Fresh reports from the newspapers that there is a 72mill bid for Cout from Barca.

Any eds know if there is any truth to this?

If Keita is valued by us at 66/ 70. we shouldn't be entertaining nothing under 100 million, even then I wouldn't want to sell, Coutinho at this current time is irreplaceable and we'd look like fools yet again to be selling our most influential player.

It's exactly the same as Everton buying all there players for 90 mil and all of a sudden getting exactly that back for lukaku.

Spurs buying all there players for 106 mil and just happening to get 96 mil back.

There is no way on this planet we go from 60 mil last year with ed002 whose always spot on saying we were over spending and couldn't compete with the likes of United and city. To over spending them near 150 mil without actually being in the champions league yet, counting on sakho, Lucas, Stewart and Moreno sales.

All that's holding it up I think is the unexpected stubbornness of rb.

Mark my words as soon as keita is announced, cou will and then vvd will.

I'm sad because if we were in United's position and didn't have to sell we would be winning the league with Keita and vvd added and no-one leaving.

If keita doesn't happen which looks highly likely I don't think we will sign a CM.

We will keep Can if Keita isn't coming and our midfield options will be Coutinho, Henderson, Wij, Lallana, Can and Grujic. We could even move Firmino into an attacking midfield position and drop Coutinho even deeper and use Solanke, Origi or Sturridge upfront as the central striker with Salah and Mane outwide.

Exciting options from midfield going forward.

Don't see how we need a CM unless we know Henderson injury is serious and will return this year. His energy did go a miss at times last year.

hes not half as good as Keita nor as consistent. He's good but Im not sure the point in spending huge money on someone that isn't greatly improving the starting line up. if we don't get keita we should use the money to invest elsewhere.

I agree with Jordz, we aren't trying to sign Keita because we are in need of a cm. We have plenty (unless he is a replacement for couts which I doubt and hope not)
We are trying to sign him because he is one hell of a talent and has a bright future a head of him and we would be stupid not too. One of lfc's philosophies is to buy young talented prospects which will be either be great straight away, or a major future prospect, and he is both xD.
