Macca, any news?? Seems the targets u suggested were close are edging closer to other destinations?? Are those players still options? If not who could be possible targets??

Hi Mate,

No real news from my side, but i do agree that the targets seem to have changed some what due to the availability of other better players.

The status of one player who is all but done is Ashley Young.

I will try and find definitive answers at the end of the season.

QPR have made enquirys about the availability of Joe Cole. They expect to lose Adel Taarabt in the summer (possibly destined for Liverpool due to DC connection?) and are looking for a cut price replacement, the only potential stumbling block would be his wages. Although Bernie Ecclestone has said their will be substantial funds available in the summer should they reach the premiership which is looking most likely.

Ed: Who is Most Likely to get Roman Lukaku . .Us , Chelski or Man s**tty Or even Spurs?? Taa

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea. Anderlecht want 30M euro and I can't see any of the clubs paying that. I know they are talking about the EPL being his destination, but I would not rule out Juventus or a deal with Ajax for a smaller fee and a sell on deal.}

Well ed would just like to say I posted about the stadium last night I done the tour after the city match and got my info from a young lady while I was in the dug out. . Would just like to say the person who said I am not a reliable source "give it a break" am only putting up what I was told and in case you don't know all the tour guides change round for each tour so maybe it was two diff guides. . Plus don't put up am not a reliable source when there is people on this RUMOURS site not facts site saying we going to sign agureo and kaka bale and every other world class player. The face man. What you say ed {Ed001's Note - to be honest I have no idea about the tours as I have never done one myself, I would expect there to be a number of different guides with their own opinions.}. That's way happens ed different guide for every part of the tour. would like to see what really happens wit the stadium and if my info is wrong I will put my hand up and say so but this is only second hand info. . Cheers ed

Ed what do you think of hulk? {Ed002's Note - I think he is a very good player who would fit right in to the EPL. I think he will prove to be a very good buy for someone. He has Champions League football if he wishes to stay at Porto, suitors in a couple of major sides, certainly AC Milan and possibly both Manchester clubs amongst others. Whilst I really don't see him moving to Liverpool this summer I am afraid, there remains a slight possibility that it could happen.}

Jose Enrique to AC Milan

Supposedly the offered 15million (euros) and Newcastle have taken it on board to free up more cash.

Apparently Newcastle will have £35m from Carroll, E15m from Enrique and Ashley is adding £10m, they are going to get Gervinho, Ngog, Konk, Gomis and try for Spearing(OL) plus they want to finalise the Ben Arfa deal and buy a new CB; Sahko is Pardew's first choice.

That is what i was told by my mate who was heavily involved in Newcastle under the Shearer Era.

(Hoping to shed light on Jay, Ngog and Enrique.

With the emergence of Martin Kelly and John Flanagan, KK has decided to out Glen Johnson up for sale for 20m, as he prefers Kelly playing at right back. Real Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan are interested, but it looks as if Tottenham are willing to put up the cash to sign him. We may offer him in a swap deal for Luka Modric or Aaron Lennon, but sources persist with Tottenham stumping up the cash to take him to London.

just today johnson has told skysports he's commited to liverpool and isn't going anywhere, i think he'l be used as a winger next season

Quote: "RE stadium waiting go ahead. Done the anfield tour the day after the city match and the tour guide answered my question about the new stadium I asked were we moving she replied liv city council give full promission the week previous to start work on are beloved anfield and she said we are just waitin on the new owners to take the plunge. when I asked what was happening she said the main stand anfield road and the kop all going up and back and we will have boxes all the way round. It will be opened at 65,000 and bit by bit will be worked on as utd did when it is finished it will be a 80,000 seater."

Ed's, I also took the stadium tour the day after the Man City Match and the very same question was asked by someone, The tour guide told us that the decision on the stadium has not yet been made. Both options (expansion and new stadium) are still being considered. It seems they are concerned with not losing the atmosphere at matches. Moving to a new stadium might not help, look at Arsenal and the emirates for example.

That is what I heard on my tour, whoever spouted the quote above shouldn't be considered reliable. I've not really posted on here before because I've not had any good info, but on this matter I do.

Cheers,
Tombomb

One interesting transfer news that's just come to me.
Everton are interested in Ngog and are willing to pay upto 4m for him.
A bid will be placed as soon as the window opens.
list of interests.
1) Ngog to Everton
2) Cole to Villa/ Spuds/ Fulham
3) Spearing to Newcastle/ Blackburn
These are only the EPL interests in Liverpool players but I believe the Ngog to Everton is very much an on deal.

***********************
1. Please can this be true! !
2. Sure Arry will buy Cole to fill the treatment room bench with Woodie, King, Dawson, Bale & co. I will hold thumbs for this.
3. Spearing is going nowhere unless on loan.

Just been told from a customer of mine who's friends with the wigan athletic physio that if wigan get relegated that liverpool with push through a cheap deal for n'zogbia, he said we been tracking him for months. just what i been told thought i'd share it with you all. great site by the way ed. have u heard this by any chance {Ed001's Note - I hadn't heard that at all, I heard that Wigan refused to consider any interest in January and are still refusing to consider anything until the season is over. But that is all I know.}

Hi Ed, is it true that none of Macca's so called nailed on signings namely: Ashley Young, Charlie Adam, Karim Benzema and Sylvain Marveaux are joining us in the summer due to change in circumstances?

Well, I just heard from a reliable insider that we tried to sign Benzema in Jan and Real didn't let him go, so we went for Carroll. That's the end of as we'll try to sign 1 up an coming Striker who would be happy to play a backup role. I can also reveal that at the moment Damien Comolli is lining up Kevin Gameiro for that role. It's still not final but he's the front runner.

We also moved our attention from Adam (spurs bound) and Young (Man U bound) to Defour and Payet respectively. Specially Payet deal is very close. As for Marveaux, due his bad injury record it has been put on hold and the alternative mentioned is Diego Perotti from Sevilla!

Anyway, I think I've given too much info already for everyone's digest.

Ed, do you think my source is wrong??? {Ed001's Note - no, I think your info is a lot closer than Macca's right now, but it could change completely by the time the window opens. But none of the 4 are looking likely that Macca put forward, they were all January targets but we are looking elsewhere for the summer.}

Have it on good authority, we are going to bid for the following players(should get 3-4 of below):
Aguero, Hazard, Sanchez, Hulk, Baines, Enrique.

The only reason Reina accepted to continue at LFC is because of this.

Another interesting bit-
Kenny to get a 3-year contract.The delay is because Camolli wants to be the seen as the person driving the football club forward and its unlikely with Kenny incharge.

Ed, what are the chances of these signing out of 10?

Sergio Auero
Ashley Young
Karim Benzema
Hulk
Xabi Alonso
Stewart Downing
Jose Enrique
Fabio Coentrao
Aly Cissokho

???

Cheers! {Ed002's Note - 1, 7, 3, 3, 2, 2, 5, 1, 2}

I've heard a rumour that the management is not very keen on marveaux(sp) due to his injury problems.
Paulo piatti of almeria is been scouted instead and a low bid of 4-5mil maybe made as almeria are going down.
I admit the source is not very reliable, but he has no reason to lie.

Ed a guy has told me that ansaldi is almost nailed on but I thought it was just an old media story he was talking about. Now ur sources have said a prem club have had him watched and another poster has said that he was informed that we watched him. I wouldn't mind this guy as he is a very good player nothing exceptional but a good solid player who can defend and go forward very well.
He also said that we enquired about Cahill and he is sure to move and is free to talk to clubs about a deal over the next few weeks. I really had hoped this not to be true as I would prefer zat knight before him that's what I think of him, have u heard this?
Adam is prob not comin now(much to ed007's disappointment) as u have said in ur post as he mayb moving away. Newcastle is the club this guy said is to where he will go. I don't have any direct contact with officials like you ed's but talk alot to guys who regularly go to games etc. . And this is what this particular lad has said. He also said a double swoop for young and downing is on the cards but definitely one of them coming in.
Let me know what u think of these they sound more realistic than some of the other rubbish I've been told.

Fowler is god {Ed002's Note - Ansaldi's agent is talking him up no end with Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid showing an interest or "making contact". Certainly Bayern Munich and Roma have shown an interest and there is a thought that AC Milan might show an interest as well. I suspect the enquiry about Cahill is true and I think you might be the first Liverpool fan who has ever suggested Zat Knight - who I think is mediocre. For me Johnson or Dann would be much better solutions. My views on Adam are well known already, so no need to go there.}

In england, footballers get taxed 50% of their wages, we'll have to double what he's getting now at Athletico for him to get the same amount here after tax

Can we stop this nonsense please. The so called Beckham tax allowed foreigners to pay only 24% tax on spanish earnings for a 5 year period. On 1 January 2010 Spain changed it's tax law and on all contracts signed since then there is a cap of 600000 euros so foreign footballers now have to pay normal income tax with a top rate of 43%. The Beckham tax never applied to spanish players or players who played in spanish football for more than 5 years.

{Ed002's Note - You are missing the point. It is not the % tax that is the driver, but Agueros contract provides a salery Net of tax, not Gross.}

Sergio Aguero is currently on less than Joe Cole is at Liverpool, he earns 96,000 euros a week, which works out at less than 5 million euros a year. Where the hell does this 200k a week come from?

It is well documented that Aguero wants to leave Athletico at the end of the season, He signed a new contract in January and is on a lot more than 96.000 euros, And there have been many Spanish journalists who have a good idea what is happening in Spain, and have said about his wage demands, And they have also said that Real are very interested in buying him in the summer. Carlos Slim has a stake in FSG does this make Liverpool the richest club in the world? This guy makes Bill Gates look like a pauper. Big things are going to happen in the summer ALL THE PLAYERS KNOW THIS KK will be given a very large transfer budjet but it will be kept hush hush to keep transfer fees at a reasonable level , how do i know this i was at a BBQ with our young right back two players were mentioned Defour and Lukaku. This is the first time ive posted believe or don't believe I don't mind all i know is the burgers where good . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Absolute rubbish. A planning application with get validation within 1 month of submitting an appliaction (give or take a week), this is to speed up the decision process. 2-3 years??? Nonsense.

I have it on good authority that FSG are looking to redevelop anfield, rebuilding the anfield road and main stand whilst leaving the kop and centenary untouched. capacity of approx 64,000. It will look very much like St James Park for those of you who are familiar with that stadium. However expect it to be 2-3 years before permission granted and works are underway.
