I wouldn't take any notice what he says he tweeted there was no deal for cesc going to Chelsea then 12hrs later from that tweet BANG! Chelsea announced the deal lol.he knows zip

{Ed002's Note - There was no deal with Chelsea until the morning of the statement. As such he was correct.}

Eds, how is it possible to "hit" the release clause by offering a player? Seems unimaginable that (in this instance) Liverpool would be obliged to sell if they are offered a combination of cash+players - who determines the value of the players included? I find it difficult to believe that release clauses can be met by anything other than cash.

Agree1 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - I really have no interest in discussing any of this.}

Balague is a reputable Spanish journo n a mate of Rafa. i'm more likely to believe him than that muppet John Cross at the Mirror.

Hi ed's I was just wondering is any interest in will Hughes?

Believable18 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Will Hughes is continuing to attract interest from several clubs including Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle. It remains unconfirmed but it is thought Arsenal, Southampton and Manchester United might also be interested in Hughes at the right price. Derby has priced him at a level which will make a transfer very expensive for the buying club. Liverpool signing Emre Can may have ended interest.}

Ed002, You already confirmed an official offer for lallana a few weeks ago so 1) has Liverpool made and official second offer? You've said Liverpool made a verbal offer to Southampton for lovren, so

2) have Liverpool made and official bid for him since then. You state Liverpool made a bid that seems acceptable for Moreno, just the nitty gritty of money up front being the problem?, so

3) do you personally think Liverpool can sort this, or have they asked after other targets?

And finally, do you know of any other player(s) Liverpool have given a verbal offer or official written offer for? any other players than these three?
Many thanks

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has made two offers for Lallana, neither of which were acceptable. Liverpool made a verbal offer for Lovren which was referred to as "far from acceptable". Liverpool made two offers for Moreno and one was acceptable, but the club do not have the money to make the initial payment. If Liverpool were to increase the bid for Lallana a deal could well happen. Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Shaqiri and Bertrand. I think all of this has been discussed at some length.}

If this is the case you do question exactly how much Liverpool have to spend. Considering they were meant to have a substantial amount from being in the champions league I would say this is a concern.

Falcao to Liverpool.?!?
Makes no sense given the combination of the following: will not come cheap, end of his career.

Cheers ed. Been away for a few days so just wanted an update. Seems not much has changed. Cheers

Why even discuss a player transfer when you know you don't have the money to complete? All this talk of us going all out for better quality seems to be another false dawn. At the end of the day quality costs. I remember when we finished 2nd in 2009 and the expectations were to push on and bring in players to take us to the next level and we ended up bringing in average players. Hope history doesn't repeat itself!

Hi Ed002, Have we shown any interest in Ricardo Rodrigues (Swiss player) left back.And if so, what other clubs have shown interest?

Believable11 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Ricardo Rodriguez has attracted the attention of Inter, Fiorentina and Real Madrid.}

Hi Ed's, if Suarez were to leave to either Barca or Madrid, do you have any idea of who we would target? Perhaps they would change with the excess money in the coffers!

Being linked with Falacao by the same paper reporting on suarez, I don't see how he would play with Sturridge!

Believable3 Unbelievable18

{Ed002's Note - If there is interest in Falcao it will be as a replacement for Suarez. I don't see Falcao moviong to Liverpool. I am not aware of any issue Falcao has with Sturridge.}

If Suarez does leave? I for one would be very happy if he is replaced with Falcao

Sorry edd just curious that if Liverpool are interested in any striker since they are happy to let borini and aspas go. Can't be happy with lambert as our only backup right?

Believable7 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Borini was on loan last season so doesn't effectively count. Aspas was a mistake by Rodgers who is being replaced by Lambert. Unless someone else leaves, then I would think no.}

Heard that a move for Shaqiri is definitely off. He won't be coming to Liverpool this summer, our interest has ended as to speak.

Morning Eds and Reds, Its not a secret that uruguays strongest attribute is there attack, but i'm just wondering if Liverpool have shown any interest in any other uruguayan players, Cheers Dev

Believable6 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from Cavani and Lavezzi from elsewhere, not Liverpool.}

Lavezzi is from argentina

Hi eds do you expect Borini to stay or go?

Believable8 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - He wants to stay - I suspect the club will be happy to let hime go.}

ed's do we have any interest in alexis Sanchez thanks thelfcullah

Believable6 Unbelievable18

{Ed002's Note - There has been some interest from Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on and would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. There have been discussions Juventus in respect of Sanchez and there is no secret that his agent has confirmed that they would be willing to meet the terms that the player desires. However, they are far from agreeing a figure with Barcelona for the sale - very far indeed. Barcelona will be willing to let Sanchez move on for a very significant fee or would be open to using him in a player exchange deal. Barcelona were looking to replace Fabregas with Vidal and were looking to that as an option whilst there is such a difference between what is being asked and what is being offered. However, with talks dragging on and Juventus wanting to keep Vidal their attention shifted from Vidal to Koke and then to Rakitic. There remains the thought that Sanchez might be part of a deal for Suarez.}

Am I right thinking Suarez prefers a move to Real over Barce? Or is he just wanting to play in Spain all together Ed?

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what he thinks, sorry.}

Hi eds,

I know it's doubtful but any chance whatsoever we are interested in Pjanic? Looks a really good player who would fit perfectly into the team.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - PSG and Manchester City remain keen on the signing of Miralem Pjanic. Spurs are aware that he could be available at the right price - but that would be very high. Manchester United also made an enquiry before apponting a new manager, but it went nowhere. Dortmund seem to have dropped their interest. It would take a very significant bid for him to move this summer and I rather think he will stay.}

Didn't Pjanic just sign a new 4 year deal? Wonderful player, but I seems unlikely that there's a chanse we will get him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He won't be signing for Liverpool.}
