Liverpool are looking to bring in herrera,raphael varnae and the hugely talented isco.Also expect a striker with llorente and huntelaar are the main striker targets due to theire ongoing contract disputes.People who say there's no money,will be proved very wrong come january.There will be a few leaving with joe cole,downing and jordan henderson,and maybe agger if he doesnt except a new contract.

Not a chance! you are desperately clutching.

Lol if we couldn't drop 6mill to sign Dempsey how r we going to sign all these players? Stop making up rubbish!

The issue with Dempsey was apparently his age. I would guess after the debacle of deadline day just gone FSG now understand the cash needs to be spent. Only time will tell if it is available or not.

When the clock ticks to January, we will know whether FSG is willing to spend the money to buy player.

Its getting worse here than the gutter press all these non starter rumours, id only listen to when the club says "he signed today" everything else is poor speculation mostly started by agents wanting there pieces of silver.

Which Raphael? The Mutant Ninja Turtle? we might just be able to afford him but not the rest.

The Plank

That sort of activity NEVER happens in the January window. Try again.

There is serious interest in isco,herrera and llorente,it's not just paper talk.The club will go all out to get all three of them in january.The owners are willing to spend big on isco and herrera as they are young and have the right quality!.Llorente interest them too as he is likely to be available at a knock down price.Cole,downing,henderson and enrique are leaving as the rodgers revolution ccontinues.

Love to have Isco come to LFC. Malaga C.F. stayed twice at the hotel I stayed in on my recent holiday in Fuengirola Spain. Wish I could got him to sign my LFC shirt in advance!

Every window names are pulled out of a hat! it seems this next window will be as comical as the rest !

Owners will never spend big. Fact whatever they have spent on transfer they have tried to recoup. What makes you think they will spend when they even let down Rogers for few millions which has already ended our season. I might be wrong but I think academy is only their plan to take us foward which will take time and will be mid table team for few years in oither words they want success in cheap way which will take 5/8 years at the same time they will hope our youngsters can step if not then we will be in big trouble

We will not sell 3/4 players in Jan. the squad is the smallest for years. Players might leave in Summer but NOT until they have been replaced. FSG will not let that happen again. We have saved £450k a week in wages losing Kuyt, Maxi, Aquilani, Spearing, Bellamy etc. Some of this will be reinvested in Jan on a forward, possibly a left back. Trust in Rodgers

Stop experimenting with the team. It is time to get the right person to manage liverpool. How many revolution do we need to realise that we are falling far behind other teams. Brendan is never the right man to get us forward. Neither are the present owners unless they realise that they need to spend like the others to stay competitively. 20 years is a long time for us to stomach this nonsense. Each time a new manager comes in the team is dismantled and average players are bought. It is the same old story when Brendan bought Allen for 15mn and Borini for 11mn. Why can't we buy players like Arsenal,Cityor even Everton! Joe Allen is just the same average player like Downing,Henderson and we pay ridiculous money for him.We need good talent scout. Please for goodness sake,stop saying Brendan needs time. We have been saying this for the past 20 years with different managers. And i hope for once Gerrard would keep his mouth shut by saying we could be in the top 4 and that England could surprise everyone by winning the world cup!! The day the owners went for Brendan make me realise they simply do not know what they are doing. Simply gutted. {Ed052's Note - hahaha, didn't realise it was April fools. The only man for the lcub is Brendan Rodgers!!}

It's sad how far as a club we have fallen behind other teams.It's a case of our owners having not the ambition or most importantly the cash to take us forward.It would be a great statement if they did sign the likes of isco and llorente but dont hold your breath.I've been saying for a while now that these guys are not much better than the last two owners,they just have a far better PR team.

Hi, Eds. With the whole walcott situation, what are the chances of him joining us, isn't he liverpool fan too?

Ratan {Ed002's Note - There was interest in Walcott over the summer we were told so it would not be out of the question that there may well be interest in January. Alternatively he may sign a new contract at Arsenal. Being a Liverpool fan would not be a significant factor.}

Walcott is a poor man's Michael Owen - has failed to develop any game intelligence and is still lightweight. I'd trust in what we have rather than pander to his ego.

The factor will be the 100k a week he wants. Arsenal have already offered 75k but if Arsenal offer 85k then he may re-sign. Liverpool would also be reluctant to spend 100k on a player who isn't prolific in front of goal.

I can actually see the reason behind it if we went for Walcott. At the moment were playing Suarez centre with Borini right and Stearling left, with Walcott we could have him right while moving Suarez left with Borini playing his preferred central role. Stearling is fantastic back up for both wing roles as he is too young to be playing week in week out. Though he has been our shining light along with Shelvey

Steven Fletcher is a Liverpool fan but he has no qualm scoring against Liverpool and celebrate the goals. That is what we "professional".

Couldn't agree more. (Not being sarcastic here)

Rather have Aaron Lennon

hello ed's
do you think we need theo walcott (as emerging on different sites) as i believe we are covered well in wingers like moving suarez to right wing sterling or assaidi on left . what we lack is finisher and Also is the scouting people we have hired recently made significant contributions ?
wonderful job eds
Lykon {Ed002's Note - There was interest in Walcott over the summer we were told so it would not be out of the question that there may well be interest in January. Alternatively he may sign a new contract at Arsenal.}

Hi eds are we tracking any South American players at the moment? Is Vicosa still being watched?

Thanks
Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - Vicosa remains very unlikely. As for others, there was effort made last season with Caniggia looking at a number of players (as previously discussed). However, with the new manager in place I don't know that the club will be looking to follow up in the short-term but the scouting "network" remains in place.}

Morning eds and fellow reds

Please can eds002 answer this question for me...

With lfc in desperate need, what are the possibilitys of Carroll returning in January?

Cheers, Jack {Ed002's Note - I really don't know the provisions of his loan but he is clearly not in the plans of Brendan Rodgers and I would think the club will look elsewhere for a striker in January after missing out on Clint Dempsey.}

Apart from the loan situation, it may well depend on whether or not Rodgers' plans are working by then.
