Ed I have heard that Roma's keeped Doni will sign this weekend as Roma are going to pay him £1million compensation when he leaves and we have increased the wage we are offering him by a little so it evens out his drop in wages, you heard anything similar?

Cheers,
RedChris {Ed009's Note - the deal for Doni is back on, and will likely allow Gulacsi to move on loan to Hull.}

Plz post on rumour site, Ed, Would you rather A.Johnson or Juan Mata in a reds shirt next season and which of the two are more likely? {Ed009's Note - I would prefer Juan Mata, though both would be great signings. Mata is probably more likely, although if City buy the player, the chance of Johnson could well increase.}

Hello Eds,

Just wondering if McLeish was manager at Rangers when Adam was given a rough time, if so he surely wouldnt want to play under him? Or is it just rumour about McLeish willing to beat any offer from us?

John Wigan {Ed009's Note - The Villa thing is true and your first point is also true, this is one of the reasons he desperately doesn't want to join Villa at this moment, but Oyston knows he would rather play anywhere than in the Championship next season.}

Ed are the Suarez stories true ? Is it new or recycled ? Also what are the chances out of ten of Suarez leaving ? cheers mate really appreciate it {Ed009's Note - Suarez will not leave this summer, I am 100 per cent certain of that.}

Cissokho, Samba, Nzogbia, Downing, Adam and Cameron Jerome are all still targets, I'd be delighted with these signings and getting rid of poulsen aqua konchesky el zahr and meireles

A lot of fans would love to see arda turan at anfield. However, I haven't come across too many places where fans have mentioned some key facts about him, and these for me are the most concerning.

Arda Turan's injury record is not to encouraging, and that together with the fact that he would be coming from the Turkish league, which is not on par with the pace and physical demands of the English Premier League, and has not really ever produced players that have taken the EPL by storm; does not inspire too much confidence; for me personally.

However, he is young and no doubt a talented player, but a player that would perhaps have a higher risk rate in signing that others.

I wish some people would grow up. Liverpool pay over the odds for a player Carroll (Who I do like and i think has the potential to be a fantastic player, but worth £35m?) they get slammed, Liverpool refuse to meet sum valuations on sum players Downing, Wickham (£12m is a bit much for this guy) they get slammed talk about lose, lose situation.

At the end of the day if some of you actually knew what you were talking about and not talking out of your a** you would be managing Liverpool not on a rumours page complaining about us not paying ridiculous money for a player.

I personally only want players at Liverpool that want to come here, if a player would prefer to play for ManU or Sunderland then they are welcome to them and good riddance.

I personally would have given my right bu****k to have been given the chance for play for Liverpool and I only want players at the club that would do the same. And before anyone says Wickham is a big fan, he might have been but he wanted first team football and Liverpool would not match the Sunderland price. Thankgod gone are the days that we pay over the odds on players.

Ed I can't believe I'm going to ask this but sorry in advance to my following question; Out of then (I Know) what's the chances of Diego signing?

is the 7 million for diego a done deal or is it wiki and twitter sh1te?

Macca what happened to Adam and Downing deals "Adam - Friday and Downing - Next Week"?

You know nothing like everyone else anymore - we are going back to the Liverpool Way.

01 Jul 2011 21:51:04
suarez will move to barca he came to liverpool hoping to play with torres and was under that impression, he doesnt even know who andy carrol is. KK will not want to sell but with his agent being the brother of barca boss it will be hard to stop this deal going through. Liverpool to make sure a good replacement (aguero) is in place to replace suarez. I just want a player who is proud to wear the red of Liverpool and not another player who uses this great club as a spring board for "greater things" tired of players not respecting their contracts and dissrespecting supporters who worship the floor they stand on should have bought Wickham liverpool thru and thru would have worn the shirt with pride Please Publish this it is not trash

Hey Eds, Addictive site
I know Barcelona is like the ultimate lure and just too much to admire from far away, but u think there's anything to worry with Suarez's statements saying that if Guardiola wanted him, he'd make a beeline??
I know not probably this year(tho weirder things have happened in football), but even next season, if Baca came in with a bid, as cum as they are, is it such bad luck for us ..........
Please lemme know, coz after a long time, a player with the right heart is playing for the mighty red shirt

Also, is it true that we are going relaxed on the 2nd winger option as Hendersen can play in the right wing for us?? {Ed002's Note - Please read the other posts for the answers about Suarez. As for Henderson, I am not sure where he will be played.}

01 Jul 2011 21:35:56
Joe Cole will not be going to spurs, they won't pay out for him as they have other targets {Ed002's Note - I am not even convinced he will leave Liverpool.}

01 Jul 2011 21:28:50
eds is it true that we are linked with Ganso. He would be a quality addition to the squad and a real hit in the near future, please reply on rumours page. {Ed002's Note - No there is no interest or link to Ganso. He has his heart set on AC Milan, but Milan have a non-EU quota issue if they are to sign him. The quota's can be increased by borrowing from other teams in exchange for players on loan - which seems to me like it should not be allowed, but it is. Chelsea are keeping a watching brief as they continue their long term interest. Inter Milan and Barcelona have also shown an interest in the player.}

Liverpool Football Club have confirmed three of the club's young starlets have put pen to paper on new deals.

Adam Morgan, Tyrell Belford and Stephen Sama have all committed their futures to the Reds by signing new contracts.

Striker Morgan, currently on international duty at the U17s World Cup with England, has inked his first professional contract that will keep him at Anfield until June 2014.

Belford is also with the Young Lions in Mexico and the goalkeeper has signed a deal with the Reds that runs until June 2012.

Meanwhile, Sama has put pen to paper on a new extended contract until June 2014.

Do u know the question by any chance .... The chef kd7 YNWA JFT96{Ed002's Note - I don't - but I have asked about it.}
--------

The question was "when you were younger in uruguay what did you hope for your future and how has the real thing matched up to your dreams?"

Don't worry bout the quote people, as usual it was out of context.

Rewflo

{Ed002's Note - That was not the question, but it was equally innocuous. The English transcript of the interview shows it was a throwaway question following some discussion about Suarez first moving to the Netherlands, the issues he had settling, and then his move to Ajax. He is asked "It has been said that at one time you were a young man dreaming of playing in Barcelona" to which he replied the quoted response.}

Oh well Ed, the first of July has come and nearly gone and we haven't signed at least 6 foreign superstars to a value of 200 million so I suppose that means we are gonna be relegated On a more serious note Ed have you heard any whispers of players we may be monitoring that have or have not already been mentioned

Liverpool transfer policies is total in disarry
We are missing out so many excellent players
Already we miss out 4 players
Jones went to Man Utd he feel he got better chance of winning any trophies
Marveaux went to Newcastle fail the medical and do not want to take a chance remember Aquilani
Young went to Man Utd same reason as Jones
Wickham went to Sunderland because Liverpool won't paid £12m for a Championship player

Here is the list of player potentialy would miss out
Jose Enrique - might still on with Newcastle since Newcastle offer a highly lucative contract
Stewart Downing - won't paid the £18m asking price which value him around £12m max
Scott Dann - Stoke have offer just over 10m and Liverpool only value him arround 6-7m
Gary Cahill - too expensive @ £18m and Arsenal is favorite sign him
Charles NZogbia - Aston villa have offer Wigan £15m again dee to be too expensive
Gael Clichy - £8m sound reasonable but can't much Man City wage offer
Leighton Baines - can't see him go across the park to play for Liverpool
Gervinho - Arsenal came in first
Fernando Gago - ask to double is salary
Mamadou Sakho - want ECL football
Diego - His temper is problem KK might not like him in the team
Emilio Izaguirre - again too expensive @ £10m for a scottish League player
Doni - want come because he lost half his salary
Juan Mata - Arsenal, Man Utd and others have make a firm offer and Liverpool haven't have a offer reasonable
Ezequiel Lavezzi - @ £28m for third forward too expensive
Eljero Elia - Chelsea are also interesting and want ECL football
Aly Cissokho - more likely to be Clichy replacement @ Arsenal
Eden Hazard - must offer in excess of £30m+ before Lillie to let him go
Sergio Aguero - £40m + full stop. Chelsea more likely
Cristian Zapata - Udinese still waiting for offer
Dejan Lovren -work permit problem might buy him and loan him back to Lyon meanly won't play PL next season
Moussa Sissoko - Man Utd and Tottenham are chasing him both have European football
Aaron Lennon - Harry won't sell unless he could found a replacement
Santi Cazorla - cost £18m and want to still in spain for couple of years before he going to play aboard
Keisuke Honda - form is bit patchy recently and at £15m could recoup back from Shirt sales but Arsenal also in the hunt.

01 Jul 2011 18:36:12
Was just thinking eds I think we will need to buy mata before Arsenal sell Fabregas or Nasri because then they will have the money to just out bid us if we try and get him what do you think Eds?

LFC4LIFE94 {Ed002's Note - Arsenal do not have a need to sell to buy.}

01 Jul 2011 18:22:20
We aren't looking for a left-back in my opinion.....Aurelio and Insua will cover the position with Robinson as a reserve and G.Johnson and D, Agger can also deputise.
Right-backs will be G.Johnson, Flannagan and M.Kelly can do the job.
Central defenders will be M.Kelly, Carragher, Skirtel, Agger, Wisdom and A.N. other (Dann or Cahill?).
Defensive Midfield is the position we crave....J.Martinez would be an incredible signing but there may be others we are looking at.
Right Midfield/winger would be Henderson, Mata or Adam Johnson in my opinion but I wouldn't mind any one of a number of class players out there...we already have Henderson and Kuuyt and, nowadays, left and right wide-players are inter-changeable.
Personally, I'd love us to get Mata, A.Johnson and/or Downing, with Charlie Adam on the left of midfield.
As a third striker, we could do worse than Shane Long or J.Defoe but, remember, we have Kuuyt and a few youngsters able to come in.
Personally, I think we need a lot more creativity and Henderson and Adam will surely be a step forward. Scott Dann would give us more of a defensive "presence" and someone like Downing or A.Johnson (preferably) would provide width.
Pepe Reina, Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll, Steven Gerrard, Danny Agger, Jamie Carragher, Dirk Kuuyt, Lucas Leiva and Glen Johnson are all players we currently have in our armoury and , although one or two will be unavailable at any given time, we have the back-bone of a very competitive team.
Add two or three top-class players and we've got to be serious contenders
Remember, Red-Men, we've got Suso, Sterling, Coady, Wisdom, Ince, Silva and and Djoran waiting in the background (amongst others)
The fact we can't offload some of our highly-paid "mistakes" just means greater competition.......Jovanovic, Cole, N'gog, Maxi Rodriguez, Meireles, Poulsen, Konchesky, El Zhar, Degan and Insua either want to leave or need to be got rid of. We won't lose them all and those remaining will be deemed as available for selection.
I wouldn't lose any sleep if all of the above left the club but I reckon it'd cost us a pretty penny in compo to get them off the wage-bill thanks to the previous regime.
NESV bought our Club cut-price but they inherited a lot of problems in the process re players on cast-iron contracts. Players acquired on "frees" but with sky-high wages meaning they're almost impossible to move on if they don't work out.
I'm no expert but maybe just getting these players off the wage-bill, even without transfer-fees, should be an option. E.g....N'gog is probably worth £5-7m but we could perhaps waiver that to save £45,000 p.w. wages. Jovanovic and Cole are on a combined £1m per month inc. of insurance etc. What a waste of money......There won't be many takers at those figures so losses have to be factored in.
Maxi has demonstrated his worth so he could be considered worth keeping....however, if we could capitalize then we should.
Degen (I think) is at the end of his contract but Insua and El Zhar are on big-bucks and getting shut will be difficult without massive losses.
There are others of course, and the problems left behind by the Gillett, Hicks, Benitez and Parry era obvious. However, the in-fighting and public laundry-washing are behind us. The lies and deceit are history.
A sense of vision and direction appears to have replaced all of the negativity of 9 months ago...remember 9 months ago? Hodgson, Poulsen, Konchesky, El Sulko Torres, Ryan Babel, Gillett, Hicks and Sammy Lee.
Big strides are being made behind the scenes and I defy anyone out there to claim they're doing better in their job than our current owners are doing at Anfield.
It's not about buying Aguero and Mata...it's about building a club. Replacing Torres and Babel with Carroll and Suarez? Replacing Hodgson and Sammy Lee with Dalglish and Steve Clarke? Recruiting top youngsters....the sought-after Irish lad whose name escapes me, Henderson, the lad Cairney from Hull and others yet to come (no doubt).
Okay, if we buy a decent LB all well and good but it means pressure to get rid of Aurelio and Insua.
Adam is a must 'cos we don't have a LM with his dead-ball attributes.
I've given my opinion on the other positions and they are only my opinion. My point is we should invest all of our negativity into supporting those who are undoubtedly working very hard behind the scenes.
Without the "distraction" of Europe next season, we only play 38 games plus FA Cup/Carling Cup games and, let's face it, we'll be using the Carling Cup to blood some of the fringe-players.
If everything goes tits-up we'll play 40 games which is nothing to what we're used to (Fulham will play 268 games if they get to the Europa Final...that's more than one a day)
Enough said
ANFIELDPETE

Any of the Eds, is it true that we've had a bid for Diego for Wolfsburg? I for one hope its true, i know it seems him and mental health have had a shaky friendship at times but hopefully their great mates now and its true he's on his way. Have squad numbers been released yet or do they leave that closer to when the season kicks off? Thanks. Jonson6 {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any bids from Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool who have expressed at least some interest. Sporting Lisbon, Galatasaray, Botofogo, Lazio and others have also shown an interest in Diego who may be sold for as little as 10M euros. Would be a major gamble. I don't know anything about the squad numbers.}

Hi Ed,

Read a bit about what you have said about Cairney today, but I still remain a bit confused, as everyone seems to believe it is a nailed on deal, but then some Ed's say there is no transfer news today.

I was just wondering if you could clear up this confusion, and whether we have or are about to sign Cairney, or is the friendly to do with the fact that Gulasci is moving there on loan. Also, since that news has come to light, the Doni deal seems close, once more. Do you believe a deal to be struck?

Thanks very much Ed,
Lots of questions there,

Burnsy {Ed002's Note - Cairney is something that remains a rumour at present. Gulasci looks like he is set for a loan move. A deal could be done for Doni.}

01 Jul 2011 17:35:06
ed whats ur take on the milner rumours? the right kinda winger fr lfc? personally i think he would be a good addition. but i do think there are better options {Ed009's Note - he isn't really a winger at all, he's more of a central midfield utility player. I feel we have more chance of getting Johnson if anyone from City, personally.}

01 Jul 2011 17:27:45
ed suppose the cairney rumour is true. How much do you think will he cost?
I read on the general rumours page somewhere one fan quoted a 10m price. {Ed009's Note - nothing like that - probably around 5 million realistically.}

01 Jul 2011 16:47:10
hey eds............do you think the likes of gerrard, reina, and carra would have been informed of our possible transfers... really hope kenny pulls off something amazing in the transfer window.......................please post on rumours page guys...... savage site keep it up {Ed009's Note - I doubt they will have been told of specific transfers, as there is no assurance they will go through and Kenny is trying to redistribute the degree of player power at the club.}

Ed if we are playing Hull in a friendly due to a player purchase does this mean when we play valencia we could be getting Mata... sorry if this question has already been answered i justreally want Mata to sign

Just a question to the Eds.......do you think there is a chance we might pursue Cissokho a bit more now as it looks like we have lost out on Clichy going to City?

Tugger {Ed009's Note - the left back situation is very hard to read as there is no obvious interest in any player at this moment in time. Clichy will likely be moving to City and its impossible for us to buy Enrique after Thompson made a mistake in saying we were nailed on with Enrique. Its impossible to sign him now without accusations of tapping up. The two left backs I would like to see us pursue are Angel and Cissokho. The former is a possibility for Barcelona whereas the latter would love to play for us. If we could get past the considerable issue of Lyon's aggressive over pricing to English clubs he could make a fantastic 'marquee' signing.}

have it on good authority that the likes of aguero will never arrive at liverpool due to the high wage demands. therefor we will never spend 40 million on a player (andy carroll the only one close due to his potential and being english) as there wage is too high. despite this the likes of matt jarvis are targets that kenny will look to sign

So, Payet has gone to Lille, is this cover for Gervinho, who can play wide, but is more of a forward, or is it in preperation to see Hazard leave?
Gervinho is as good as Arsenal's, so, Hazard. The player has stated he would be fine staying at Lille, but Payet is not a straight replacement for Gervinho, so where could he be going, just noted that on the rumours page someone had said hes coming to us, and in a way it makes sense, why pay £20M for Downing if you could get Hazard for not far off that?
Thoughts please ed?

Anfield Andy {Ed002's Note - There is an offer in for Eden Hazard from PSG and the player's agent has said that he is interested in a possible move. However, Lille are not keen to sell him - particularly to PSG. Don't hold your breath about a move to Liverpool.}

Roma keeper Doni has had a major change of heart and reached an agreement to join Liverpool, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Il Messagero claims the Brazilian keeper has already agreed terms and is hoping to finalise a move in the next few days.
The two clubs are now agreeing a fee for the experienced keeper with Roma looking for at least £1.5m for the 31-year-old.
The move looked in doubt earlier in the week after Doni turned down the club's first offer saying his salary would have been cut by 60 per cent, but the two parties appear to have reached a compromise.
The arrival of Doni will spark even more speculation surrounding the long-term future of Pepe Reina who has been linked with a move away from Liverpool.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is determined to build a squad that is good enough to challenge for major silverware next season.

Liverpool target Charlie Adam today spoke of the ongoing saga surrounding his future, declaring 'whatever happens will happen'.

The Blackpool midfielder has been at the centre of a very public tug-of-war between the Reds and the Championship newcomers since he was denied a move to Anfield in January.

Seasiders' owner Karl Oyston confirmed last month that discussions had taken place concerning the 25-year-old but no offers had been forthcoming, despite Aston Villa and Tottenham both reportedly threatening to hijack Kenny Dalglish's move for his compatriot.

Adam has urged all parties to exercise discretion as they decide his fate, ahead of his return to to Bloomfield Road on Monday, when he will report for pre-season training.

"I go back to Blackpool on Monday and that s the way it is, " he told the Blackpool Gazette.

"Everybody knows the situation the club have met with Liverpool.

"But that s as far as it has gone.I had a conversation with the chairman, Karl Oyston, but that will remain private.

"It s important that we keep everything in-house - whatever happens will happen."

liverpool will sell aquaman - milan last few days of august on the cheap . poulson and ngog - west brom , koncheski - forest/fulham ,

01 Jul 2011 14:19:12
i don't think liverpool will even make a move for downing, he turns 27 in july and in my opinion, he is too old for the current transfer policy in place at the moment. what do you rekon ed? {Ed002's Note - Well interest remains right now, the issue appears to be money not his age.}

01 Jul 2011 13:56:51
Ed more of a question than anything but i have been reading that Aquilani is excited by returning to Anfield. Did him or his manager not state that he did not want to return to England it was a nightmare or something of that nature?
Rodney {Ed002's Note - He is saying the PC things. Liverpool are continuing to encourage clubs to bid for him. His aking price is 10M euros.}

01 Jul 2011 13:37:24
So Eds who would you like to see replace sammy lee ?And secondly i think liverpool will announce all signings at once and then get the players down to the hard work.We all know dalglish is not one for indulging the media.Can i get your view on this ed ? thanks(RD.RED) {Ed002's Note - Steve Clarke is effectively in the role.}

01 Jul 2011 12:57:14
ed hull have just signed paul mckenna from forrest ?? a replacement for tom cairney maybe ? i personally would rather cairney than adam, the lads got bright future

I see Villa fans say Mcliesh would be prepered to let Marc Albrighton go if he gets Nzogbia in. Albrighton certainly fits the LFC profile, young, english, a lot of potential and has already proved himself in the Prem

Irish international Shane Long to sign for £5m, KK sees him as ideal squad player and reason KK didnt beat Sunderland to Wickham

01 Jul 2011 13:23:17
Manchester city are planning to buy Samir Nasri and sell Milner to Liverpool

01 Jul 2011 12:57:04
Ed, are you sure we've called in for a Hull friendly, because we are signing some one from them? If it is, it'd be great to see Tom Cairney coming to us. Under-rated but really a class act, with loads of potential. :) {Ed009's Note - nothing has been confirmed so it is impossible to know, but it is likely that Cairney is the player involved.}

01 Jul 2011 12:54:15
Hi Ed's

I've heard from quite a credible source based in Solihull in the midlands that after missing out on Phil Jones, kenny Dalglish has shown a interest in Aston Villa's Ciaran Clarke. 'IF' this is true, what do the ed's and us fans think of a player who seemingly has alot of potential for the future?

01 Jul 2011 12:50:41
hi ed can u please tell me if we were ever interested in pjanic, cos i remember him againist us and he is class what u think of him and the chances of us going for him , if dc has such great knowladge of the french league surely we should be trying to sign him , thanks jeff {Ed009's Note - Lyon do not want to sell the player and have a fierce policy of over-pricing players to English clubs, so the transfer is not viable. On top of that I know of no interest in the player.}

01 Jul 2011 12:32:07
Hi Eds,
I wonder if you guys had any information or thoughts on possible moves out of Anfield. I would assume the owners are looking to reduce the wage bill (noting its previous comments regardnig wage bill / depth of squad). As we all assume there will be some new arrivals (whoever they may be).
I'd be pleased to see, Poulson, Jovanovic, El Zhar, N'Gog, Cole and Maxi go, and could understand if Merieles and Johnson were sold too. Although I appreciate the wages these guys are on may be a stumbling block, but maybe we need to cut our loses and pay them some sort of leaving bonus, just to get them off the books.

What do you guys think and what have you heard ? {Ed002's Note - I expect that Meireles and Jovanovic will leave. Liverpool will also look to get many of teh otehr players you mention out of teh club as well. I am not so sure Joe Cole will be leaving though.}

01 Jul 2011 12:26:20
question ed. Not being smart but all this talk of the club playing its cards close to their chests and such, how come the world and its mother seem to know who we are in for? same names, same results, with all the players we've been linked to, how can they possibly holding their cards close to their chests {Ed002's Note - It is very difficult to keep anything quiet with clubs, players, agents etc involved.}

01 Jul 2011 12:25:48
Any truth about Augreo to sign for LFC {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

01 Jul 2011 12:25:11
I really get this feeling that liverpool will be signing Matt Jarvis for the winger solution English and cheap.

01 Jul 2011 12:22:19
Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi has agreed to a season long loan to Hull

01 Jul 2011 12:39:13
Liverpool are all out to sign both Hazard and Mata but face stiff competition for both. Interest in Wickham was withdrawn when concern was expressed about funds to sign both wingers as we are struggling to shift the deadwood and have received no firm offers. The decision was made that all efforts should be made to sign mata as he can also play in advanced forward position. Chin up fellow koppites good news in next two weeks.

01 Jul 2011 11:33:20
Well its the 1st July so time to start seeing some movement, I beleive we will put in a bid for Mata wether we get him or not is a different story, Kenny will not want to miss out on him so i beleive a firm Bid will be made if not already made should Valencia decide to accept.
It will come down to Valencia Mata happy to stay but Valencia may be forced to sell due to debts expect a bid of around 22/24 Million to secure him.

Charlie Adam looking less and less likely I beleive we will walk away if not resolved in the next 72 hours.

I really dont believe in the Lennon rumours has pace but cross a ball, and Kenny will know this.

Expect a striker to be a matter of urgency, what with Suarez likely to miss firt few games of the season a striker was already needed as back up but more likely to be more urgency in this department now.

01 Jul 2011 10:54:40
Kenny Dalglish has offered Alan Shearer the chance to become Liverpools first team coach. Shearer is considering this and a few other job offers. That's the word on the toon

Ed or macca?

Got told by an aussie friend today that the reason fowler left. Aus is because he has accepted role as a scout at lfc. Any truth?

Lucas {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, according to a member of his family anyway, he just wanted to come home and hoped to get a position with us but didn't actually have one lined up.}

01 Jul 2011 10:28:50
liverpool will back out of adam deal if not agreed in next 48 hours
they have shown an interest in essien 4 a replacement this is wat my sources tell me
also mata deal near completed as liverpool want it to get completed before he signs 4 some1 else
we will sell cole to tottenham and jova and aqua to a european club prob spain or italy

I was the one who yesterday first posted the Hull City link. It is now being reported that Peter Gulasci will be going to Hull on a season long loan. I think this will be good as with regular 1st team footballer he could be ready to be a genuine back up to Pepe in a season or two. I still think the friendly means that we are signing someone from Hull but cannot shed any light on the Crainey speculation. I suspect all will be sorted soon - probably today.

hey guys this is the 1st time im putting a rumour ... i heard that charlie adam has signed and that liverpool supprise signing will be aaron lennon as redknap has told kenny he can have him 4 20 mill as spurs need to sell sum top players to buy there own transfer targets also that kk will offer 12 million 4 downing and the player must then hand in a transfer request as kk will not offer more zapata has gone to villareal and now lfc will go for dann and last of all enrique is in talks with lfc
thanks eds are doing great jobs :D

01 Jul 2011 10:04:52
KK refuses to go into a bidding war with man utd and will make a last attempt to sign Adam...if not expect a bid for 19m GBP for Javi Martinez.

01 Jul 2011 09:50:48
Liverpool have been told by Blackpool they will have to part with £9m to bring Scotland midfielder Charlie Adam to Anfield.

Liverpool are reportedly taking an interest in Manchester City midfielder Jamer Milner as reports circulate that the England international may not be happy at Eastlands.

Liverpool coach Steve Clarke admits the Reds may have to start the season without striker Luis Suarez and midfielder Lucas. The duo are on international duty in Argentina at the Copa America, which does not finish until 24 July, meaning they may need time to recover ahead of the Premier League kick-off on 13 August.

01 Jul 2011 08:56:21
Ed what is the situation with eden hazard and liverpool at the moment? I know PSG have bid and the player would like to move. It would seem strange for us not to bid considering that he was supposed to be commoli top target who they have watched all season. DO you think we might bid ed? {Ed002's Note - Eden Hazard has no interest in joining Liverpool. Nothing has really changed save for this offer from PSG.}

01 Jul 2011 08:04:23
Eds what are your views on the news that Oxdale - C is in talks with Arsenal, weren't we linked with him previously. KK hasn't done anything to warrant dis-trust but this seems like another of the young talented english players we were suppossed to be filling our squad with going elsewhere.

It is early days still in the transfer market but so far a 16mil+ outlay on a player I suspect hasn't caught the imagination of most fans and missing out on players that would doesn't bode well. {Ed002's Note - He always looked nailed on for Arsenal as far as I am concerned.}

01 Jul 2011 07:40:40
Good Morning Eds.

According to the Imperoromanista Doni has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and it's now up to the clubs. Any truth about it? I think he would be quite a good keeper as a second goaler.

David Malta {Ed002's Note - I don't know what the situation is with Doni right now. I had thought the deal was off.}

01 Jul 2011 07:24:03
morning ed's :) and good july 1st

Do you think it will be more activity on the players going out now that the international transfermarket has opened.. surley that have been an issue for some signings or?

thanks The wibe {Ed002's Note - There will certainly be movement on players leaving.}

Taken from Guillem Balague's website posted in May:

"Jose Enrique and Jose Angel of Sporting have been followed, but there are doubts over the defensive qualities of one and the maturity of the other, so no decision has been made"

I think Enrique is looking less and less likely but please please let us go for Jose Angel

Ed just a though u shud do a page with the main players we are being linked with yours and say Maccas information on them, instead of everyone asking u same questions everyday which I am sick of reading. IE rate the chances our or 10 etc just a though wud be a lOr easier for everyone ?

Adam Morgan is a natura goalscorer & took that from academy to reserves last season. Lfc have high hopes for him. I guess we will really find out when he plays 1st team football I don't get the fuss with wickham he had a very average season gone. None of the big clubs wanted 2 take None of the big clubs wanted 2 take a punt on him. I'm glad Lfc lost nterest.
--------

Morgan may look blistering in reserves but so did neil mellor, mellor was a record breaker in reserves but did nothing beyond it. Wickham proved his worth in the first team in a competetive league.

Any interrest in Goodwille?

01 Jul 2011 02:39:39

adam was agreed on but each time oyston has pushed it ie.8m then 8m plus wilson, then 8 plus 2 players then 9 mill so we are very close to walking away, also on the mata front arsenal are just in pole position so we need to act fast if downing aint sorted soon we will look abroad for a suitable replacement, but dont expect a big name unless we lessen our load, but enrique cahill and turan very much in consideration, the money is available for the right ppl so sit tight folks, i still hear benzema is on the cards as i said months ago, have faith folks, rome wasn't built in a day:) any ed's agree??

01 Jul 2011 02:05:10

HULL City have pulled out of the pre-season friendly game against the Mariners which was scheduled for July 23rd.

The Tigers will now play Liverpool on the same day which has been arranged because of an impending player transfer between the two clubs.

Taken off Grimsby Town's website.. :D

blackpool to accept liverpool offer for adam (£8m-£9m) with wilson going on 1yr loan deal to them. adam expected in merseyside in next 24-48 hrs

01 Jul 2011 01:18:50
Just heard from my buddy from Liverpool that it's supposedly Tom Cairney thats the player from hull.. I remember we had an interest in him last summer or January and that if he does make the move David Amoo may be involved in a deal to bring him to anfield I'm not sure If this is true as he doesn't have any sources that I know of was just wondering if you think there's a chance of this ed?

Robo {Ed001's Note - the Cairney bit is apparently correct, though these days you can never be sure until the player signs on the dotted line. I am still trying to find out the details though, I know Hull are very interested in Ayala too, so it could involve either, neither or even both him and Amoo. The rumour does seem to be that a player is involved going the other way though.}

According to reports liverpool have sent repersentives to spain to tie up the youth signing of antonio cotan. This could also mean that liverpool are speaking to players in spain hopefully mata or cozorla, maybe some one else who knows. What do you think ed?. {Ed001's Note - my geography is sketchy so I have no idea how far apart Seville and Valencia are. I should do considering my parents live near Seville though!}

30 Jun 2011 23:55:44
The friendly against Hull is 100% due to us signing one of their players, it is on Grimsby Town's website as Hull had to cancel their friendly with them.

USA U17 playmaker Marc Pelosi says Liverpool has been keeping tabs on him, and he ll decide where to head after the U17 World Cup.

LFC approached the US Soccer Federation about Pelosi after seeing him play for the Under-17 national team.

Pelosi said [What I ll do] really depends, after the tournament.

College could still be a good option. It depends on the offers that are coming in. Going pro is my first priority. We heard there was some strong interest from Liverpool, and Germany a few places, so I m just deciding where to go.

The midfielder has been in residency at the Bradenton Academy leading up to the World Cup. Pelosi also holds a German passport, making a move to Europe that much easier
