky?}

Reina is a legend of Liverpool he should go nowhere

I guess its Suarez.. :)

I cant believe none of you know who sparky is o.0
Search twitter right now for WonderDogSparky -__-

Thomas Ince for £4 million. Deal is apparently done. Max Gradel from St Etienne and Theo Walcott will make up our January transfers.

Club also hoping to sign Jordi Clasie but unlikely to be done until the Summer as Henderson won't be leaving until then.

If that was true (i very much doubt it) that would have been a very poor transfer window.

FowlerGod.

I think that Walcott and Ince would be good signing but not that max fella, we already have sterling and assaidi to play wing roles.

Not that max fella, even though ive never seen him play but ill form an opinion anyway.

Why are you guys so looking forward to Hendo leaving? I think he will come good with us.

Ince or £4m??

Not a chance, at least double that.

Eds The Metro are reporting that we are in talks with Lyon over Gomis, we have apparently bid £8m according to French magazine Le 10 Sport.

Do you see this one happening or not as Lyon basically have all there players for sale according to various reports on the net.

BigD {Ed002's Note - Bafetimbi Gomis scored three goals last week and ikt was suggested that Liverpool had scouts at the game. I don't know if a bid has been made but, as you imply, Lyon are seeking to raise some funds.}

Don't believe the metro most of their stories are wrong regarding football

I hope not, he is a donkey, might as well sign Trevor Benjamin

LOL Gomis is the striker I bought for my LFC campaign in Fifa13... only one that I could get a sniff of so really wasn't by choice, however he's been decent so I would welcome this move fo=sho!!

Just heard that Liverpool might be signing jack butland as a replacement to riena who will be going arsenal.

I hope not i don't rate butland.

Just heard?
Mean you saw it on Soccer AM

Yeh Soccer Am u heard that

Rubbish, Reina will not be going to Arsenal.

Hey Eds, Whats the latest on Damiao? Any Liverpool interest?
Also, i see lots of names coming up but other than Bony, Huntelaar, Sturridge and Walcott which other strikers would we be looking at? None of these seem too prolific and a bit of a gamble and its clearly a position we need at least another 2 players in if we want to make an impact on the table. (I think Walcott would be a great signing, but cant see the perv letting him go).

Aubenyang and Damiao would do me.
Cheers! {Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, Arsenal, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan and Juventus. Lyon and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. January 2013 may be a likely time to move. The summer saw rejected bids from Spurs and PSG. Inter, Roma or Juventus may force a move - and these remain the most likely destinations right now. His club value him at an unrealistic 60M euro and don't want to sell. The player says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable.

The other striker Liverpool looked at was Hooper of Celtic and there are rumours of potential interest in Bent.}

01 Dec 2012 11:06:00
Eds do u think rodgers ismaking silly comments about sterlings contract in public and do u think sterling will sign a new contract? Also how long has he got left on his current contract ? Thnks
Basy {Ed002's Note - He has a while to run but that is not the point. He needs to sign a long term professional contract which he cannot do beore he is 18. My understanding is that Liverpool has not made any written proposal as of yet but I am sure that they will do at some point. I would expect him to sign a new deal but it is dumb that his representatives and Rodgers are bringing any of this in to the public domain.}

You'd expect the agent to use the media, but you'd hope the manager would know better. He needs to learn faster than he is doing. As do FSG.

01 Dec 2012 10:05:09
Apparently for January we are looking at buying Ince, buy/loan Sturridge, and loaning 2 others plus some young ones for the Academy. And that's all. Big buys & sells will be in the summer. RED LENIN. {Ed002's Note - It is not allowable to loan so many players - I have explained this on a number of occasions.}

I have also heard that there will be 5 loan players ed . They will all come on loan trial for 2 days . Like bootcamp and then they will narrow it down to one loan player like the rules state. LOL

It is if we get rid or sign some of the ones we already have on loan.

Your allowed 4 loans {Ed002's Note - Not at the same time.}

01 Dec 2012 09:57:31
hi eds
is there shown any interest in ron robert zieler from hannover 96 as an possible reina replacement ? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

He is a former ManU player.

pronin

01 Dec 2012 09:18:36
Liverpool have asked villa about a loan move for bent for 6 months villa said sale only qpr also interested

Tell them we'll buy him on condition they take Cole and Downing plus their respective wages as part of the deal.

I doubt he would be going to QPR,as Redknapp prefers his wife Sandra upfront than Bent! Prob do more running and scoring than him!

01 Dec 2012 08:57:43
Hi eds fellow reds just reading in the paper Liverpool have made contact about bony I hope we get him instead of overrated Sturidge he looks and seems to have more about him than Sturidge what's everybody's thoughts thanks guys DB {Ed002's Note - Wilfried Bony was of interest to Newcastle over the summer and has been a player Chelsea have been considering for a while. Right now there is varying degrees of interest from Aston Villa, QPR, Liverpool, Everton and a couple of German sides. It would not be a surprise to see interest from other teams, but that is all there is at this time. The player has said he would like to join Chelsea but anymove in January is by no means certain.}

Cant see chelsea wanting him as rafa desided not to sign him when he had a trial with us in 2007 {Ed002's Note - It is not his decision.}

Would that be The Metro 'paper'?

01 Dec 2012 08:50:44
Any interest in Erick lamela of As Roma? He's young, skilful and scores goals, may be expensive but a better buy in my opinion than Sturridge. Cheers...Pete {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath for a January move to Anfiel. He has horribly complex ownership issues and would need a work permit - that will perhaps not be as easy to get as some imagine. One English club were interested but stepped away because of these complexities.}

01 Dec 2012 03:45:50
Hi eds , tried to post a few times so hope this is of interest? I see that Clark n dalglish showed interest in you us balhandra the Moroccan playmaker.it also said his club were trying to tie him to a deal to prevent offers ....any news as he looks quality. {Ed002's Note - In the later half of last season Belhanda attracted confirmed interest from Malaga, Inter, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and PSG and there was unconfirmed recent interest from Roma and Spurs. The player said he wishes a move to Italy or to Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Italy or Germany was not possible (it seems he was not really sure where he wants to move to). A price of 30M euros was been quoted by Montpellier. I suspect that he will be staying in the South of France until at least the summer. I will caveat this by saying that if anything changes and there is interest in January, then that interest will come from Inter Milan who have baulked at the price being asked for their first choice midfielder - Paulinho.}

Belhanda reminds me of Taraabt..

01 Dec 2012 02:45:46
Eds is there any interest in Isco of Malaga? great young player {Ed002's Note - Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus and Spurs have shown an interest in Isco and he came close to a move to Dortmund, who may still follow up the matter. I suspect AC Milan might look to the player as well. There were rumours of interest from Real Madrid and Arsenal. Malaga want 21M euros but will likely accept 15M euros if they are forced to sell. I would suspect Juventus and Manchester City are best placed right now. A move in January is by no means certain.}
