Hi Eds,

Hope you're all keeping well.
Is there any interest in Danny Ward? It doesn't look like he's going to get a look in at Liverpool and I read today that Chris Coleman may be interested to take him to Sunderland along with Woodburn and Wilson having worked with them at Wales.

{Ed001's Note - he is injured at the moment.}

Is he? He played for Wales last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - did he? He has been suffering with injuries, I never checked to see if he is fit now or not, the club have certainly not mentioned he has returned to fitness. Hmmm that is not a good sign.}

Thanks for the initial reply Ed001. Much appreciated.
I can also confirm he played for Wales last week, so hopefully there hasn't been a fallout behind the scenes at the club.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - that is very worrying as he is really upset about not being allowed to go on loan to Huddersfield.}

To be fair mate, I can understand his frustration.
If they didn't have intentions to give him a run, then it seems silly not to at least have a look at what he can do at Premier level at a club he's happy and familiar with and Klopp knows the manager well enough for honest feedback. especially given the 2 keepers 'in front' of him are hardly pulling up trees. He's lost a year of his playing career and Liverpool are seemingly no closer to gaining an established long-term number 1.

Ed01 I was at the wales game v panama and ward did indeed play the full 90 minutes. there was whispers after the game that Danny had asked for a summer loan and then again for a loan this January. both were rejected and ward is said to have had a significant training ground bust up with karius in the days following. he's unhappy and desperate for a move. look into it mate and get back to us 😉.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - we know he is unhappy and after a loan move. He was gutted to be blocked from rejoining Huddersfield for the season and his unhappiness has only grown after not even making the bench since in the league. I will ask and see if things have got worse though and if he was just ignored rather than injured.}

I’ve heard that he is the problem Ed. Not a question of ability.

Blocking him from going there was literally the worst decision we could have made. It is one of few loans we do that the player gets first team chances every week.

{Ed002's Note - He will be looking to move on permanently in the summer.}

Reading both juventus and dortmund have enquired about the avaliability of young rhian Brewster. Any truth in this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Juventus have made an enquiry about Rhian Brewster but I am not aware there has been one from Dortmund just yet - but they are spending a lot of time looking at younger British players and they have the benefit of giving them chances.}

Thanks for reply ed. Be a shame to lose another young talent.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Of course but it is the age old problem of money and guarantees. I suspect he will stay.}

If I were young and growing up in the academy of a Premier league team, i would jump at the chance to go to Dortmund, or other European clubs that play to a decent standard. I know money makes the world go round and all; but playing football at a high level has to be the best thing for a footballer wanting a career in the game.
