i think one of the eds said athletico madrid could be interested in suarez (assuming he leaves) do they reckon oliver torres could be part of any deal? everyone goes on about isco being best young player in la liga, when he leaves (to city or wherever) this kid is the next one everyone will be going on about {Ed002's Note - Manchester City and Santos have made recent enquiries but I don't see interest from Liverpool happening.}

Believable14 Unbelievable9

Hey ed002 did you mean Liverpool have no interest or are you implying that you were surprised by Liverpool's interest
Thanks in advance {Ed002's Note - There is none.}

Hi eds. posting after long time, u guys r doing a great job, today I was watching countdown to kickoff on tenaction, here in India, I don't the name of the two host on that show, bt one of the host said suarez was voted as player of year bt just bcoz of bitting incident it was withdrawn, and the other one which played as cardiff city goalkepper said suarez is nt going to madrid bt its bayern, his agent being pep brother won't sell his client to madrid bcoz madrid-barcelona rivarly. wht do u thing is it madrid or bayern. Arshad

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Dont believe it, money talks and suarez will go to highest bidder, end of.
or he stays in which will be the hottest reception he's ever faced in england.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ten sports got some of the worst host I would not listen to them.

Hi Eds, you guys must have been busy the last few days so would really appreciate you guys answering a question for me? Do you think Son Heung-Min is good enough for LFC and if so who is interested in him? Thanks {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs have been looking at Hamburg's Heung Min Son for the past year. Certainly Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, Sunderland, Lille and West Ham have had him watched on more than one occasion leading up to the end of last year and Spurs had a bid turned down in January. Since the New Year some interest has been shown by Dortmund, Manchester United, CSKA Moscow and Chelsea, who would ideally look to a deal that sees a player included as part of an offer. Hamburg would like to keep him but I expect him to move in the summer, but a move to Chelsea or Manchester United could see him sat on the bench and that may not be what he wants. Dortmund or Spurs might be the best compromise for him but a recent enquiry from Dortmund has seen a much higher asking price than expected put on the player - so they are looking to negotiate.}

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Unless he gets injured in the next few years he will be up there with the best strikers in Europe I think tottenham will snatch him for some reason this summer but he won't be going for no lower than 15m euros now

Ed's would jovetic or mario gomez be viable options in case suarez does leave? {Ed002's Note - Right now no. Gomez is certainly looking for a move to England but with no takers yet is looking at Italy.}

Believable11 Unbelievable9

He won't come unless we get CL

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomez has the worst first touch I have ever seen, he can put a ball in the net do

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if/when we sell suarez we would be 100% interested in Gomez

we tried to sign him two or three windows.

say Suarez goes for £47m

if we can get Gomez for £21m, Muriel for £17m & Aspas for £8m would be good. !

Gomez off to Napoli

Hi Ed002,
would Liverpool take Callejon as a part of Suarez deal if offered? thanks. {Ed002's Note - I really don't know Tom.}

Believable9 Unbelievable55

There isn't even a "deal" - and IF there was and we take Callejon. Forget about our aspirations as a club. We would rather get all the money and no player exchange surely? Callejon is average. As a matter or fact he's playing RB today for Real LOL. No thank you. I pray BR and LFC make the right moves. This is such an important year for us. We must get it right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree ^^^^ fair comment. Red Smoke.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm of th opinion tat we should try and get player (s) as part of any deal for Suarez. If people know we have come into lots of money, then the price of any player we go for will be massively increased. (Carroll)

Agree0 Disagree0

Anything less than di maria + cash is a bad deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not

Agree0 Disagree0

Would much rather Higuain as part of a deal but luring him to the club could be beyond our means unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

Its possible. It's a reasonable deal.

However, all the indications are that Liverpool won't go for the deal.

Fact is that Reds fans need to get a grip and understand that Suarez's value is no more than £35 million, especially now everyone knows he wants to leave.

This is just the opening moves as interested clubs work out a favourable deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if he was playing right back he still scored today, callejon isn't that bad of a player but I would expect a better player to come in with the suarez cash as WE all know he will move weather its real or another team

intitiwetrust

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I have to agree. Really do not rate him and find him annoying to boot. nothing about Callejon reminds me of a LFc player
Gareth

Agree0 Disagree0

If he did play right back today he scored. Impressive he an score whether he plays.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id take varane plus cash but more than what they are offering, or even alonso plus a bit more cash :D

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 20:45:28
I hope not he's 26 and neering prime yet he's still rubbish. It would be an embarrassment if we swapped him for Borini never mind Luis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Callejon is a 5 goal a season striker. We want a 25 goal a season striker who is a workaholic to replace suarez. Although they have diferent styles to suarez, Benteke and Reus should be targeted.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 12:46:56
Ed002- do you think we have a chance of signing Jesus navas form the suarez money? {Ed002's Note - I would see him as far too high risk.}

Believable16 Unbelievable28

I'm sure he suffers from extremely bad home sickness, so a move oer here would be doubtful

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently he's supposedly come through treatment on his chronic homesickness and could be open to a move away? Either way I would find it unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

I love kenny Dalglish, but he passed on the opportunity to sign Jesus navas and Juan mata during his spell. He opted for downing and Henderson, this was partly due to the owners youth and english policy.

Hi eds,

Do you think Rafa will make a bid for any of our players. Many newspaper reports suggested he may make a raid on our club. I would hate to see Agger go.

Thanks {Ed002's Note - The Agger story the newspaper are running came from someone in Italy who tends to be pretty good with what he says. I can't offer any more.}

Believable9 Unbelievable48

Daniel agger has recently signed a new contract relax mate.

gee man

Agree0 Disagree0

Also, Agger is trying to help us get Eriksen here, so why then move on? He's happy here and as long as he gets to play regularly, he'll stay!

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I think both Agger and the club know that if he was to leave there's bigger clubs who are more attractive destinations who in turn would offer better money for him. Real, Barca and City have all been watching him for nearly a year.

Agree0 Disagree0

So did Suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger definately won't move! He showed his commitment last summer by turning down City. the guy has YNWA tatooed on his knuckles ffs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Erikson isn't going to happen! He would prefer to sign for spurs, united, chelsea or city in that order b4 joining Liverpool! Said b4 its like were the only thing left on the shelf!

Agree0 Disagree0

He can have Skrtel and Lucas

Agree0 Disagree0

Napoli are big

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy who recently got YNWA tattooed on him ain't going anywhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard Daniel Agger is likely to be the new vice captain. Can the eds or anyone else confirm this. I suppose that's presuming Reina leaves aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you let him have Lucas he is one of our best players fool

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger resisted a move to City last summer so hopefully he'd do the same again to another club if they came in for him. Would expect the club to not entertain offers/set a very high asking price too. Think Agger going on top of Carra and quite possibly Suarez and Pepe would represent too much change for one summer, personally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger is likely to be very tempted by any such deal. Signing a new contract is irrelevant.

I would expect Agger to move

Agree0 Disagree0

"After the loyalty we have shown Luis as a club it would be disrespectful to leave now, as other players have shown it is not a good idea to leave this massive club. He will never be part of a family like he has here in Liverpool"
Daniel Agger

Case closed I'd say!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rafa might want him but I can't see Agger leaving us for Napoli. If Barcelona come in for him, well, that's a different story

Red Ollie

Agree0 Disagree0

It says both Skrtel and Agger for £13m

Hell no is LFC going to sell and not for that price. Agger alone would cost £26m (as was the price quoted to Barce last summer).

Hi eds just a thought with Falcao gone now would athletico be in market for suarez maybe 30 mil an arda turan just a thought many thanks an great site nsr {Ed002's Note - Atletico are one of teh interested clubs and have interest from either Doyen Sports Investments or Quality Sports in being a third party financer. However, they will be less keen to include a player as they are looking to raise cash. Arda looks unlikely as an option as other clubs have spoken with AM about him already.}

Believable4 Unbelievable21

30 million plus Ardan Turan is ridiculous.

AM might be justified in valuing Turan the same as Suarez.

Turan might not even want to come to Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

^Turan is worth about £25m, and haha good one he's a massive Liverpool fan and he's regularly made this well known in numerous 'come and get me pleas' over the years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who would you rather play for Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney is an Everton fan. good job he stayed with Everton to backup your argument.

Turan will not want to move to LFC unless they were in the CL.

Do you think we may look at David Villa eds or is it just paper talk? Also I've looked back trying to find I think it's Ed019 list of possible replacements for Suarez but I'm on holiday and the search function won't work for me so I was wondering if you could copy and paste them into here. Good luck for this summer looks like it may be busier than expect. {Ed002's Note - Arsenal are certainly interested in David Villa but I am not aware of any agreement at this time and Liverpool may well be interested in him as a replacement for someone leaving. Spurs is another possibility. Given Villa has never wanted to play outside of Spain, is 30+ and no doubt be expensive in terms of insurance and wages, I am not so sure it would be a great move by any EPL club. Both he and Sanchez will be sacrificed by Barcelona. I know nothing of Ed019 producing a list.}

Believable6 Unbelievable21

I so hope we do not get David Villa!
3-4 years ago then yes but anything over £5 million I think would be crazy at his age and with previous injury + wages

Please do not do it!

Agree0 Disagree0

The club leadership have made up their minds about getting rid of Suarez since the latest incident. However they are not about to go on record stating that, as it will lower the asking price significantly. The club will now look to maximize profit on the player as soon as possible, while this year's primary transfer targets are still available. Since his sale was not included into this year's strategy, it is likely that there will not be any deals other than the original shortlist. The club will not make the same mistake and get into an unplanned, last minute panic business (i. e big andy).

Morning Eds, just wondering where we stand with Aspas and Luis Alberto?
I was told we had completed an £8.6m move for Aspas, which hasn't appeared anywhere as a completed signing, and also I have read, from Ballague, that Luis Alberto was all but done, something else hat has not appeared anywhere? I understand that Alberto is still on loan essentially and therefore cannot be side just yet, just wondering if you could clarify where these transfers stand currently?

Anfield Andy {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any "done deal" for Aspas as I have previously explained. Barcelona still have an option on Alberto, once that has expired then Liverpool can look to agree a transfer.}

I no that previously giovinco was linked in a part exchange for Suarez is this still a possibility if juventus had an interest and if this isn't true would there be any chance of us having a look at him to replace Suarez {Ed002's Note - Juventus would be happy to include him in a deal. Matri, Quagliarella and Prince Desir Gouano will also be made available by Juventus.}

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Ed do you believe giovinco would be a goos signing or do you think he would be to weak {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Hi eds, I'd like too hear this from you and not everybody else claiming that they know everything. Is Suarez leaving Liverpool for Madrid this summer, if so how much do you think, and if there is someone in the deal for him, who would it most likely be? Cheer JCRED {Ed002's Note - Pre Ivanovic I thought that perhaps he would stay - but now, with the further incident, the ban and yet again the statements to the press and courting another club - this will be it I would think. The club will now be done with him and will be open to proposals from the various interested clubs. There is every chance Liverpool will offer up a player or two in part exchange but I would doubt any Champions League regulars would be interested in such a deal.}

Believable16 Unbelievable8

How about Marcelo as part of the deal?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get any player it will probabaly be jose callejon, looks like madrid have no future plans for him, does not regularly start and is a striker, so will probably end up with him if anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we 'end up' with Callejon? I've researched him the last few days and he looks a bit cr*p for want of a better word. We don't have to 'end up' with anyone - if RM want Suarez they should stump up the cash or convince one of their better spare players that moving to LFC is a good idea.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 13:55:12
suarez should go for 35m and dimaria as abonus player because Liverpool we need afurious player like dimaria yet madrid is willing to him go

Agree0 Disagree0

He is clearly unhappy at the club and will only bring the club morale down now if he stays. madrid know he wants to leave and they know the owners are abit fed up with him, and that they are probabaly looking to get rid, and therefore they don't have to pay 50+ million, as they know Liverpool will in the end eventually sell, and with the trouble he causes, noone will pay in excess of 50m. tske 40m plus callejon if it is offered, because its the best offer madrid will put on the table. he's clearly unhappy, so let him go. he's causes too much trouble and 40m will buy you a top quality player. why would benzema, higuain, ozil etc move to Liverpool when they are guaranteed 1st/2nd in league and at least champions league quarter finals every single year? maybe you can talk about it again next year if Liverpool manage to get back in the top 4, but at the minurte, forget about it. take the deal

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason why benzema/higuain/ozil or - my preference - Raphael Varane, may come to Liverpool is if RM essentially forces them.

The reason RM might put such pressure is because if they really want Suarez, they'll need to compete with other suitors such as PSG, Monaco, Bayern, Juventus, Zenit, Anzhi, City, Chelsea (English clubs are worst case scenarios)

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above poster, why would LFC want the Spanish equivalent of Stewart Downing, Jose Callejon?. Real are taking a starter from our team, we need to take one or two from theirs. It's the law!, LFC don't give aa rats ass how Real convince Benzema or Di Maria, as long as they agree to join LFC. Do you think the drug dealer gives a shyte if the drug is 100% pure b4 selling?. NO, he sells it by just the word of his head tester that it is pure, so the buyer either stumps up the dough or adds a linking of the seller! Long story short, with Suarez we have a bargaining chip to buy ANY attacking player they have bar Ronaldo!. It is Deals job to convince them to join us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alot of people seem to think that Liverpool have all the power in this negotiation but they dont. madrid already knew the owners were unhappy, but now they know that the player is unhappy, and that he will try and force a move. because of this, madrid know that Liverpool will probably have to let him go now, just like owen. madrid have the power, as they know, unlike with bale, the owners don't particularly want him to stay, and the player does not want to stay, and are in no way going to be blackmailed into giving us one of there starting players. if they put 30-40m on the table aand noone else bids, then the money will be taken. its all about whether madrid start playing games. they could wait to the last couple of days to make a bid, knowing Liverpool will have to accept whatever there is. the offers from madrid will only get worse as the transfer window goes on, as, just like with owen, Liverpool will eventually crumble and will end up releasing the player for cheaper. they are in no position to trade us some of their top players. maybe wittht the bale situation were the player has not publicly said he wants to leave and it is clear the staff want him to stay, a player may be offered. madrid are in no postion now to be manipulated to hand us some of their starting players. it us with our back to the wall, not madrid. if suarez hadve kept his mouth shut we couldve pushed for 50m plus, but madrid know now he will help them push for a move and that Liverpool will probably have to accept the offer madrid want if there are no better ones being made. take whatevers being offered because the later in the window it gets, the worse the offer will be, and we need to sort the problem out now and get the money spent on replacements instead of letting it drag out the whole summer, ending with suarez leaving for 25m with no replacement brought in

Agree0 Disagree0

They don't have to sign for Liverpool. Real cannot force their players to leave. On a side note, most of you people should not call yourselves supporters; Suarez has not left. He has not asked for a transfer. He has only said that (a) Real Madrid are difficult to refuse, and (b) that the English media are harassing him. That is it. You should not abuse a current LFC player only because you think he might leave. What purpose does it serve? You can say, "I told you so, " if he does leave? Imagine if Luis saw fans saying they wanted him out, that they've had enough of him. What do you think he would want then? Most certainly to get away from these supposed supporters. Call me naive if you must, but I will support Luis Suarez until the moment he is confirmed to have signed for another club. And even then, I will wish him well. Up to this point, he has done nothing to force a move and he has my respect.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jun 2013 07:17:50
When Suarez goes, (which I be thankful for, and is looking a dead cert), are we still looking ator intersted in Yilmaz (spelling)? {Ed002's Note - Burak Yilmaz has attracted interest in the past year from Sevilla, Spurs, Fulham, Dortmund, Beyer Leverkusen and Newcastle. There are also unconfirmed rumours of interest from Liverpool dating from as long ago as early June. Lazio and Lokomotiv Moscow spoke with the player in January after the clubs agreed that they would meet the asking price from Galatasaray - but that has now risen with his recent performances. Chelsea were quoted a very significant fee when enquiring recently. Atletico Madrid remain very keen to discuss a move for the player but might struggle to finance a deal without a third party contribution at the price now being asked.}

Believable1 Unbelievable16

when you say

"unconfirmed rumours of interest from Liverpool dating from as long ago as early June"

Real's main target's Bale, so don't think we have anything to worry about. Aguero is another top of their list. Barca have bought neymar, city will get cavani, monaco have all but wrapped up falcao. Bayern is looking to lewandoski, psg's main striker target is rooney. Juve effectively got both higuain and Lorente and look like sealing sanchez or jovetic. So I think it's fair to say suarez won't be going, at least for another season. You agree ed2? {Ed002's Note - Not at all - you are miles from being correct - for example, Real Madrid want Bale and Suarez after losing out on Aguero.}

Believable10 Unbelievable21

Do Real have the finances to get both Bale and Suarez Ed or are they in a bit of a sell-to-buy situation? Cheers {Ed002's Note - They have other targets, such as Isco, as well and will be selling or exchanging players to try and get business done.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The best post I have seen on here in ages, well said!, and the usual comic reply from ed 02,

Agree0 Disagree0

Some stupid LFC fans out there

Suarez wants to leave Liverpool. Go back and read what he has said.

Suarez will leave in the summer for between £25 and £35 million.

Forget Ozil or Benzema or Varnane. Even if RM wanted to release them, those players would not come to Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree0

You said "we have nothing to worry about", but by the looks of things, the majority of Liverpool fans are happy enough to let him go as he causes so many issues, and the only real question is for how much. still think if we get any player it will be callejon, not benzema, ozil, di maria etc

Agree0 Disagree0

That was comedy post of the day. do guys actually listen to the Ed's?

Suarez is all but gone! Get over it. LFC just need to agree the deal with 'a club' it might not be Real Madrid, but they look the hot favourites as Suarez has said he wants to join them. Whether that's cash only, or more likely a cash plus a player deal we will have to wait and see. Why people keep coming up with random transfer fee figures is laughable. The only people who know and can agree the fee will be LFC and the buying club. Otherwise it's all foggy crystal ball stuff and guess work. It seems as though everyone here is a wanna be football Agent in the know!

One things for sure, Brendan and the club will do their very best to get good quality players to replace Suarez. Have faith in them!

good morning ed, s just come off the night shift to find we may be possibly interested in this guy Henrikh Mkhitaryan. any info floated by yous please. {Ed002's Note - Shakhtar's Mkhitaryan is of interest to Lazio and Juventus, but the player is looking for a move to Spain with Barcelona or somewhere in England, preferably London, so he can get the very high wages he says he is due. Seems a bit of a flake to be honest. Shakhtar are looking for about €25M which seems high to me.}
