Ed002 can you tell
Us what you think wil happen in jan? How many strikers and who we are in for. Lots of names banded about and all I see is no or unlikely.
Cheers red nick {Ed002's Note - Folks ask about Torres, Neymar, Cavani. A "sneaky" bid for Falcao is apparently on the cards. To me, as I have said these are really not going to happen. Dzeko was suggested earlier - would he want to give up playing for a club in the Champions League and give away half his wages to play for Liverpool? I would doubt it and there is no known interest. In January I expect a striker to arrive - perhaps on loan if the manager cannot find a player he wants. Macca mentioned Walcott. There is interest in Hooper. Ba might be available. Sturridge's name comes up but he is the only spare striker Chelsea have and Liverpool were only looking to a loan. There is plenty of time still.}

Ed2 mate I don't think we are in a position to buy world class players if we are honest maybe 12-13M striker. Fans its not only about champions league I'm sure even team like Manchester united couldn't splash 35-40M on one player

Ed002 do you think there is any chance we might get dzeko in jan? he says he wants first team football and maybe he would take a wage cut to get it {Ed002's Note - The problem is that there is no known interest right now. But, there is time before January.}
Ed so do you think if we showed interest then he could be a viable option? {Ed002's Note - I would not think so.}
The only way I could see him being interested in a move away from city is if they splashed the cash on yet another striker.
Same situation with Sturridge at Chelsea, he will only move on if they buy another striker, they may even need two before they let him go as Torres is their only out and out striker.

Hey Eds,
How true are recent rumours of Liverpool being interested in Christian Eriksen from Ajax? Will he be a target come January? (been through the search engine but found nothing concrete)

With city looking to buy another striker in falcao, expect a cheeky bid for Dzeko. Doesn't want to warm the bench. He'd get plenty of time with us!

I have read with Interest in the media today that Emmanuel Adebayor is getting extremely unsettled at White Hart Lane, and is angling at an escape in January. In my opinion he would be an excellent addition the the strike force, playing alongside Luis. He is much more flexible in ability that Andy Carroll and his strike rate is phenomenol. The fact that Spurs only paid £5m for him would suggest taht this could be a perfect January buy.
What do you think ed?
YNWA {Ed002's Note - If he were to bail in January there will not be many options for him and I suspect a move to Russia or perhaps Turkey might be a consideration. If Liverpool are interested maybe he would want commitments about playing? So I don't know at this time.}
I think he would be a great buy in Jan, problem is apparently he has come out of retirement and will be going to the ACON in Jan.

If we would get him for the 5m paid to spurs then i would say it would be a good signing for us but as stated he wants playing time.

Wold be an awful signing. Get him on loan and he might start banging them in (as has been his custome for a long time) but on permanent? - noooo way. Unless he's paid per goal and his basic is £1.50.

Heard rumours today that Jack Colback is being looked at. Possible swap deal with Henderson on the cards. Seems like a like to me?
He is worse than Henderson, did u see the match against Newcastle yesterday!

Ed2 you have said that we didn't get Sturridge in the summer Because we only wanted a loan deal but Chelsea would not stop him leaving if the right bid was made and he wanted to leave. Question is how much is the right bid in £ ? Does he want to leave because he isn't playing ? Will we buy him in January? Thanks ed2. {Ed002's Note - To clarify matters as best I can. In August Liverpool requested Sturridge's agent, presumably after checking that the player would agree, to find out if Chelsea would be willing to loan out Surridge for the season. Chelsea's position was that they would not consider a loan but they would not stand in his way (a) should an acceptable offer be made to buy the player, and (b) should the player ask to leave the club. As for what that amount would be is really not a matter I would want to get in to. As to whether Liverpool will buy him in January, I really don't know. At this point in time, Liverpool has not made an approach to Chelsea about Sturridge - if that changes and I find out, I will be sure to let you know.}

I agree Jose has already said with sahins performances he will command a high fee, we have already payed £4m so surely a fee of around £10-£14m would be enough.

I would suggest that RM would want at least 14 million for Sahin. It would be good if we picked him up for 8-10 million considering the 5million we have spent for his loan period. Other problem is Sahin will more then likely want Champs lge footy which we are not going to provide next year.
