Not so much a rumour, but i saw Paco Ayestaran our former assistant in Liverpool city centre today with a suitcase. I know it was him as he used to come into my work place every so often. Maybe he is making a return or just possibly visiting friends? Would love him to return to us as he was a major part of Benitez's success with us and he is a free agent having left Valencia this year. Anyway, would love to see Scott Dann at our club this year and also Aly Cissokho. Would also be good to see Mata but not too sure he will come to us regardless of our friendly with Valencia!! Not too fussed about Adam as i believe he was a good player in a bad team just like N'zogbia!! Keep up the good work ed's

Liverpool are in talks for AS Roma goalkeeper Julio Sergio today.
The Reds are turning to Julio Sergio after being knocked back by fellow Roma keeper Alexandre Doni last week.
Roma sports chief Walter Sabatini is in England this week for transfer talks with several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.
Liverpool's offer of &euro, 1 million-a-year to Doni is what Julio Sergio is currently on at Roma.
But the Brazilian will still need some persuading as he is seeking regular first team football to quit Roma this summer.

Stewart Downing has moved a step closer to joining Liverpool after being told he can leave Aston Villa as long as the Anfield club meet a £19m asking price.
Villa boss Alex McLeish does not want to lose Downing but with the winger stalling on contract talks Villa are ready to cash in.
McLeish has made it clear he will not deny Downing a move to Liverpool and is planning to use the proceeds of a sale to lure Charles N'Zogbia from Wigan.
Downing has edged closer to a move to Anfield
Downing has his heart set on Anfield but a stumbling block could be the transfer fee.
Liverpool have been looking at alternatives with St Etienne's Dimitri Payet considered a possible target.

Bottom line is it isn't arranged but that is the earliest it can happen.

Gael Clichy will snub a move to Roma in favour of a move to Liverpool. He's even willing to sit out his contract to join the reds. Liverpool will up their offer to £6.75mil but that will be their final offer. Wenger will likely take this deal as he wants money to rebuild his squad. Hopefully be wrapped up by early next week.

I have been given some information by a reliable source:
Liverpool are having difficulty agreeing fees for a lot of the English-based players with extraordinary valuations placed on their players. Liverpool are currently playing a waiting game, hoping either the club will eventually deal or the player will help force the move with a written transfer request. For some players, this is sometimes an issue as they lose certain bonus payments as a result of handing in a transfer request.
Downing - AV asking for £20m - Liverpool willing to offer £15m MAX
Adam - Oysten trying to orchestrate bidding war and asking for £12m - Liverpool wanting to pay £9m. There is a good chance a comprimise will be met on this agreement.
Clichy - Wenger won't sell to Liverpool although Clichy wants the move.
Enrique - Newcastle want £12m+, Liverpool only willing to offer £9m
Wickham - Ipswich using Sunderland bid to raise the price on Wickham but player wants Liverpool move. Liverpool have offered £6m + player loan (Shelvey). Ipswich want £10-12m
Mata - Valencia waiting for his stock to rise during the U21 championship before squeezing as much money as they can out of us. We are willing to offer £22m. They are looking at closer to £30m.
Dann - We are interested but again Birmingham asking for £10m+.
Liverpool are getting fed up with overinflated prices although all players wish to move to Liverpool. It's a waiting game really.
Expect comprimises to be met with a couple of deals going through in the next two weeks - more than likely Adam & Wickham first with possibility of Downing.

Why didn't you take a picture on your phone or something to back up this claim?
When there is an event on at Anfield (such as a match, charity event, press related stuff) they cancel all tours, ive had this happen to me once before, i booked a tour a few years back got a phone call in the morning saying they where sorry but it was canceled and moved it to the next day they said it was because there was unexpected work to take place on the pitch, later on pictures came out of alonso garcia and rafa on the pitch
Now to my 'rumour' ive just got in from town from the cinema (orange wednesdays rule!!!) and i saw joey barton driving past on the walk back to moorfields stations past all them restaurants where pink bar is if anyone knows where i mean? ... i personally think this doesnt mean anything, we where linked with him at the end of the season and he is from Liverpool so maybe since its close season then hes just come home to visit family, but you never know!!!

just spoke to sky andrew(football agent) he said there is to be a few deals in and out of anfield in the next week or so! i asked him who and he said wickham is possible but alittle pricey which is why we are looking at other targets (roux) also payet is dc choice but kk not keen downing more likely buy villa being stubborn after young signed for man utd and no one brought in yet. he said we could lose out on other targets clichy, nzogbia and mata because of dc and kk dont want to overpay for players that aint proven.

Forgive me as I know very little of the French League and its standards, apart from the info my boss gives me, who is French. But I am a little confused.
When we are linked with Cissoko, Sissoko, Payet, Sahko etc. everybody says go get them and pay the money they want and never mentions what league they play in. But when the likes of this new lad Roux I think his name is, was linked the league is called a poor league so dont waste 7 million on him.

It was me that started the Walcott rumours, as I have always said I have absolutely no connections within the club what so ever unlike Maca, BUT, I do have a lot of connections, friends, around Europe. It was my Ajax supporters group mate that told me about Suarez coming to LFC way back in October, It was my Milan friend (who is quite high up in their supporters group) who told me Aqualani would not be going to Juve and that Juve would string us along because they where always gonna get Pirlo instead.
I have asked the Eds if they could set up a link with European supporters groups as thier info is usually quite sound, but they replied that it would be too complicated, fair one, anyways back to Walcott, haveing a chat on FB with my Milan mate and he told me both Milan clubs where interested in Walcott but an intermediate between the two agents said forget about it he wants to join his boyhood club and be a part of this new LFC revolution, I will never post from just one source, always at least two, so about a month later me and my Barca mate where having a bit of friendly banta with my Arsenal supporting younger brother about Fab and the rest wanting to high tail it out of there and he said that Walcott wanted to join LFC!
Fair enough two sources, from two parts of the world that don't know each other both stating that they have heard from their respected clubs and their agents, that Walcott is on his way to LFC.
Maca might well be able to inform everyone the day before a signing is made through his inside sources, cheers Maca!! But I offer an honest view from around Europe that have no intention of lying as they are only really bothered about their own clubs if you see what I mean.
And I can see the sense in it, he's 21 and offers the pace up front that we really lack at the moment, Carrol, Suarez and maybe Wickham just don't have it, I suspect he is to be given the Number 10, after his boyhood hero Owen but thats only me speculating!!!

Seen him play there for the U21 but dont know what do you think ed? {Ed009's Note - I think of the two Downing would be more likely to play there, but both can play multiple positions; Mata can double up as a striker.
