Joe Cole has done a deal with QPR. No fee involved apparently. Downing should sign for Sunderland in the opening days of the window.

Who would take him other than Lille?

Fingers crossed. Isn't he on about 90k p/w?

Does anyone actually care where they go?!

Sunderland? But with Adam Johnson and Stewart Downing on the wings ohhhh

Liverpool are looking to sign Daniel Sturridge,Tom Ince and Theo Walcott this January. Oussama Assaidi could be set for a shock move just six months after joining the club while Stewart Downing and Joe Cole are openly for sale. Doni and Dani Pacheco also look likely to leave. Rodgers is already plotting next summers moves, Liverpool currently look unlikely to meet Real Madrid's £18m valuation of Nuri Sahin with Rodgers and co. looking to Ajax youngster Christian Eriksen to fill the attacking midfield void. Rodgers is also a huge fan of Aston Villa's Ciaran Clark who is primarily a centre half but can play as a holding midfielder or left back. Brendan is clearly looking to build a side for the long term all his targets are exciting players that are 23 or under.

What exactly has Assaidi done wrong to warrant such an early move? He's not been outstanding, but who has?

Why would assaidi leave?

Erikson no clarke no

18m for Sahin. Now I know this post is s***

If BR lets Assaidi go he's got a screw loose - the guy has been good when he's played and is a good squad player! He's only young yet and I think he has the credentials to make it! He was MOTM in one of the earlier EL games this season at Anfield if I remember correctly...

Os Red

Assaidi should be given a run in the team, and I don't know where such bull has come from that he's on his way. Eriksen has said he wants to move to Spain so he's a no go and Clarke will stay with villa

Assaidi has a knee problem ATM so that will put a stop on any moves so far + he has a point to prove in the league first which he hasn't started. I hope he gets a chance v Fulham or QPR , as he's a very good player , I highly doubt we would sell him if we do I'd question the management team to say the least

Agree with everything until Clark

If Rodgers signs Eriksen, I'll kiss him on the mouth.

~Fresh

Would love Eriksen but believe that Viktor Fischer would be the better, and more affordable, option.

have we scouted arda turan? any interest for jan or summer?
the brown man {Ed002's Note - You need to check out the search function.}

20 Dec 2012 20:09:59
Hi Eds:
I know Rodgers wants to strengthen the squad from within Britain, but does he have scouting networks in other parts of Europe (ie./ Spain, Holland, Belgium, or Germany) or South America set up? Feel that the new channel needs to have focus abroad as well. Brilliant Site. -Jordan {Ed002's Note - Rodgers is not responsible for the scouts but the club does indeed have an extensive scouting network.}

Probably all sat on a beach doing nothing. We've only signed 1 good foreign player and every man and his dog knew about Suarez 3 years before he came

20 Dec 2012 21:04:56
Why would Rodgers not have control over our scouting network if this is true then no wonder our manager who ever it maybe signs crap

So a manager has to also be in charge of 50 or so scouts worldwide and tell them what to do. Because clearly the manager knows how football is in Nigeria, chile and south korea. If you think he has time/knowledge to be in charge of the scouts you are clearly deluded.

The scouts all need sending to Specsavers.

Why within Britain. Britain ain't got that much talent. Look what Daglish spent 80 million on for crying out loud.

I am one of the fans that would rather the 10 to 15 mil spent on a wilfried bony or augbuyum. Basically a player that is scoring at a great rate with lots of talent. But from an outsiders view I can understand the logic of looking for epl experienced players who are maybe more likely to hit the ground running and not need a lengthy settling in period.
Sam lfc

If Britain doesn't have talent then the top two a clearly barking up the wrong tree as well.

Fergie signings
Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Nick Powell for c 34m
Mancini signings
James Milner, Jack Rodwell, Scott Sinclair for c48m

Only 1 or 2 are regulars right now but it seems there is talent and British clubs do like to have a core of British players.

PieInTheSkyMan

Writer of this post:
In an ideal world, Chicharito or Jackson Martinez would be the 9 of this club. But they're priced out and not having a chance to come in realistically. I believe Aubameyang and Rodrigo would fit nicely in the role for LFC as mobile 9's for Rodgers. My hope for the 10 is either Isco or Eriksen. But LFC need to get the scouting networks right. They have yet to. As a whole, I hope that the next two windows bring in youth, yes... but I mainly hope for skill. Money needs to be spent to win. But needs to be spent wisely. Let's hope they do so according. YNWA

Good Evening Eds- was just wondering if any clubs have been scouting -Léo Baptistão- of Rayo Vallecano? i think he has awesome talent and reminds me alot of Luis Suarez, whats your opinion on him? reply would b greatly appreciated , cheers guys
concon {Ed002's Note - There is no interest in Baptistao from Liverpool and it is unlikely he would get a work permit just yet, although Fulham and Sunderland have made enquiries. Expect Atletico Madrid to look to him.}

He isnt british and overated

20 Dec 2012 18:44:20
Were abouts did the keeper gordon end up at wasnt he a free agent? {Ed002's Note - Craig Gordon is a free agent. He may go to Everton.}

He's a pundit on sport scene in scotland every week

Cudge

Surely not as replacement for Howard

20 Dec 2012 18:29:13
Do you know if Sporting would allow Jeffren on loan as you said there has been an enquiry {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has made an enquiry about taking Jeffren Suarez on loan in January. During the summer window Liverpool, Sevilla and Napoli all showed an interest in a loan for Jeffren after his first season at Sporting Lisbon was impacted by injury. Despite rejecting loan moves in the summer he has now fallen out of favour in Lisbon following some poor performances meaning a loan might be now feasible in January. However, given (a) he is not playing well, (b) Barcelona retain and option on him, and (c) he has a ridiculously high release clause in his contract, it would be near impossible to sell him on the Iberian peninsula and it may be tough to sell him elsewhere right now.}

20 Dec 2012 17:41:52
ed do you see LFC signing any more first teamers afteter Sturridge an Ince should they sign? cheers JF LFC {Ed002's Note - I suspect a player on loan. Additionally, if any one leaves and there is none in the squad to cover that might need to be addressed.}

Ed002 do you expect that loan player to be jeffren or is there anyone else possible on loan? {Ed002's Note - The only player that I know a loan enquiry has been made for is Jeffren.}

20 Dec 2012 17:00:28
Hey eds have we pulled out of Sturridge deal. {Ed002's Note - No.}

12 million for Sturridge? He's not even in Chelsea's team and played no regulat football this season. See him being too greedy and not working well with Suarez myself.

20 Dec 2012 16:53:45
Hello Eds,
1. Is it true the sturridge deal has hit a snag ? do you expect it to go through ?
2. What is the deal with Ince ?
I thought we had agreed a deal with Blackpool now they say we haven't. {Ed002's Note - (1) There is an issue over the agent and representative fees for Sturridge but I would think it will still go through. (2) A bid was made for Ince and Blackpool rejected it. As I said - no "done deals" yet.}

What's the standard agents fees ed please, 10% ?
Or is it akin to lawyers charging by the hour ?
B***dy vultures.
There should be a cut that goes to grass roots football or something.
The Juicer {Ed002's Note - Expect about 8% of the transfer fee typically but sometimes there are tiers of agents and representatives, old school buddies, bonuses etc. that can make things difficult.}

Dont expect anything cheap off those rock sucking... {Ed003's Note - thanks very much for your input you mindless ignorant twerp,how dare a club look after its own interests when L'pool come calling ? moron!}

20 Dec 2012 16:48:08
It looks like Ince, Sturridge (sigh), Jeffren on loan and Lucas Biglia

Hilarious. You sigh for Sturridge who is far better than ince. And have you ever seen jeffren suarez. I've seen him play numerous times and have never been impressed. Then you stuck your own choice on the end. Be suprised if anything comes to that.

Totally pathetic. any sturridge hater is going to look very stupid when he starts banging in the goals, if he joins of course.

Lucas Biglia is 26. For some reason that means we won't sign him.

Yes it does and the person we get linked with tomorrow

Don't see why people are against sturridge

Sturidge is a natural born finisher in my opinion.
hope he joins us and settles well along with all potential new signings

R2TB

May well turn out that non-Sturridge fans (different than 'Sturridge haters') will look stupid if he performs well in a red shirt. If that happens, I would be glad to look like a fool (probably, not for the first time).

Reality is....he won't perform well. He's a self-centered, overhyped, overpriced, egomaniacal bench warmer for Chelsea who can't even displace a pathetic Torres. So, now he's suddenly going to come to LFC and become Messi ('banging in the goals')? Why would that happen?

Think before you start name calling because given the incredibly low odds of Sturridge suddenly and mysteriously starting to bang in the goals, YOU might just be the one that looks stupid...well, at least you'll be in good company with LFC management.

A question for you previous poster, Sturridge has been injured for the best part of this season so I question how he would start ahead of Torres. Last season when he wasn't injured, anyone with a basic knowledge of football knows that the reasons Torres starts are purely political. They paid 50 million pounds for him and have an egotistical owner who wishes to see himself proved correct no matter how many managers he has to axe (i.e, di matteo getting fired at 4 in the morning after refusing to start torres against Juventus

if you thinking sturridge cannot score a goal then I trust you did not see him playing for Bolton where he showed his clinical finishing abilities.

So it seems rather silly you implying sturridge cannot score and is selfish when you have barely seen him play because of the reasons stated above. And why even bring messi into this, thats a rather immature statement. You don't know if he will bang in goals or not do you

By no means do I think he is the finished article. But from what I, and other scholars of the game, have observed, he adds a new dimension that Liverpool simply do not have. We have to be realistic as to the players we can bring to the club, and i see Daniel Sturridge as a very good option.

20 Dec 2012 15:43:35
Hi Ed hope all is well and thanks again for doing a great job, I take my hat off to you. Just got one question who do you think liverpool will be better off with as a striker Gameiro or Sturridge ? thanks {Ed002's Note - I would not want to compare them but Sturridge will likely be more flixible as a player. Saying that Gameiro has got his fair share of goals.}

20 Dec 2012 15:17:49
The Tom Ince deal has hit the rocks. Problem? Blackpool values him more than what Liverpool is offering. Apparently, Blackpool wants a bidding war that will drive sale price up. Could you confirm this, eds?

Noski {Ed002's Note - Liverpool's offer was not accepted so it is reasonable to assume that Blackpool want more. This is all part of negotiation.}

But the Echo said it was a done deal at £4m!!

Still got some of those pants left, remember only £1k/pair.

{Ed002's Note - There are no "done deals" yet.}

Sign his Father on a free !!

If Liverpool are offering 6m which everyone is saying the there already paying over the odds

I believe his final price will be around £8m, but Liverpool would pay less because of the clause you have in the players contract.

Maybe you won't pay that sort of fee, but others will. So, either you do, or you won't get him-that is the sort of club B'pool are.

That's real cheek from Blackppol after us selling him for 250 and giving them Shelvey and a good price for Adam

The club should walk away, nowhere near good enough to improve us. Just a sideways step from Downing and an expensive one at that.

20 Dec 2012 15:13:37
whats the chances of Leandro Diamo coming to Liverpool in January or even the summer? toughts would be very welcome ed's. great site. Thanks.

Golfzilla {Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, Arsenal, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan and Juventus. Lyon and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. January 2013 may be a likely time to move. The summer saw rejected bids from Spurs and PSG. Inter, Roma or Juventus may force a move - and these remain the most likely destinations right now. His club value him at an unrealistic 60M euro and don't want to sell. The player says wants to move to Chelsea but their interest would only be there if other targets were not achievable.}

Why would he go to inter or any of them clubs {Ed002's Note - As opposed to?}

I really think this guy would come and play for Liverpool. It's just a shame we haven't got the funds or ambition Spurs have to make a bid.

20 Dec 2012 21:41:00
Why does he particularly want to go to Chelsea? Is it bcos of the Brazilian contingent there? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know but it would be a reasonable assumption.}

20 Dec 2012 15:03:08
eds is it true that daniel sturridges agent is in liverpool {Ed002's Note - I don't know - sorry.}

Sturridge and Rodgers share the same agent. He could have been with Rodgers rather than Sturridge. Don't jump to conclusions!

20 Dec 2012 14:51:25
Sturridge agent is in Liverpool right now, it is getting close

I believe we will sign
Walcott
Sturridge
Ince

I think that would be a very good transfer window

LFC93

Walcott will not be signing for anyone other than arsenal!!

Not Walcott

I sincerely hope you're right as we would be formidable in attack, but I fear Walcott will slip through the net. Shame

20 Dec 2012 19:08:31
Pace! That's what we need to run in behind defenders! Loads of time to improve all young and hungry to play will blossom under Rodgers give them a chance!

No it wouldn't. Doesn't really improve what we have. Average enough players. There's no-one else in for them. Says it all

Well theres reported interest in walcott from united,city,chelsea and juve so he's clearly not avarage.better than majority of liverpools players right now

20 Dec 2012 14:43:50
Eds or anybody, is there any chance of the likes of Llorente coming to Liverpool? I now we have been talking about him before, but not for a while. Everybody seems to talk about Gameiro, but given Llorentes situation in Bilbao and his known wish to play in England, could it be a january target for BR? I really would hope so...

Danish Kopite {Ed002's Note - Fernando Llorente is still interesting a number of clubs. Chelsea, and I suspect Manchester City, have dropped their interest and I would think that other clubs could be scared off by the size of the transfer fee still being asked by Athletic Bilbao. There is a very good chance that he will move next year and there has been plenty of discussion with Juventus over a January move althgough it looks, at this time, like it will come to nothing. Interest from Arsenal, Spurs and now Atletico Madrid and Barcelona has been ramping up. It is likely that he will end up at one of these clubs but at a much lesser fee if he moves in January. His alternatives will be to sign a new contract, sign a pre-contract in January for a summer move or to let his contract run down and go for a good sized signing on fee.}

If any clubs have scouted him recently then they will probably have dropped any interest in him. He's been appalling lately, probably because he isn't happy there but it can't be helping his cause if he wants a move to a team in the champions league!

20 Dec 2012 13:36:56
ed oo2 just seen a rumour bout villa going to swansea on loan any truth in it mate if so think we should go for him he would be the player we desperately need cheers

mike {Ed002's Note - It seems to be simple speculation right now.}

20 Dec 2012 13:33:44
Hey eds, if we get Sturridge in January, will he be cup tied for the Europa league? {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

No he won't ed it's the knockout round. {Ed002's Note - He has already appeared in Europe for Chelsea and they are in the same competition now.}

20 Dec 2012 13:11:53
im a newcastle fan and ive just heard that you lot have enquired about Ba and are offering a player plus cash deal to secure his signature!

and its not carrol, although that has been mooted for some time, its stuart downing!

any thoughts?.....spenny mag!

Hope so.....

My thoughts:

£35 million already gone to Newcastle. In the spirit of Christmas surely no further cash is required? Ba humbug if Ashley & Co have spent the last wadge.

Do you need any Cole for Christmas?

We've got no money ! Just take him !!

Newcastle won't have Downing he is ex Sunderland and middelsborough

''Newcastle won't have Downing he is ex Sunderland and middelsborough'' - and he's useless!

20 Dec 2012 13:07:01
Great site eds

Just wondering with quaresma being released from his contract by besiktas, any chance we would take a chance on him?

Cheers {Ed002's Note - Quaresma has struggled somewhat since leaving Porto where much was expected of him when he was younger. Since leaving Porto he has been much lower profile and has had a number of clubs but not really settled. As he has had his contract with Besiktas cancelled he is a free agent and will probably be heading back to the Iberian peninsula - possibly with Porto.}

20 Dec 2012 12:51:14
Venger just stated on Sky that Walcott will not be going anywhere in January. Gazman

I'm not saying Theo Walcott IS coming or, IS leaving Arsenal at all for that matter. But it doesnt make a difference about what Arsene Wenger has said to be honest. Before we sold Torres it was "We want to keep him". Same situation at Arsenal - they want to keep him, reality and sense usually dictates otherwise however. More than likely Wengers way of saying he won't be leaving on the cheap. As for signing him, I think he'd be fantastic, but dont rate the chances of it happening very highly!

Os Red

I reckon he'll sign a new contract, he's just dicking Arsenal about.

Lee73

It's Wenger :| and Walcott probably will move

From a london point of view its been obvious down here that he would probably sign a new contract! I don't know what information you get up in liverpool?? {Ed002's Note - The posters have been told enough times that is the likely outcome.}

Wenger says that every year and look what happens every year

We will know when Walcott is gonna move, cos Wenger will make him captain first !
The Juicer

Wenger has said this a number of times before and been forced to sell through the board and if any club offers over £10m for Walcott are Arsenal really gonna keep him for a few more months and let him go for free, I doubt it.

20 Dec 2012 12:36:12
Sturridge - £12m

Tom Ince - £4m (replacing downing)

Jeffren £5m. he will come with Quaresma going to sporting. (replacing joe cole)

Philippe Coutniho - loan with option to buy for £8.5m in the summer

I wish on Coutihno.

Quaresma will go back to Porto.

FowlerGod.

Ha Ince replacing Downing

Philippe Coutniho is now on loan with Espanyol.

20 Dec 2012 12:32:05
Players that could interest us and players that wont be signing marked out of 10.

Huntelaar.....Looks set to sign a new contract at Schalke so the interest from us and Arsenal looks like will come to an end. 0/10

Loic Remy.....Interset from Newcastle as they look set to off load Ba. Marseille looking set to off load. Would fit in well and an asking price of around £9 mill. 3/10

Ballotelli.....Will leave in Jan. and no end off teams will queue for his signature. Attitude is a problem but that would evaporate if given a good run in the team. Would be an outstanding buy. Loan initially with a buy in summer. 5/10

John Guidetti.....Just signed a new contract but city looking to loan him out for season. Could do a job for us if there was a buy clause in the deal come the summer. 5/10

Nicolas Anelka.....Currently negotiating a way out of his contract and would love one last swansong in the EPL. Enjoyed his time and Liverpool and may just be persuaded to return to finish his career on free contract. Wages may be a sticking point though. 5/10

Salamon Kalou.....Signed for Lille in summer but has been told he can leave in Jan. BR knows his strengths from his time at Chelsea and would fit in well at Liverpool. No other interest at this time means BR could poach him in a cut price deal. 7/10

Lucas Biglia.....Been told by Anderlecht he can leave the club if some one will come in with a bid of around £9 mill. Been linked with us numerous times and been watched by scouts plenty over the past 12 months. Would be ideal cover should Lucas get injured again. 7/10

Tom Ince.....Almost done. Sold by KK 18 months ago would be available for £6 mill. With a 35% sell on clause coming back to us would mean he will cost just under £4 mill. If personal terms can be agreed expect him to be our first signing in the new year. 9.5/10

Daniel Sturridge.....Done deal if agents fee's can be sorted. This and his personal terms are all that now stand in the way to him being a Liverpool player. 9.5/10

I think that having seen glimpses of the way we play there are some good times ahead for LFC.

vrcomp
Y.N.W.A.

It sounded so good untill i got to the Ince part.

He was not Sold, his contract ran out as he could not agree terms with Liverpool. As a result Blackpool had to pay compensation. Around £50K. Therefore there cannot be any sell on clause and Liverpool will have to pay 100% of the fee.

Not quite right on Ince. Wasn't sold as his contract ran down and left as a free agent. No 35% as the club received £57k compo when he left - cheers red nick

20 Dec 2012 22:11:50
Please god neither Sturridge or Kalou - are we only looking at Chelsea and Swansea players - Rodgers needs a good window - after Borrini £10 mil over priced and Joe allen - £15m? Shouldnt be in the starting 11! But then again if Downing can play left back..........................

Mario Balotelli. Well you sound almost plausible until then...

20 Dec 2012 12:22:53
If anyone was to get Walcott at this day and age for £9m is quite a bargain but he wont be going anywhere,

FowlerGod.

20 Dec 2012 12:07:11
Darren bent on loan,possible?

No bents injured

Sooner have Darren Brown !!

I would prefer a move for benteke tbh

20 Dec 2012 10:09:37
Iv read that Butland is open to Prem League switch. Are Liverpool serious on this kid defo got potential and think he would be a great addition and would make sense to let pep go with jones signing deal and in good form. Are LFC looking to cash in on reina while he is worth something?

Thanks RedAds

He won't be moving to liverpool! The player is not seeking a move to anfield and would prefer to stay

Liverpool are not looking for a keeper, Reina is committed to Liverpool and Jones has recently signed a new contract. We also have Galucsi. We do not need or want another keeper!

Red Lee

Funny because I saw Jack Butland interviewed on TV and he pretty much said the speculation is all rubbish he is going nowhere and needs to play football and learn his trade with Birmingham.

hey eds gone work on this site.
just wondering what the situation with carrol is? i see a article about west ham wanting to terminate the loan in january? but thought they had agreed to a season long lone where they buy him at the end of the season for 17m? {Ed001's Note - the loan can be ended in January, there are clauses in it that allow for this to happen. If, by some miracle, we could find someone else to pay what we want for him, then he could be recalled and sold. West Ham will also have an option to pay a set amount and terminate the loan early.}

What article?

Carroll has played for 2 teams this season, he cannot sign for anyone else therefore he is not an option to sell in January even if we recalled him

Carrol can't play for anybody else this season as he's already played for Liverpool (Man City sub) and West Ham

Are any one interested in him Ed ?
Frankly we should sell even if someone offers 15 million and forget about it as a bad day when we bought him. Also any buyers for downing and Spearing ? {Ed001's Note - there is no interest in a January move for him, that I know of anyway.}

Daily Star, hmmm.
Carroll to Newcastle for Ba + cash at all possible Eds? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it.}

20 Dec 2012 22:16:47
get him back , grt off his back and give him some service - try watching the mess he made of terry last year and if KK had ahd the balls to play him the cup final we would of stood a far better chance.

20 Dec 2012 10:53:20
The Fee which would be involved in a deal for Walcott (9m give or take) is not an issue, Walcott is asking for a signing on fee + agent fees i think that there is a good chance he could become a Liverpool player

LFC93

He'll sign for Arsenal. Wenger would be a dead man(ager) walking if he allowed another player to join a rival club as he did with VP

20 Dec 2012 09:58:14
Ed, I know the Sturridge isn't 'done' and that it may always fall through, but I you had to say yes or no, would you say that Sturridge will become a Liverpool player in January? {Ed002's Note - It is likely that he will, but there are some issues that Chelsea need to resolve first.}

So Ed the delay(snag) in the Sturridge deal which the newspapers are referring to is from Chelsea's side ? {Ed002's Note - There is an issue agreeing the amount and who will pay the agent and "other representative" fees which Chelsea consider excessive.}

20 Dec 2012 09:24:09
Hi Eds,

We know the targets for our attacking options, but are we actively seeking a left back? I got a bit excited in the summer seeing us linked with Vargas of fiorentina, and Bastos of Lyon. Do you know if interest was genuine and will be rekindled? Obviously signing a left sided player would spark the end of Downing's stay, with Enrique seemingly back in favour with Rodgers.

Great work guys

Coily {Ed002's Note - Vargas was of interest to Liverpool during the summer but he is on a season long loan to Genoa so won't be moving in January. In respect of Bastos, the Lyon midfielder, de Kerchove has spoken with two clubs over the possibility of a January transfer to get his client out of France. Neither club is Liverpool.}

20 Dec 2012 09:04:19
eds is it possible and how often does it happen that we can agree to sign someone before the 1st of January and then they sign for us on the 1st? weve got sunderland and arsenal in january and really dont want to wait until they have beaten us before we sign a striker! {Ed002's Note - It is possible but I have no idea how often it happens. It'll take a day to process the paperwork but that is about it.}

Come on, have faith that even with our present squad we can beat Sunderland at least, maybe get a draw with Arsenal. I'm expecting 4 points at least from those games with or without new players.

Keith

I was expecting 3 points against villa but we all know what happened there! The old saying 'dont assume anything, it makes an ass out of u and me' springs to mind

20 Dec 2012 09:03:03
According to the Times. Sterling has signed a structured 5 year deal.
The Sturridge deal is in the balance the hold up is sell on fees and agents fees. Personal terms etc are all done and apparently he's eager to move.
There is a drive to cut agents fees as in the last 3 to 4 years LFC have paid £31.3m in agents fees, only Chelsea & Man City have spent more in the same time period? WTF
LFC may turn their attentions to Kevin Gameiro from PSG, if the Sturridge deal falls through??

20 Dec 2012 08:58:45
I'm not saying I wouldn't be happy with Sturridge but I think I'd be happier with Grameiro so I hope the rumours are true

20 Dec 2012 07:20:02
Hi Guys,

Maybe a silly question but could maybe Liverpool go fo Hulk? Is he available by any chance? I hope we do not get Sturridge as I don't think he is the right man for the job....Hopefully we will get a good transfer window this time.Also think that Walcott would be much better at LFC than Sterling. Sometimes he looks like he doesn't care and they take a ball of him quiet easily...ThX! {Ed002's Note - Hulk won't be moving to Liverpool in January.}

Yup! Silly question. Hulk is like Heskey: big bloke - falls over a lot.

I am really surprised that some eds here think that Jeffren is an option. Rodgers is looking to bring in inside forwards who are a bit of pace and have a decent goal-scoring record. Although a case can be made of Jeffren having pace, his goal-scoring record has not been good wherever he has played. In addition, he has failed to make the grade at Porto, I am pretty sure that alone rules him out.

On top of getting Ince and Sturridge, Rodgers will try to bring in the French striker Gameiro. Although reports today suggested that Gameiro will only be an option if the Sturridge deal fails, my understanding is that BR will still try to bring him on loan if Walcott does not come. Gameiro's game would suit LFC's 4-3-3. He good (and fast) with the ball, he plays with his head up, and he scores goals either as a central striker or by playing as an inside forward on the left or right.

3 attackers, 1 defensive midfielder, and a leftback are the targets for Jan. In this case, the targeted attackers will be Ince, Sturridge, and Walcott/Gamiero. {Ed002's Note - Jeffren is an option because Liverpool made an approach to Sporting Lisbon about him.}

So you're saying Ince, Sturridge AND Gameiro could all be coming in. Along with Suarez, Sterling & Borini, how on earth will Brendan keep them all happy? Is Ince going to give up first team football to be a reserve player for us? Will Sterling be happy to go back to the reserve team on his new enormous contract? Is Gameiro happy to be a bit-part player? Is Sturridge so desperate to leave Chelsea where they have only one recognised striker on their books barring himself that he'll come to us and rotate with another 5? Is it that Suarez will be sold to the highest bidder to line the FSG pockets?? Or is it that maybe, just maybe, you're regurgitating rumours from newspapers and talking a load of pony?

Hey eds, I have been reading that if the Sturridge deal falls through, we will look to Kevin Gameiro. My question is, how much of a possibility could it be that we look to purchase maybe both of them? {Ed002's Note - Interest in Gameiro seems very much like speculation to me following on from potential interest in the past. I would certainly not expect both players to arrive.}

Had it confirmed Ince, Sturridge, Walcott, Butland & Vargas will be joining LFC next month! With Downing, Coates, Doni, Cole, Spearing, Pacheco & Wilson leaving!

Cheers DALEY1

Hope I remember to use the archive feature to check on your accuracy Feb.1

Why are we apparently selling 2 centre backs?

Coates will not leave...Not enough cover

Had it confirmed all of these will not be joining LFC next month!.

Leeb7rrd.

Spearing is already out on loan and wouldn't sign a perminant deal in the summer.

Pacheco has long been available and no one has touched him.

Who is your source that not only knows who Liverpool intend to sign but also that of all clubs interested in Liverpool players.

Must be in the know at at least 7 clubs.

Sounds like a handy source to have.

Liverpool cabbie

Don't talk balls, we need CB's for start! Cole andDowning will go if they can be sold...

Why would we be selling Coates, he's actually a very good player

Yeh sounds about right. We have martin kelly who rigionally started out as a CB moving bk into that role as we now have wisdom competing with GJohno for RB. Wilson and Coates are not of the level required and will free up monies. Vargas is a great option, lets just hope he stays fit!

Jay

Vargas is on loan at Genoa so can't really move in Jan?

You had me until you said "Walcott, Butland & Vargas"
