Real Madrid today shortlisted Klopp as a possible replacement for Benitez. Klopp's advisors have indicated interest should this develop.

Klopp would be delighted to move to Madrid but is not prepared to rock the boat.

Interesting development but not surprising. And nothing to worry about at the moment.

Klopp said he wants to be at the club for a long time so I wouldn't worry, he as a long career at Liverpool first.

Klopp will leave for RM only if he can manage there for 10 yrs and Perez and Ronaldo and Ramos and few other egos and trouble makers to leave.

I think the last thing Klopp would want right now is a move to Madrid. Klopp isn't like a manager who likes world beaters given to him. The man lives and breathes being giant killers so to speak. He loves taking smaller teams and beating the larger teams.

Liverpool ( biggest club in football history ;) ) wasn't in the best shape when he took over and that's what he likes to work on, a project and bring that team to the top!

Madrid i doubt would take his fancy over Liverpool FC at the moment for sure!

Jurgen took time off until he was offered a 'project' that was right for him. His words.

Were klopps power play.

If he does it here it proves him as one of the greatest coaches on the planet, sure if he doesn't 'succeed' here (the premier league) he can still end up in the top jobs but if he gets the prem. There is no doubt about him, no doubt that Dortmund wasn't any fluke by having the right players at the right time when Munich weren't at there best.

He is a clever man.

Succeed here and he can cherry pick his own club, contract and any player he wants in or out!

Fail and there will still be a lot of places he will go to no doubt about that to be fair.

Im with ChiefScout on this.

{Ed001's Note - Klopp chose to take a break even knowing the Madrid job was up for grabs last summer, I very much doubt anything would happen there now.}

Exactly Ed001 mate. makes no sense to think he would walk from a potential job for life to an electioneering hotpot of madness.

Morning reds,

Weekend loan update, sorry its a day late.

Ojo came on as a 65th minute sub as wolves drew 0-0 with Mk dons.

Swindon stopped their horrible slump with a 4-0 win as chesterfield.
Vigouroux played the full 90 and Stewart was an unused sub.

Wisdom played the full 90 as Norwich drew 1-1 with Arsenal.
Looks like he's finally nailed down a starting spot.

Danny ward played the full 90 as Aberdeen won 3-1 to move back up to second.
McLaughlin wasn't in the squad, does anybody know if he was injured or if his loan ended?

Markovic came on for the final 10 as fenerbache won 2-0.

Wilson was an unused sub as Crewe won 1-0.

Yesil was an unused sub as Luzern lost 3-0.

Canos came on for the last 20 as Brentford drew 1-1 with Bolton.

Kent played the full 90 as Coventry drew 2-2 with Doncaster.
Kent seems to of really settled in there and is a regular in the starting 11.

All the rest are either injured or not in their match day squads.
I admit I need to do a bit of homework to see whos loans have ended now etc, it will all be refreshed by next week.

In relation to Liverpool its great to see us string some results together, I'm finally looking forward to us playing again.

I see people (mainly the media) talking of the title but for me this talk is very premature. let's get back in the top 4 first, get Christmas and the January window out the way. Then, if we are still within touching distance to talking can start.

He couldn't get a start or game time at Aberdeen yet he's come back to push for a start hahaha, maybe they recalled or Aberdeen cancelled so he could go someplace he might get some game time with any luck.
