Question for the Eds. If Grujic is to come in next summer, is it likely that either/or both Allen and Lucas may move on?

Also, whilst he looks like a decent young prospect, I'm worried that nothing will change and we will continue to speculate rather than going in for proven players.

{Ed001's Note - Allen is very likely to leave, possibly in January.}

Is Swansea the only option for Allen Ed? Personally I can't see anyone else taking a risk on a player who has failed to impress so consistently for a few seasons, unless of course it is at a minuscule fee?

{Ed001's Note - not the only one but the most likely.}

I live in Swansea and all my mates follow the Swans, and none of them thinks Joe Allen is coming back to play here. Or at least they haven't heard anything not even rumours.

The situation is that with Swansea being without a manager it is only likely to be a loan deal. Cutis knows the player well And he would add quality to the midfield. Strong rumour here is the swans want Shelvey out. Joe would be a great replacement.

I know we do not mention money but would you have any idea what sort of fee a) we are looking for and b) what we can reasonably expect to get for Allen?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no, it has no interest or relevance to me or any of us. We would need to know how much of the fee we would actually get after all the outgoings such as taxes, agent fees etc plus factor in the potential wage savings before we could possibly have anything of relevance.}

Why want Shelvey out mate?

Red Star Belgrade have accepted a £5.1m bid from LFC for midfielder Marko Grujic. Apparently we'll loan him back to them till the Summer.

Ed2 have we shown recent interest in ter stegen? Cataluna radio saying he's had an offer from us. don't believe it myself.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool, as a club, has never shown any interest in ter Stegen, although it is fair to say that he has expressed some consternation recently. I suspect the fans would like him in the same way they seem to think Liverpool have done deals for Diego Lopez, Tino Horn, Bernt Leno, Samir Handanovic etc.. I am surprised nobody mentions Karius of Klipperty's old club as well. Whilst Klopp recently ruled out a new goalkeeper in January he could well be thinking that something needs to be done after recent performances. There is other stuff going on at Barcelona that could see the situation for ter Stegen change ofver the summer, so we need to wait and see.}

23 Dec 2015 08:24:23
Thanks ed. You mentioned karius before, but like you said, who wants too sell their main gk in jan. You mentioned before about marc stendara and yunnus malli. Summer targets perhaps?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Eintracht Frankfurt's Marc Stendera has been recommended to Chelsea by a former player as one who will likely play a major part of the next generation of German players. Bayer Leverkusen had an enquiry about him rebuffed but that may not deter Dortmund in the summer.

Mainz will have no interest in selling Yunus Malli in January but are aware that Bayern Munich, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray have all looked at the player. For the summer, Malli is the sort of player who Klopp may have Liverpool scouts look at, particularly given that he knows the player well. An ex-German international tells me he is getting better and better and would suit the English game. He is also the sort of player that a club like Arsenal may look to if they are planning Central or Attacking Midfield changes in the summer. Speculative.}
