Who would people prefer competing with is for CL man city or everton?

20 May 2011 22:15:27
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish insists it will be "disrespectful'' to his current squad not to make top-quality signings in the summer but also did not rule out a return for some familiar faces.

20 May 2011 22:03:22
Vertongen could be a surprise target for LFC. Agger is too prone to injury who will provide back up for Vertongen.
Vertongen is also a target for Arsenal, however he could snub Arsenal to play along side Suarez at LFC.

hi ed, just heard we are in for lennon of spurs would be a good buy, quick, good crosser and english, have you heard anything about this.

Fields Of Anfield Road Facebook page isn't Koptalk! I asked him and this is what he said: No, nor do we wish to be. Let me tell you something about them; the site is run by a scarborough lad who lives in Spain and charges mugs for crap so called news.
His response right ed?? {Ed007's Note - I have no idea, sorry. I'm sure other LFC fans know more about it than I do}

20 May 2011 21:45:08
Please Please PLEASE - stop this Aguero stuff guys. I'd love him at LFC but it will never happen, his wages would criple us! He's due for a pay rise at atl Madrid which would put him in the top 3 or 4 best paid players in the world! To put it simply, it would be financial suicide! 4 year contract 150-200k pw - you do the maths! CB, LB, LW, RW are priotities. My personel choice would be Sakho, Controa (spelling) happily settle for Baines tho, Johnson/Mata no preference and some quality for the right not sure who though. I think these players are well within our reach. Keep up the good workd ed's - please post in rumours

My sources tell me that young and benzema are nailed on. Anyone else received this infomation?

20 May 2011 21:02:29
having read every post on here for the past year, some unrealistic! it is evident that Liverpool will be in a strong position in approx 2 years with the reserves and youth progressing the way they are, so for the immediate future Liverpool need to look at a solid center half (injury free) a decent left back and one/two wingers, and what this looks like is center half Dann or Cahill, left back Baines or Enrique and either one or two of these wingers Johnson, Young or Downing. the thought of a forward line up of Carroll up top Suarez behind supported by ideally Johnson LW and Young RW, with Gerrard and or Lucas, Merieles or Spearing in the Center mid. please post in rumours because i'm sure this is what most supporters would like to see at Anfield.

dont know if anyones already posted but inter seem to be looking at banega, tevez also, juve and aguero seems like the usual games of an agent playing one off another, juve's intrest seems to be in a number of real players, on the aqua front juve don't seem to want to spend more than 10 mil euros, i think they have the intention to sell on for a profit plus speaking to juve fans they could'nt care less for him so maybe a return home to rome is an option, personally he can go back to where he came from not once in interveiws (italian)does he accnoledge liverpool except to say how much he wants to stay in italy(juventus).anyway big big excpectations in the italian transfer market, inter want hazzard, tevez and from porto fernando.milan allready have taiwo, mexes, they're gonna splash the cash on any number of players.juve as allways sound the alarms, roma, who knows seems the new owner really wants a n american player, anyway sorry for the long post, if i've bored yous all let me know if not i'll try to do a daily update on what i read and hear over in italy.

My source in holland has told me sneijder mentioned man u and liverpool as teams he would play for , however champions league football is a must for him so we are out of the running .No truth in the rumour that jan verthongen coming in he looks set to stay for one more year at ajax.One gathering momentom however is liverpools intrest in feyenoords wijnaldum and young 17yr old winger cabral both deals should nly set lfc back 8mill. This is certain to happen also heard about lfc interest in hulk, young and perotti.My english friend also said about scott dann and james tomkins comin in , u here any of them eds?

just saw this on twitter does anyone agree?
Breaking news player to win most consistent signing of 2011 is Torres for £50 mil. Consistently crap

20 May 2011 17:41:50
not sure where everyone is getting all these rumours from because kk has said everything will be done the liverpool way behind closed doors.

20 May 2011 17:39:48
All these rumours of Torres coming back are rubbish!
Would you take him back? I wouldnt!
I have heard strong things from sources about Ashley Young. .

20 May 2011 17:17:19

I have not made this up am not that sad!. Ive got this from a very relieable source. Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish insists it will be "disrespectful" to his current squad not to make top-quality signings in the summer but also did not rule out a return for some familiar faces.

THE BIG MAN.

20 May 2011 16:44:22
Ed, do you think Gary Hooper or Shane Long would be a good value signing as a squad player instead of forking out mass money for say Gomez (who I do rate highly) or Lavezzi (who I don't rate) or the like? Think either of these would be a great squad player. Also, the news on Alex Chamberlain has gone really quiet, have you heard anything? {Ed002's Note - Would they wish to sit on the bench?}

20 May 2011 16:37:52
alonso is in talks to come back kk wants him here to steady the ship with the spanish speaking players to come in as gerrard only wants to talk to the english lads england this england that why do u think we got carroll yes he spat his dummy out again one more season out of him then alonso to take the armband

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I 100% know that this is absolute rubbish. .

20 May 2011 16:35:21
Alonso is not coming back. The guy is still a Liverpool fan but won't be heading back from Spain. LFCtv are there to interview him but it's nothing to do with re-signing. He has a lot of respect for the club and a great deal of respect from it. Not many former players remembered to mention the Hillsbrough families a few weeks ago. Xabi did. Great player and unfortunately we let him go. Keeping relations good with former players helps signing new ones. If Xabi only has good things to say about this club, then the Banegas, Bojans and Matas who ply their trade in Spain are far more likely to head this way.

Eds

Do you think there is any chance of us signing Adam Johnson or does it all depend on what happens to Mancini?

I would love to see him at the club, he can run with the ball and cross.

Also, I like your idea of Scott Dann possibly signing. i think he could be a great addition to the squad. Just need a good left back, I like the idea of Clichy and possibly another winger, Ashley Young or Arda Turan on the otherside to Johnson, and I think we will be looking good for next season.

I really don't think we need that many players with the way some players have improved under KK (Lucas and Spearing are great examples, didn't rate either last season) {Ed002's Note - There may be a slim chance of Johnson.}

20 May 2011 15:49:54
I would be delighted with the signings of Scott Dann, Jose Enrique, Ashley Young, Adam Johnson or Juan Mata and Mario Gomez.

Would really allow us to challenge for the top four again!

Hi Eds,
Apparently Pirlo's agent has said he is goin to join Juventus in close season, do u think this will effect Juventus signing Aqualani.
If your were to name 3 decent signings that we had a v good chance of signing ie 7/8/9 out of 10 who would they be

Rebel_red {Ed002's Note - There is a good chance of Pirlo's signature impacting on Aquilani. I have made enough guesses already about players signing. Marveaux, perhaps Dann.}

20 May 2011 15:27:00

Lads STOP with the Aguero rumours ya making ya self look stupid. And eds can we block all this koptalk s**te I'm sick of reading about aguero. We're not going to sign him end of ed02 ya crack me up with ya sarcasm, keep up the good work(1)
--------------------------------------------------------
Stop suckin up 2 the Eds m8. No1 knows who is or who int coming, the club will do it behind closed up. We av 2 wait n c, but never say never 2 anything in football. Let fans talk about who they want!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Lad firstly I'm not sucking up to the eds. Secondly anything is possible in football that's why I've put a tena on Blackpool to win premises next year lol There is a 0.1% chance that Aguero will sign for us but let's face it, we will not pay his wage demands when players like stevey are on £130 grand. Citi have more chance than us. We need to be realistic about who we will sign. I'm sick of reading what are the chances of him signing for us. I suppose ya think nando's comin back fa 25 mill do ya? Ed what are the chances of Aguero and Torres signing out of 10? Lol {Ed002's Note - 1, 0}

20 May 2011 15:04:22
I see Graeme Hunter has again said that Enrique is a done deal. What do you think ed, is he likely to be our first signing? {Ed002's Note - I cannot say if he will be the first.}

20 May 2011 14:59:14
Stevan Jovetic to liverpool will be happening this summer he rejected us last summer and tbh who could blame him a club in financial crisis roy hodgson as manager and players not sure if they wanna be here he has been out of action for at least 6 months now but wen we played them in champs league a few years ago he tore us to bits him and vargas who could also be a possiblillity believe me Jovetic is S**t Hot guessing he would be available for around £16m which to me seems to be a good deal simular type player to benayoun buh alot better

20 May 2011 14:58:21
Sneijder wants to play for Liverpool he knows champions league football is only round the corner for liverpool with the progress where making. Trust me this will happen. Aquilani looking the likeliest replacement. Man united won't go in for him as they are in talks with adam of blackpool.

20 May 2011 14:43:47
Being norwegian and a Rosenborg fan i can say that Marcus Henriksen would be a great young signing who will become a good player under Dalglish in the future. He has great passing abilities and defensive skills. he can be as great as Adam or Gerrard with shots and passing

20 May 2011 14:37:43
is Vargas a lb or winger {Ed002's Note - A wing back come winger.}

20 May 2011 14:36:19
ED, who do you actually expect to join us, or at least who has the best chances? And no i won't shout when you don't say Messi and Aguero. I know that we have realistic targets and i appreciate that we don't have to buy big names in order to get the best players. I would rarther spend less on a quality player that i might not have heard of than spend loads on a big name. We are not Man City! {Ed002's Note - I don't want to speculate because if you don't shout others will. If I said Marveaux, maybe Dann, perhaps Vargas etc others would scream "No Neymar you ****?"}

20 May 2011 14:22:19
Markus Henriksen of Rosenborg is according to norwegian media a Liverpool target for the summer. he is a young and very talented boy. he is only 18 years old. offensive midfielder, with lots of potensial. he has already got international football under his belt for Norway. you should watch out for this guy.

Christian Poulsen;
Of course it s been a difficult season for me, he said. I came under Roy Hodgson and halfway through the season he left but I have still had some good times here.
I am feeling settled here with my family. I have three kids now and we had a baby in February who was born in Liverpool.
What I miss of course is playing more but I hope the future will be brighter for me at Liverpool.
I have two years of my contract left so yes I think my future will be here.

Don't think this crazy money thirsty Blondie ballshyt will ever leave LFC, I hope LFC terminate his contract!
What a waste of money! heard 50,000K per week! Oooh lots of Money, Money Money, easy Money!

What did ya think of ED? do you think he will leave LFC this summer?

{Ed002's Note - I am expecting him to leave, even if takes tearing up his contract to make him a free agent.}

20 May 2011 14:10:15
Dear Ed,

Liverpool seem to be in the best position at the moment to sign Ashley Young but somehow I get the feeling he is not the primary target for LFC. However with his great experience in the EPL, he would definitively suit King Kenny's system and style. The reason is I believe players like Hazard are not truly wingers and tend to drift inside. Do you rate Young highly? and what's your opinion on N Zgobia? How much do you think Liverpool should pay for Young in your opinion?

20 May 2011 13:56:40
Ed
Liverpool what is the future on Aqualani?
Red Goat

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed in my view. Liverpool are trying very hard to offload the player. I expect him to join Juventus.}

20 May 2011 13:51:55
wesley snejider to Lfc with Aqua going to Inter, nailed on!

20 May 2011 13:51:22
Hi Ed
I normally hesitate to post due to a lack of knowlege on forgien players, recently i have been watching football from all leagues and a player that has stood out to me is Ever Banega, what are the possibilities of us signing him? {Ed002's Note - A good shout as there have been links in the past. However I rather think the chances of him moving to Anfield are remote and he seems to be Inter bound.}

20 May 2011 13:43:33
to the fella who said "one name wesley snieder" how do you know this really? would he really come and not play champions league football? i hate to say it but there is more chance of him going to the mancs

20 May 2011 13:34:00
Liverpool will never sign Kun Augero he costs far too much money and will seek champions league football if he leaves. Some people on this site live in a fantasy world Hazzard will sign for a big italian club Mata is nearly a man city player and there is no intrest in turan even though he is a fan of the club. Lakaku will go to chelsea but i here somthing has already been done with young so not all bad news

Raj

20 May 2011 13:24:15
Any truth to this Diego rumours or is it re-hashed stuff?

20 May 2011 13:23:01
To the guy who posted about Sneijder, I have heard similiar rumour, Aquaman plus cash. Eds, Have you heard anything ? {Ed002's Note - No.}

20 May 2011 13:21:05
Just what i heard liverpool was looking to sign 4 players: first signing and im really sure about it is sylvain marveaux where the deal has already done, the second is ashley young where they already in talk, the third is vargas, but i didn't know him well The last is one more back up striker, and i choose miroslav klose, how about it eds can you rate the chance we signing them??. {Ed002's Note - Aside from Klose they are possible. Klose is probably too old to consider and certainly would cost to much in wages and signing on fee.}

20 May 2011 13:04:15
One Name. . . WESLEY SNEIJDER. Believe me he is joining Liverpool F.C this transfer window.

20 May 2011 13:03:30
Arda Turan will be the suprise signing. He has been told by Dalglishs staff and scouts that he will be brought to liverpool. Liverpool aren't declaring it because they don't want anyone to put a 20million bid in to make LFC's bid having to go over that. Arda Turan will come to LFC in the first week of the International Transfer Market opening.

apparantly arshavin cud be leaving arsenal in the summer, do u rekon we cud be tempted??

20 May 2011 12:35:22
Ed can u tell me in your view where Liverpool need strengthening besides the Left back and Left Midfield position? and what do you think of Scott Dann when compared to Gary Cahill. who is more consistent? {Ed002's Note - I think Scott Dann is a much better option than Cahill, but it will be necessary to ensure he is fully fit - which may be a while yet.}

20 May 2011 12:28:01
Hai Ed. I know that Liverpool FC will have a busy summer ahead. I would like your opinion on the Eden Hazard situation. This guy is 20 years old and has won the French Ligue with Lille and will be playing in the Champions League next season. How do rate the chances of him joining Liverpool? and if Liverpool were to buy Charlie Adam. would he be suitable in a deeper holding role because seems that Spearing and Lucas are doing a solid job and there is Gerrard to come in as well. Could you tell what you think? {Ed002's Note - If you look down the posts even just for today there is pleanty on Hazard. I am not the person to ask about Adam as he does not strike me as a sensible buy.}

20 May 2011 12:43:24
I posted early that phil Thompson told us that nzogbia and young deals where pretty much done. He also said there will be a surprise signing, he didn't state who Only my second post, great site eds. Marchy

20 May 2011 12:18:34
Just a quick question to the eds, do you expect DAgger to still be at the club next season?, its just with all the hype about signing a CB I can't see him being happy if he has to drop to the bench, I hope not as he is our only cb who can actually pass the ball well and bring it outta defence, he's had his injurieslike but I'd give him another year {Ed002's Note - I don't expect him to leave unless he wants to and a good offer comes in.}

20 May 2011 12:13:49
i agree with you ed on diego's condition, but don't you think he is a top quality player.At juventus it didn't work out for him, he was good in times, though. At wolfsburg, he has problem with magath but at werder, he was a show stopper. And at liverpool under Kenny, he will blossom. I hope he is at kenny's list. He can be a huge bargain for us. If not he can be sold at a very min damage as his price is something close to 10m only. Thanks. .

20 May 2011 12:08:02
Hi, not so much rumour as reflections on rumours (don't know whether that's more 'banter', or 'squad' squad even, but I've only got time to read one )

I reckon we could do a lot worse than pick up two or three oldies who want to be here, supplemented by a couple 'potentials for the future', freeing up big cash for one (or two) top class player(s).

For the 'oldies' I reckon Friedel (back-up/coaching) and Warnock (ex-player, sold on prematurely by ex-boss, wants to leave Villa, more than capable back-up) would be cheap and solid, as well as knowing what LFC are all about. And we could do a lot worse than having a punt on Parker (if he'd venture north. .)

Potential for the future: maybe Jarvis/Dann/Jones or
Adam, and any one of them young French chaps that Comolli seems so keen on - Matuidi, Sissokho, M'Villa, Payet, Marveaux etc (etc). I'd put N'Zogbia in this bracket as well - not a HUGE signing, but a solid squad addition.

Then to the 'marquee' signing - surely to make the major difference it would have to be on the wings: from England I'd rather go for Adam Johnson over Young, but either would be good. From abroad, Mata, Hazard, or Turan.

Lavezzi, Honda or even bloody Aguerro would obviously fall into the 'massive' signing category, but I can't really see where they'd fit in - all 'top drawer' and adaptable, but surely we need specific roles filled: at LB, both wings, plus cover/potential at centre-back (Carragher . .& Agger ) and central-midfield (Gerrard).

Whilst desirable, I can't help feeling that Baines and Cahill seem to be fraught with over-inflation/bidding war potential, and I'm not convinced by Enrique, or Clichy's commitment to the cause.

And finally I'm in agreement about this much vaunted defensive-midfield position: defence starts at the front and is a whole team's responsibility - Rush's goals were only part of the story. .

Looking forward to the summer - it's gonna be interesting

20 May 2011 12:06:50
well, well, well once again ed its time for you to eat your words. aquaman will once again wear the red of liverpool.

Lee the red {Ed002's Note - Fine.}

20 May 2011 12:04:18
well done damien. Taye Taiwo was up for grabs and moved to AC for free when we had an opportunity to get him. He is probably the best african LB in the world with a bags of pace and has an absolute weapon of a left boot and is an absolute brick.

=(

{Ed002's Note - There was no opportunity to get Taiwo. He first choice was always Benfica and then AC Milan if Benfica was not available. It is not like the club screwed up.}

so ed,
will liverpool sign young in the summer

It's approaching mid-day; so what is press conference that everyone was talking about since yesterday? SingRed {Ed002's Note - I suspect if there is one planned - and I haven't looked at all - it is simply a pre-game press conference. I doubt there will be any show stopping news.}

20 May 2011 11:55:18
Hi ed,
who do you think we will sign in the summer really that is will happen in your opinion.
thanks
Stevo :) {Ed002's Note - As I have mentioned before speculation brings enormous amounts of grief. If I were to say Marveaux, Scott Dann, Perotti and Vargas for example folks would be screaming abuse at me.}

20 May 2011 11:54:25
Skrtel has been consistent all season hardly ever injured - Agger is a better defender just so injury prone, we need somebody as tough as Skrtel and as comfortable on the ball as Agger - Skrtel will be here next season, Agger may not.

This person is Giorgio Chiellini. However, he is off to Madrid. A cheaper, more realistic alternative would be Sakho or Hummels.

20 May 2011 11:53:49
Just read about Diego from Wolfburg for £9m. Apparently he's flattered by Liverpool interest.
Good signing I reckon. {Ed002's Note - Should Liverpool take a risk on a player who was thrown out of Juventus after a year (Juve taking a £10M loss on the transfer) and who has since walked out on Wolfsburg three times this year? I appreciate the situation at Wolfsburg is dire under Magath and the new regime. The player is in Brazil at present and Wolfsburg are trying to get Keisuke Honda in as a replacement.}

20 May 2011 11:48:11
I read that LFC are thinking of making a bid for diego for abt 10 mil. I think that would be a great buy. We still lack creativity in my opinion. I also heard something abt Pastore who is a great player and could be what we need, but the price is too high and he will probably want champ lg football. We need more creative players, not just wingers that can do a job. Lavezzi is another good option.

20 May 2011 11:47:20
WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? ED?

{Ed002's Note - Please don't send posts more than one.}

20 May 2011 11:44:03

Liverpool have offered £2mil for Manchester citys Michael Johnson. Kenny thinks the lad can still reach his potential. The lad has had a few injury problems but given time could turn out to be a real bargain.

El diablo

. . . .

I thought Johnson was class a couple of years back.
I think we were looking at him then to be the new gerrard.
My worry would be that he's struggled for the last few years and he put a hell of a lot of weight on , don't know how he now.

Hi ed just wondering with all this talk of players coming in who would you consider to be the bigger contenders to leave in the summer?

Cheers mate

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to speculate beyond the "usual" list of suspects, Aquilani, Poulsen, Jovanovic etc.. I don't think there are any "shock" departures likely.}

hazard for 17 million.

"just to let u know tomorrows press conference will be about the new kit sponser i thought i read somewhere that a us sports company was giving us 100 million over 4 years.i think it was warrior orsomething have you heard this ed, or anyone
kopknight"

I heard this mate. Warrior are our new kit provider after the deal with adidas ceases. It's a british record kit deal. Apparently Warrior is a subsidery of New Balance, who incidently have just signed a massive deal with one of John Henrys' teams in the us. Looking forward to seeing what they provide us with. In regards to transfers, I think Charlie Adam would be a great addition to our squad, along with some good, young english players - Cahill (although I think he prefers Arsenal), Young, Dann etc.
Great site Ed's {Ed002's Note - You are a year early for the new kit. It doesn't come in until 2012.}

Steve Clark:
"We have a decent squad here, a lot of good players at the club, they've shown that for us. If we can find two or three players that can add to the squad, that's what we should do, but if we don't find players who can improve us we've got enough to move us forward".
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well Steve I don't think that's a good idea No doubt we have good players in our Squad but when compared to the useless poor players we had they are a very small portion, certainly not enough to win the title or to qualify for Champions league
What can we get from the likes of Poulsen, Konchesky, Joe Cole, Jovanovic, Kyrgiakos, Brad Jones, Ngog.
Kenny & You have done an excellent job by using the poor squad we have since you came in But you can't do that forever especially next season as everyone will improve their squad
You might not get the players you want (which was by the way very disappointing for a club like Liverpool) but I WANT YOU & KENNY TO KICK ALL THOSE MONEY THIRSTY USELESS DEADWOOD OUT OF LFC & give the young stars the chance. The likes of Pacheco, Suso, Sterling, Eccelston, Ince & Gulacis.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
My guess is that Steve Clark made these comments in public so other clubs don't know how desperate we are to buy their players. If it's not seen as a matter of urgency then maybe other clubs won't hike their prices too high when we come knocking?

20 May 2011 10:41:21
We are either signing Izaguirre or Enrique for the vacant left back position, I'd prefer Izaguirre tbh, he's been class this season for Celtic
Great sight Eds

20 May 2011 10:33:51
Lille have shown some interest in Jovanovic.

It's said that we could involve him in a deal involving Hazard. Obviously, part-exchanges very rarely happen (and I still doubt Hazard will end up at Anfield), but it's good to know that there is interest in the players we're looking to offload.

I'm hoping we can get rid of the deadwood swiftly and get on with trying to wrap up deals for transfer targets.

Hi Ed

What are your thoughts on the following. I strongly believe that we won't sign any of the names being touted about i.e Young, Mata, Hazard.

I would like us to sign Glichy as he is a better option than enrique.

I think that we can expect to see,

Gomez (Loan)
Jarvis
Parker
Payet

{Ed002's Note - The jury seems to be out on Clichy and I wonder if Baines is an option. Enrique seems to remain favourite for no reason other than Liverpool having Phil Thompson blurt it out on Norwegian television. I really cannot see Bayern Munich letting Gomez go out on loan. I have no thoughts about Jarvis at all and Parker does not seem to fit the profile the club will be looking for. Payet is a strong possibility of course.}

20 May 2011 10:12:17
liverpool to sign forlan? are people being serious? he was worse than terrible for man u and that's being kind and he has to be at least 32 now as well if people think we should buy players on a nationality basis so our players can have a play mate they are being ridiculous.

Morning Ed002,

Just wondering on a scale of 1-10 what your sarcasm level is at the moment, you seem quite calm this morning.

If I mention, Aguero, Mata, Hazard & Torres in the same breath as a 1-10 scale will this send it to a level most readers are used to?

Maybe I should get the ball rolling for today's daft rumour and ask. . if Man City have denied that they are interested in signing Ronaldo, do you think it could be Liverpool after him instead?

Enjoy your posts throughly Ed002.

dmedly {Ed002's Note - You are right, I seem to be pretty good this morning and very calm. I was wondering when the first "Ronaldo nailed on to Liverpool" post would arrive. And it has to have some legs to it. In that photograph that was published this morning of Ronaldo taking a swing at Mourinho, you can cleary see his Liver Bird (LFC) tattoo as his shirt rode up. What bigger clue could there be?}

Ed pleaze put this in rumour and banter so everyone can se.
Mavaux deal has finally been agreed. Camollis now waiting for the windo to open and wrap the deal. Its been difficult getting this news, am sure the papers will catch on soon, but remember where and when you first saw it.
Also the centreback Roland Romeyer from etiene will be joining as well. Don't know him but my people in france tell me hes class. We should wait and see. Will bring you more when something comes up.
Again ed put this in rumour and banter so it can be seen by everyone.

ashley young fee only agreed it is between 14-16 million, personal terms to be done after sunday, announcement likely to be early july if deal is complete, if young picks up serious injury sunday we will not sign him, commolli has got a long list of people, aguero will not be joining this summer at least, young the closest deal to be done, outs will be the usual suspects any one who isn't been in the majority of the squads under kenny will be shifted including joe cole, ngog had interest from west ham but is unsure about going down a division, source is dads brother is high up in the scouting division at anfield and has been placed to oversee signing of uk based signings while DC does the rounds in europe

long time reader first time poster. i would love hulk at liverpool. i think i would cut my own hand off to sign him. is there any realistic chance of signing him? {Ed002's Note - Not in my view. I think your hand is safe and Hulk will stay at Porto for another year.}

20 May 2011 09:42:33
The only chance Liverpool of signing KaKa is to sign the one from Braga.
I do think their will be big name signings but you have to be careful what you wish for, We need a team and not a bunch of individuals,
I think Osvaldo from espanyol would be one to look out for and worth enquiring about.

20 May 2011 09:34:45
Just to clarify, for the people still banging on about Aguero's agent being in Liverpool.

Maxi and Aguero don't share the same agent, only the same agency the guy in Liverpool was Maxi's guy, not Ken's.

Sean

Poulsen wants to stay and fight for his place. Dont like slagging players, but don't think hes cut out for LFC. We should move him on. Eds do you agree he should stay, or go. {Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure that he will be sold for a nominal amount in the summer or his contract will be torn up. Either way, I think it most unlikely he will eb at Liverpool next season.}

20 May 2011 09:02:46
Do you agree with this ed

"As well do you think that we to go and sign a back up keeper as i think players like Hansen, Gulacsi should be given the chance to play as they look very good" or do you think there is a need to sign someone like Brad Friedel maybe even Robert Green or someone alone that line of standard to cover Reina if he were to get injured or suspend
RED-JUDO {Ed002's Note - I think it is unlikely that Robert Green will make the move to sit on the bench behind Reina. Friedel will be happier to do that. I wonder if the club are simply hedging their bets?}

Perhaps that Macca character was on to something afterall.

20 May 2011 08:43:11
Ed, why do you think there is only a very minimal chance of getting hazard? When lots of people saying there is 'major interest', and a couple of sites are even saying 'a formal £20m bid has been made'

{Ed002's Note - Hazard signed a new contract with Lille and if he cannot get a move that suits him (Barcelona and Real Madrid were his preference) then he could stay and play in the Champions League next year. Juventus are very keen but cannot offer football at the highest level right now. Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid, Spurs and Barcelona have shown interest or admiration for the player. I would not be surprised to see Manchester United throw their hat in to the ring as well. If he does move and I was pushed for an answer, I think he could end up in Italy, possibly at Inter. The recent Liverpool bid rumours seem to be little more than the recycling of the story of Damian Comolli asking to be kept informed of any movements for the player and this is several weeks old.}

20 May 2011 08:39:45
Ed.

What do you think the chances (out of 10) are of signing these players this summer:

Eden Hazard
Marko Marin
Fabio Coentrao
Sergio Aguero
Bojan Krkic
Juan Manuel Mata
Kevin De Bruyne

{Ed002's Note - 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 2}

20 May 2011 08:30:59
Would love to see four or five world class players come and they are:
Eden Hazard,
Juan Mata,
Fabio Coentrao
Giorgio Chiellini
Mario Gomez
I know that this would cost a lot of money if we were to sign these players but surely they would help the team to become better and help us kick on to win titles. This would help add a different style of play if things are going wrong. Big name players would help bring money in through shirt sales so it could be a possibility to part with large amounts of money as we could make return through this

As well do you think that we to go and sign a back up keeper as i think players like Hansen, Gulacsi should be given the chance to play as they look very good

2.yann mvila
3.romelu lukaku

20 May 2011 07:04:34
LFC will sign Matuidi, Young, Friedel, Parker, Mata, Cissokho, Jones, Benzema and Vertonghen if Agger leaves (a bid of 10m needs to come in.)

20 May 2011 06:10:55
Hey Ed. Obviously, we will be picking up a Lb for next season. Who do you see as three most probable contenders? Also, what has happened with the rumours surrounding Ansaldi from Kazan? Thanks for the good work. {Ed002's Note - Enrique seems to be the player most likely to join. Vargas strikes me as a better solution, certainly from the attacking perspectives. I think Ansaldi has agreed a move to Roma.}

Heard rumors we've agreed a deal for Young and its going to be announced tommorow. BUT I don't know where this has come from as we play Villa on Sunday and I don't think Liverpool would announce that deal until next week at earliest out of respect for Villa and their management team (If we even did agree one), also they'll want him playing because they'll still want the 3 points. I think an announcement on the stadium situation may be made though, what do you think Ed ?
